Many of Emirichu's collabs with Connor and Daidus are on Connor's channel, I really recommend it. Also he has a fair share of stuff to react, like him visiting various weird cafes thanks to a former adult video actress showing him around. Also he does the most hillarious cursed cosplay videos.
I had one in high school who made fun of me for watching Sailor Moon, Inuyasha and Kim Possible. Everytime I put my opinion of certain anime or geek culture, he'll say "SHUT THE HELL UP! You like these inferior shows!" It stopped when a teacher who actually watches anime told him off and said, "I like those shows too! Does that make me 'stupid?'" He basically dared the kid to roast him. Since then, the kid stopped making fun of my anime tastes.
When I was in high school, the anime club also had all the emo kids and goths, and since everyone else was scared of the goths, it made it a safe space for the weebs to join in and not get bullied as much.
There are some videos I highly recommend, not from Emirichu this time, but from CDawgVA, where he, Daidus, and Emirichu have drawing competitions, starting with We Voice Our Drawings
When they were talking about the comics they made when they were younger and were describing Bob i just went 'So they made re-destro?' literally fits the description to a t. Spiky hair, long nose and serious anime faces with the shadowing over the face.
17:05 Holy shit i thought i was the only one who did that! I stopped though because when i actually got into a Art class i didn’t want people thinking thats what the teacher was making us draw because he was a really nice dude.
The more I watch your videos, the more I realize we are so much alike. I LOATHED middle school. I didn't have _too_ much of a problem with high school, but I definitely hated school 3rd thru 8th (I repeated 3rd, so about 9 years of hell).
I went to a club in High School called Fandom It was filled with people with the same interest as me like Anime and Video Games We usually just played Smash Bros for a hour and a half
... ok, now i really want to see their reaction to ''The Anime Man VS. My Trash Taste in Romance Anime'' (as something inbetween this video and Childhood Crushes vol II)
When I was in High School and Middle School people went after me for the shit i liked. Being someone who never knew I was autistic till I was 21. I learned a long time ago, dont give a shit to fuck heads. And they still went after me. But I learned the art of dont fucking touch me or I'll rip you a new one fast. And thats what got people to leave me alone because they learned. Touch me or my crud I'll break your everything.
Also my transition when it comes to 'adult content' was casual. Growing up in a Catholic household, when I first learned about 'the birds and the bees' it was through Sex ed and they were very practical. I was in the 5th grade. I didn't know ANY of the lingo so adult jokes still went over my head. Then I finally read my first romance novel when I was 18, when I got to a love scene for the first time, I still didn't quite understand what was happening, so it was a shock to realize, "OMG are they really doing that?! They're not even married yet!" Lol, remember in my house, one was raised to be married before 'doing the deed' lol. It was at this time, when I talked to my mom about this, why she didn't allow me to read romance novels yet lol. Come to my mid-20s, this was when I finally learned the lingo and was very curious about 'adult anime'. I just . . . looked it up online lol, including adult literature lol. I just did it at night because I was terrified of ANYONE seeing me look it up. Heck I still do it that way because if my mom EVER found out of the adult stuff I looked up, I'd be getting an earful lol.
You should get to know Daidus channel. He is hilarious. He presents himself as a degenerate and it's super funny. He has guides on how to sleep in class, how to steal food from your roommates and how to be a basement dweller.
You guys should really check out more of Connor when he collabs with Ironmouse. They have the funniest dynamic, almost like a bickering married couple.
I remember my weeb years, I think I was trying to combine every anime into one ultimate crossover, then the new 10s came and I started buying a lot of weeb games now
Interestingly, I'm a millenial myself and yet anime was pretty mainstream back in the day for my middle and high school. So it might have also been a regional thing.
True story. In High School, I had Pokemon cards that I took to school with me sometimes in addition to my DS. It was a bit of a transitional period in social norms, so taking a DS and playing Pokemon wasn't a big deal, kinda. It was later in the day and my soccer teamnwas preparing for a game. I had my DS, and one of the kids mentioned that maybe we could play Pokemon later to which I responded, "Oh, you have a deck?" I realized too late that he was referring to the video game, not the cards, and when they realized I had a whole card deck my team started laughing at me. The worst part was, my dad was there to support me, and he overheard the whole thing. At the end of the game, he shouted out to me, "Let's have a Pokemon party at home!" He was trying to be supportive, but the looks my team gave me...
Two things First, Princess Mononoke was my first real anime thing I watched ever and I watched it in my environmental science class. Secondly, these guys said been ugly makes it easy for people to stay away from you, but being average looking makes you a king of shadows because now people have nothing to even make fun of you for so you just don’t exist to them.
I've been loving these Emirichu reactions! Hope you don't get more claims, that sucks :/ Other videos from her I'd recommend are My Strange Habits, High School Theater, My First Adorable Pet and My Asian-American Identity Crisis, just to mention some of my personal faves :3
Gaia Online was the first online game I ever played and I went through the story missions while also making friends. I believe I got to the underwater portion at the time. Sadly one day my password wouldn't work anymore because I gave my info to someone I trusted for a reason I can no longer remember. This made me give up Gaia as I didn't want to start over and I stuck to my PlayStation 2 games. At least I learned the valuable lesson early on. Edit: I just remembered that while in school I met someone who also played it. We became friends and she drew our avatars.
I still got the amv hell videos downloaded onto an external from years ago. Those videos is how I found out about paprika with the whole "I'm on shrooms! YAAY!" bit.
I dont think that Emirichu has a Problem with reaction, after all there are tons out there. It's RUclips being a S*ut again. 🤷♀️ I would have demanded that Coach to pay money for that CD!
I was a TEEN when the internet came out to the public (it did exist prior, but only the Military used it. My dad told me he used it when he was Air Force, and this was late 80s/early 90s). Anyway, my oldest internet friends, I met by PURE chance through basically a website about unicorns. Forums weren't created YET, but we had like a page for interaction with our emails, so we contacted each other through emails, and sometimes they be grouped together. This was back in 1999. In 2000, I joined Yahoo! Clubs and met more people that way lol. Oh I should mention that my fav internet content creator, I've been following her stuff since 1997 lol. She's actually the same age as me, but so much more talented! The idea she made an entire Sailor Moon page as a teen using beautiful graphics is just amazing. She now makes her own webcomics and publishes them herself. But yeah in 1997, I learned about Sailor Moon and tried to find as much Sailor Moon stuff as possible and luckily at the time, images could easily be found online. So I found out about the manga and Outer Scouts before those things even came to the states.
You guys should check out both The Emirichu’s and The Anime Mans Romance anime Teir list because the bickering between The Anime man, Emily, & Daidus is golden
In elementary school, I was literally drawing, like people shooting one another, and blood, yet literally, no one batted an eye, but then again that was in Poland, so yeah maybe a different climate, and that was 2012-2014.
Ok, so. Now I would really like you to react to "Guess That Meme (Ft. @Emirichu & @Daidus)" that's in Connor's channel to laugh my ass off for real! though Connor, a.k.a CDawgVA, has other 'Guess that' videos with Emirichu and Daidus. These are all basically drawing competition videos where someone, rarely Emily, has to draw different stuff from *memory only* according to the theme, and the other two have to guess what it is and get points for correct answers. I know it's really basic but with these people it ends up being really entertaining! If my memory doesn't fail me they have done it with: specifically Anime Memes, Pokemons, Video Game characters and Waifus (not only anime related). 'Guess that meme' it's the first one. If it's possible I'd like to see it.
Yeah, Connor is awesome. He goes by CDawgva, as far as i know of he's a really good voice actor. You guys are so awesome, i always lo9ve your reactions
I learned at an early age to keep my interests private. I got picked on for crying about Charlotte's Web in 3rd grade. That's all anyone saw me as for 3 years, that gross crybaby at the back of the room. I don't think the fact that it was a Catholic elementary school helped much, either. I switched to public school in 7th grade, and did eventually find friends with similar interests.
You guys got bullied over your nerdiness? I never got bullied over it. But then again for most years of school I was the big quiet kid in the back of the class, and everyone knows to be mindful of the big quiet kid in the back. Being left alone was pretty nice.
I was first introduced to adult anime in 7th grade we were on a school field and the kid sitting next to me was watching it on his phone and even offered for me to watch it as well.
Back in the early 2000's when I was still in high school I watched some anime (not much) like Dragonball Z (who didn't?), Witch Hunter Robin & Science team Gatchamon (Battle of the planets). I also listened to alot of Heavy metal (Metallica, Slipknot, Rammstein, Rob Zombie, System of a down, etc.) and classic rock. Didn't know that my best friend that I had been friends with since we were 12 years old and bowled together on Saturdays (we went to different schools) was a big anime nut after I saw his dvd shelf at his family's house out in the country one day (Dude had everything from "Ninja Scroll" to "Gundam: Wing").
I was homeschooled through high school but when I was still in public school I can tell you nobody like Britney Spears at the school I went to. We were classy it was all about AcDc, Metallica, Nickleback, & linkinpark.
I would like to thank you for taking the beatings by the time I got to middle school it wasn’t all cool yet but me and my friends could bring our pokemon cards to lunch and play and it was completely normal it got better in high school a lot more was expected
in group project they wouldn't let me do anything and shunned me then id get yelled at for not participate but i'm like but they won't let me help then i would be sad
People got bullied because of pokemon? Damn, I have never seen such an episode in my childhood, for real, cause everyone was watching and collecting pokemon. Also back in the days the word anime didn't exist, we just called them cartoons. The first time I heard such word was in 2013 lol. I guess the experience changes a lot from country to country.
In my high school there was a anime club but I was in middle school when I heard about it and I was excited to go to high school to join this club BUT the day I made it to the high school the club was no longer a thing and I was very upset because now I don’t know how to express my love of anime and not be bullied for it! And my first anime con I didn’t have enough money for a cosplay but I had this invader zim green hoodie of Gir and so I decided to just walk around with the hoodie up because the hoodie had gir’s ears on and I was with my step dad and a good hand full of people said nice things about my hoodie and how cute it was some even asked if the could take pictures and I asked if it would be okay if I cover my eyes to make it look like I’m in cosplay of gir and they said that’s fine and if it made me comfortable it was really fun
There was an anime club at my high school but it was during lunch hour and it was in an area where you're not supposed to eat I went to like one meeting of it for like 20 minutes but they were watching an anime that I wasn't into and so I excuse myself after like one episode... My best friend went to it now and then just see what anime they were watching but he would excuse himself before the end of one so he could actually eat. Sometimes he would sneak food in and eat in there I never really had an embarrassing weeb years... At least not that I can remember
Tbh, I’m a strange weeb…I kinda grew up with ultraman(also with Godzilla and gamera etc) rather than anime(I still saw anime and such) Dumb joke: Alt genre khorne Pop-khorne New game: if you respond to “that’s racist”, that means you lose. One last thing, parents from 2002 get pissed…
I remember this one time I was ashamed and embarrassed there was this anime I was aware of called seikon no qwaser. And there was dis kid in class uploaded an upbeat remix of animes that was popular, there was naruto there was blue exorcist, than there was that scene straight from the anime where Sasha and that nun chick are fighting in the church n I guess the whole daisy dance was meant to blend with the song, right when they comin n close to rhe camera I kn what was the follow up scene, I was WOAH WOAH trying to push away the image, ofc that part NVR showed n everybody r just like dude come down, I guess nobody knew of it, n in my head i was like am I the only one who knows, and i saw the kid at who uploaded it just starring at me n I nvr felt so ashamed.
Man I’m a gen z but I still used to get shamed for liking anime and I was in highschool when like attack on titans and like yuri on ice came out , it sadly didn’t become cool to like anime for people in my area till like I was in college.
I was called a tomboy and a lesbian because I had a Gameboy and I never knew they were insults because those are simply facts
Fuck man, gamers were truly oppressed back then 😢
Can’t say Gameboy without boy and GAY.

The videos Connor does with Abroad in Japan would also be prime react material
I could be wrong but doesn’t he have negative views on reaction channels.
57:36
Yes, he legit bought those JoJo suits for a couple hundred dollars. Welcome to Connor being the biggest JoJo fanboy.
Yea my first experience to “adult anime cartoons” was High School DxD
Mine too.
I had one in high school who made fun of me for watching Sailor Moon, Inuyasha and Kim Possible. Everytime I put my opinion of certain anime or geek culture, he'll say "SHUT THE HELL UP! Yo that’s rare abs so crazy good for u man
56:43 dude no, you ain't ugly, bro your stunning and do you know why?, because you have a big heart and thats what matters
When I was in high school, the anime club also had all the emo kids and goths, and since everyone else was scared of the goths, it made it a safe space for the weebs to join in and not get bullied as much.

I really hope ya'll end up watching Emily's "Falling into the Genshin Hole" and "Anime Man vs. My Trash Taste in Romance Anime", those are hilarious.
I remember when people made fun of me for being a marvel comics nerd. Now everyone knows who Thanos is.
45:28 this conversation is too funny
Parents ignorance is basically how I got into video games,on top of me being a tunnel rat as a kid
It's pretty good now since more people watch anime and don't encounter these bullies
Yeeeeah, they still exist.
@@artistanthony1007 I only met those online. All student I know liked to watch some form of anime
@@artistanthony1007 I mean that's true but I feel like it happens less now than it did before.

I second that.
Props to you guys, keep up the great work!!

If someone took my precious Yugioh cards in the trash I throwing them in the garbage truck! "MY PRECIOUS! I believe in precious!"
So, who else discovered "adult anime cartoons" through Newgrounds and an artist by the name of Zone?
56:57
Nate my man... you a TOTAL BEAR, no shit you appeal to them
Interestingly, I'm a millenial myself and yet anime was pretty mainstream back in the day for my middle and high school.
So it might have also been a regional thing.
Some of the physical games i grew up with:

2. LeapFrog LeapPad games.

Ah yes, Connor’s Jojo suit collection
I’m with you guys about Bakugo’s Mom.
The Chris Redfield parody of the One Piece for Kids opening is still better than the original. They call it Chrisposting for a reason
Some of the bands i grew up with:
1. Imagine Dragons.
2. ColdPlay.
I STILL love I.D to this day.
Go down the Cdawgva rabbit hole that was you guys end up meeting his partner in crime Ironmouse:)
You guys got bullied over your nerdiness? I never got bullied over it. But then again for most years of school I was the big quiet kid in the back of the class, and everyone knows to be mindful of the big quiet kid in the back. Being left alone was pretty nice.
My first off brand was La Blue Girl
I remember I had an iPod Nano and a SanDisk Sansa (I probably still have them, just buried under a bunch of stuff)
Lamb of god and children of bodem both good band and now both bands I need to binge listen to some of there music for a while.
I was first introduced to adult anime in 7th grade we were on a school field and the kid sitting next to me was watching it on his phone and even offered for me to watch it as well.

Hi, I would love to see you guys react to emirichu's drawing videos because they are hilarious and cdawgs are also funny!
Thank you for sperring us suffering, but I was still bullied.
FUCK!!!1 YOU MADE US LOSE THE GAME, EMIRICHU!!!!
Where can I find this guy’s comics? They sound awesome!

Bible black was my first as well. I think we all know which scene we have seen. Of the infirmary.
What's Bible Black? I never heard of that show.
I have a princess mononoke DVD disk when I was young, and I watch the shit out of it, like probably 30 times or something
Sonic made fun of Mario and Luigi for watching anime and Mario caught Sonic watching Sonic X.
THE GAME!!
1:03:52 Ngl, this nearly made me jump outta my seat
that game.... blast
i lost
in group project they wouldn't let me do anything and shunned me then id get yelled at for not participate but i'm like but they won't let me help then i would be sad
Personally when I saw renegades I immediately think of the gobots
i have been a growing weed ever since i was 17 now im 22 wanting the opening to Future Diaries because my theme song
I would suggest watching Please Let Me Explain studios. Rebecca has this flair about her
I'm a little surprised Nate doesn't know who Connor is. He's on the Trash Taste podcast with Gigguk
Connor gives Timothee Chamalet, a run for his money!
I was the cool artist kid drawing naruto and dragonball maybe cuz I was big and no one could bully me lol

You forgot to link Emirichu's video in the desc.
Welp this is the first time I’m hearing the phrase “douche canoe”
Renegade nation here 🔥
There was an anime club at my high school but it was during lunch hour and it was in an area where you're not supposed to eat
I went to like one meeting of it for like 20 minutes but they were watching an anime that I wasn't into and so I excuse myself after like one episode... My best friend went to it now and then just see what anime they were watching but he would excuse himself before the end of one so he could actually eat. I never really had an embarrassing weeb years... At least not that I can remember
ah yes *weed years*

@@alakazamlover4908 lmao im sorry-
Tbh, I’m a strange weeb…I kinda grew up with ultraman(also with Godzilla and gamera etc) rather than anime(I still saw anime and such)
Dumb joke: Alt genre khorne
Pop-khorne
New game: if you respond to “that’s racist”, that means you lose.
One last thing, parents from 2002 get pissed…
One thing, turns out no one knows, yet knows how scary the Godzilla creepypasta(goji73 dub) is.
Man I’m a gen z but I still used to get shamed for liking anime and I was in highschool when like attack on titans and like yuri on ice came out , it sadly didn’t become cool to like anime for people in my area till like I was in college.
the only person who can end "the game" is the PM on the UK for some reason
