  • It should be noted that the current video focuses on the life accounts, societal realities, community and regional development and transition of late Hassan Ali Bahadur. The third video discussion will be published ahead.
Mr. Hassan Ali son of Arbob Muhammad Ali was born in 1929 In Kirmin, Chipursan Valley of Hunza, Northern Pakistan. He is also commonly known by his nickname as “Bahadur.” When Mr. Hassan Ali reached to his 19 years of age, he joined Gilgit Scout in 1948 in order to take part in the Liberation War of Gilgit-Baltistan and literally took part in it. He dedicatedly served as instructor in Gilgit Scout and was promoted only up to Lance Nike. After spending four years with Gilgit Scout, he resigned from the security forces , when observed some valid discrimination with regard to his promotion ahead. In 1951-52, he went to Karachi and was among the very few people in the largest city of Pakistan. Earlier than him late Gul Muhammad of Gulmit had reached Karachi, though late Muhammad Magh son of Shah Muhammad of Passu was in Sind living in Hyderabad. However, it was also interesting to note that late Mukhi Ghulam Baqir son of Ghulam nasir was already in Karachi who has also served the military and had spent sometimes in Ambala (India) during his services.
Being a soldier and in his youth, Mr. Hassan Ali Bahadur joined the Port Trust in the security wing as a employee.Along side his employment, he then also significantly contributed to his community in Karachi as a devoted volunteer when it was the time of Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan III who was Imam of the Time of the Shia Ismaili community. Mr. Hassan Ali had thus joined the Aga Khan Volunteer Corp in Karachi.
When Imam Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan departed from this temporal world and designated and appointed Noor Mawlana Shah Karim al-Hussaini Aga Khan as his successor and Imam of the Time in the Atomic eara, Mr. Hassan Ali was in Karachi in July 1957.When Imam of The Time, Prince Karim Aga Khan visited for the first time as the Imam of the Shia Ismaili community in Karachi, Mr. Hassan Ali was one of those fortunate volunteers who served the stage and got a golden opportunity to meet and get literally the blessings from his beloved Imam of the Time: He spoke for a short while with Mr. Hassan Ali in Urdu and advised him to remain strong and be blessed.
When His Highness, Prince Karim Aga Khan was visiting Gilgit-Baltistan Region and especially the Hunza State, Mr. Hassan Ali left Karachi and moved towards Hunza in order to contribute his part in preparing and training the volunteers within his limited capacity. When the then Mir of Hunza, late Muhmmad Jamal Khan son of Mir Ghazan Khan sought his help in the security management, Mr Hassan Ali reached on the spot in Central Hunza from Chipursan vally and did play his due role in many ways, especially in the stage of Altit in October 1960. In the aftermath, Mr. Hasan Ali Bahadur took an initiative to give the basic training to the volunteers of Aga Khan Volunteers in Chipursan valley based in Kirmin, Reshit and Spenj. Similarly, in 1976, when His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan , accompanied by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (then Prime Minister of Pakistan) visited Hunza, Mr. Hassan Ali was present there as a dedicated volunteer and recollects the event yet in many terms.
