John's mindset when making a video (probably): 'Y'know, I should probably ease out on these challenges. There's a lot of cool trivia and other quirks in Pokémon I could make a video on, I could probably take a break from testing myself once in a-' 'Alright, I've booted up the game, let's see how much I'm going to suffer this time around.'
I’ve watched every challenge video you’ve put out so far. This one’s easily your most involved, since most of your other ones, while hard to complete, boil down to mostly menial labor. This one required a lot of planning and thinking compared to those in my opinion.
@@pelican3916 Well, in Dark Souls 2, there's a special ring that makes your weapon invisible. It's obtained by not resting at a single bonfire. Another one is obtained by not dying.
Chaoskiller IRAQ Ah, that’s really interesting! I didn’t know that DS2 actually gave you an item for never using bonfires. I don’t know how practical that ring would be, but I’m sure people appreciate getting an actual in-game item for accomplishing such a challenge.
@@pelican3916 Well, it is sorta useful for trickery in PvP and can be used to create themed builds, but it isn't really useful for the majority of players and acts more like a proof that you've done it.
A mistake I noticed was that you said Rhydon and Aerodactl were quad weak to ice, but rock types actually take neutral damage from ice moves, so it would only be double effective.
@ClevelandGOAT yeah, psychic was immune to ghost and poison and bug were super effective against each other, but I'm pertty sure rock wasn't weak to ice
@@KinjiroTheThunder and gust, too. Also focus energy actually lowers your critical hit rate, there's a glitch where moves miss even if they have 100 accuracy... Gen 1 has a lot of very weird errors of that kind

That was awesome to see you beat this challenge without any type of healing for even the Power Points. Makes one think more creatively to play this game in such a way.
What I really like about this stuff is that you’re kinda forced to use some Pokemon but is a new way of playing and is very fun, with this challenge, you end up liking Spearow and Diglett much more than before
