Enjoyed that very much! An excellent idea which I didn't think would work so well as it clearly does.

Glad you enjoyed it - their design and quality of build is superb.

I've got the cheapy £9 yookers and you don't seem to be able to unscrew the nib on these. I really like it. Some times you need that fraction more speed than a fountain pen and it's great. The only 'downside' for me (which be other people's upside) is that it makes your ink last for ages. I like whizzing through the ink in my fountain pens as I love a change of shade/colour. Great pen though and when I did recently find it had dried out, i just stuck the nib section in a pot of water for 20 mins and all was well.
I see the black grid version - Metis - is at Cult Pens now for £45

Hi, Rebs. Yes, I'm really very impressed with the Yookers. I've always liked those fibre-tip-type of pens since I first bought one in about 1980 or so - a delightful, very slim aluminium pen with a fine nib. I think it's disappeared now, sadly. I'm rather like you - I don't use pens to write as much as I would like, and the ability to change ink more often would be very appealing. Hey ho! I'll just have to get used to the same colour for a bit longer!

Excellent pens, not seen them before. Thank you as always.

I have a Yookers 751. I gave up on trying to get a converter to fit, but a cartridge with Diamine Writer's Blood is working well and the nib has not yet tried out despite infrequent use.

If you're still interested, the new Kaweco convertor is what I've been using - fits perfectly.

I'm sorry! I keep getting blamed by people for forcing them to go out and buy ...!

These pens are magnificent! I’m going to wait until they get a 0.1 or 0.3 mm :) since those are the ones I’d use the most to draw

You worst standards are higher than most others. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Nice alternative! How sturdy are the nibs? I would worry about lending the pen, but then I tend to worry about everything.

They are simple fibre tips, so I assume that they will wear out over time, but having said that, when I was selling computers back in the early 80s, I had a fibre-tip pen that I used all the time. It had a very similar look and feel to these, and that lasted for ages. Certainly several years. I'd expect these to be similar - so long as they're used by fountain pen owners, not by people used to pressing very hard with a ball-point pen.

Have you tried them with waterproof ink? Will they work the same?

I'm afraid not. I was too nervous, thinking that it would clog the capillaries, but I may do that with one of the 1.4 nibs before too long, just to see. I'll let you know if I do.

These pens are junk. Dry up in a few days. Had to buy a new nib after a week. Good pen stores even stopped selling them.

Sorry to hear that - the concept looked so good, but reliability is a great deal easier with a fountain pen.
Sorry to take so long to respond - ill health and deadlines!

I really would love to see your take on the Plotter notepads. They do not have a distributor in Europe yet but as these are owned by the same company as TN, you should be THE ONE to review these first ;-) Love your videos.

Noted! I hadn't heard of them, but I'll be delighted to try to get hold of one if possible.
