Phil, Shortly after a divorce and an increasingly rocky relationship with my daughter 7/8 year old daughter I bought Sushi Go. Very quicly this had a positive effect on our relationship. It not much of an exaggeration that it in no small part helped save it. We began to spend time together comfortably and in the nice glow of fun. I had been into games in the mid mid to late 1990's but this brought me back to the hobby and she tagged along. She is now even focused on game design as a potential career. So thank you!
These are consistently excellent discussions. Really appreciate this angle and organized insight as an archive on the internet, thank you Ben (and Phil).
Go you great little Aussie! Phil comes across as a very down to earth person, regardless of the stellar games he has designed. thank you Ben for bringing us that beautifully candid interview.
Extremely interesting interview! Also really really fantastic interviewing here - great insightful questions and several times he asked exactly what I was thinking. And NO interrupting! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love Phil Walker Harding games even MORE after watching this video. ❤️ My husband and grand grandkids and I play Silver and Gold. Introduced friends to Archeology and they loved it. Just purchased Summer Camp and Gizmos. Can’t wait to play them.
Thank you so much for this interview, this series is a great format. Budding designers really should watch, and help get insights on the steps taken by successful industry designers. Phil is always so humble and down to earth it is a pleasure to hear what he shares.
Thank you both for a really enjoyable interview! I am now left with the desire to try even more of Phil's games. Ben, this series has quickly become my favourite programme on The Dice Tower - it's so lovely to see the person behind the name on the box. Did the idea or motivation for it arise partly because of greatly increased videochat in the time of COVID-19, or was it something you had hoped/planned to do for a long time?
Hi Lisa, sorry I've taken so long to reply, i've just seen this. I've been doing an interview podcast for 5 years now and Tom felt he needed something similar on the channel and asked me if I wanted to do it. Which, of course, is a great opportunity and it allows me to get in a room(virtually) with some of the people I most admire in the industry. Thanks for watching!
I hope we get an expansion for Gizmos one day! Really like that and Imhotep, though I haven't played any other PWH games. Great to hear from him though. Definitely agree he will win Spiel Des Jahres one day.

PWH is a game design badass. Great to listen to this interview.
Wonderful interview with a wonderful designer; he's one of my favorites. My daughter and I regularly play Gingerbread House. Thank you!
Sushi go party is our favourite family board game!

Cacao is a chill classic!
Wish I could find it somewhere!

You should try Barenpark! That’s my favorite one of his designs! And Sushi Go is his best seller for a reason, though personally prefer Sushi Roll.
Really cool dudes!
