Why is everyone so completely wrong on this? Babymetal and Electric Callboy are not from different universes, theyre friggin *_Room mates._* They Occupie almost the exact same space in music, very heavy metal mixed with pop , rap and electronics. The only real difference is that one are men growling and the other is girls singing clean. If you removed the voice track, alot of their songs sound very similar. This collaboration actually started with Babymetal trying to make a song in the style of Electric Callboy, but it wasn't working, so they decided to ask EC to work with them on it. They met for the first time last November in Boston when Babymetal attended EC's show on their day off. They met backstage and started talking about a collab and this awesome song is the result. The demos went back and forth between EC and Babymetal about 20 times before they were all happy with it, and it wasn't finalized until the day of the video shoot. They've played it live together a few times both in Japan and in Europe and it has gone off every time. It's also been charting extremely well all over the world.
I sense the "elitist" is still there somewhere deep down. 😂 Brutally honest opinion? I don't over analyze it. If it's fun and catchy, I'm gonna love it. If it's not, then I move on to the next song. This one was fun. Period. It's on repeat. EC and BM are two sides of the same coin. The coin is metal at the core but with two different facets of fun pop/dance fusion. Heads or tails, either way you win. Now go listen to Headbanger.
I'm the same with people trying to determine what genre and if it's really metal. I don't care. There are only two genres for me, 1) I enjoy it and replay or 2) not interested. He's had issues with Babymetal in the past, he's not over it.
I'm surprised you heard the beat start about 3 seconds and declared a totally EC song ! Live the bit you did not like works so well, and the Kami band playing this it sounds great as well, maybe a bit heavier . Performed during both band's sets at some European festivals the girls on EC set and Nico and Kevin on BM and audience are loving it . Great 50 50 collaboration 😁 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
With 14,000,000 views in a month I think a lot of people love this. I had chills from the instant it started and still do-god knows how many views later- now. What you saw as an "energy drop" on the Japanese Karaoke section I personally loved. The contrast in levels and the like is one of the things Babymetal and Electric Callboy have brought to metal. Without that contrast I think you're kind of back in old world metal. Kevin and Nico have commented that this is a pure 50/50 collab. Kobametal brought the ladies to an EC show in Boston MA. They loved it. Afterwards they all met up backstage and the ultimate end product is this video. Both bands have now performed this onstage together at multiple festivals and it's always a crowd favorite. One of the things that comes across live is how much affection the two bands have for each other. And I think that comes across in the music. I love as much as anything getting to see Babymetal let their hair down-so to speak-and just have a great, silly time making this. FYI: the official live at FoxFest video of this gives a hint of how well it played for the first time in front of 20K fans.
Plus EC basically commonly does what he calls 'energy drop' in their songs, it is actually pretty good technique to add variation in pace within the songs. Which can highlight how intense other sections are, keep more peoples attention due to relatively frequent stylistic shifts within a song, but on practical level also help play longer concerts by part of band getting small breaks while there is a lighter vocal solo going on.
I saw them live at a Festival in Spain, the awesome Resurrection Fest, where they played it twice, and it was freaking awesome both times. The first one was BABYMETAL featuring EC and I decided to record that one... never had a video with so many views in such a short time! It's really incredible how addictive this song is! And Electric Callboy were incredible! In both cases, the audience play a super important role, and I love iberian audiences!
Electric Callboy are the most entertaining band in the world right now, not put out a bad song in last 3 years and live shows just a massive rave of metal & EDM riffs that fill audiences with a euphoria 😆🤘
In 1971 I bought my first heavy metal album. Black Sabbath Master of Reality. Metal head ever since. But I still listened to all kinds of music. BABYMETAL is the best thing since Queen came out.
Nothing is more "metal" than three tiny Japanese ladies showing vanilla metalheads screaming nonsense how to pull off amazing live performances in front of thousands of possibly hostile crowd who don't understand a thing you're saying.. for over a decade now (!!!). These ladies have more balls than 80% of metal front acts of the current metal scene..
"they came to me at a time I was looking for new music" is exactly how I found BABYMETAL. Looking back to the time I found BABYMETAL, I was going through some internal issues which I've never shared with anyone. The algorithm brought them to my line of sight and it was just so uplifting and completely changed my musical landscape and helped me past my mental hurdles. The first time I heard this song, I wasn't completely sold. It was so different from their earlier collaboration with F. Hero and Bodyslam, which I greatly enjoyed. The second time I heard RATATA, I really enjoyed it. The third time, I was hooked. Unlike you, the part that I really enjoyed in my first watch was the section you didn't like so much. I just liked that they were being less serious and having a lot of fun, while hanging out. It was definitely a change in tempo, but that's very much in line with both EC and BM musical style. Great reaction btw. Subscribed!
"Gatekeeping " has been more a feature than a bug in Heavy Metal fandom since at least when I first became a headbanger in the early 80's. Thankfully, I outgrew this and saw that it wasn't so much people not liking a band because it "wasn't really Metal" as much as defining it as not Metal because they didn't like it. Too see people this day and age STILL engaged in Gatekeeping is a bit frustrating, but mostly I pity them, because it's their own doors they are closing. As for me, Headbanger for life, If it makes me bang my head, it's good enough for me. Babymetal.. hell yes... also, if you ever see me banging my head to the Beastie Boys' Sabotage... don't interrupt me to tell me they aren't Metal...
You are right. Frustrating yes but the feeling of knowing they are not giving it a chance and missing out sometimes is pity. If I am moving I don't give two craps about what it is.
It might’ve seemed that way, but I promise he didn’t ruin it for me. I know we have to pause for RUclips, I just was not expecting it so right off the bat haha.
Interesting you say that these bands are really different :D I've been a fan of both of these bands for some time now and both bands do sometimes silly and fun songs and sometimes serious good songs, Both Bands love to experiment with the genre and push some boundries. I've waited for this collab for some time now and glad it finally happened :D Best collab ever.
Have no real Metal listening experience, but loved this as soon as I saw it. It was just so positive and gave such awesomely good vibes. Am forever grateful to the reactor community that keeps on expanding my musical experiences and tastes.
Good reaction ... you clearly haven't heard nearly enough BABYMETAL (especially the young lady). First time I heard this it was great, it works better because of the BABYMETAL parts (but all songs work better with BABYMETAL involved). If it was straight crash-bang all the way through it wouldn't merit repeated listenings, you need to slow or quieten it down so the 'RATATATA' makes even more of an impact ... it improves the song's dynamics many times over. This is a straight 50-50 collaboration. BABYMETAL were wanting to make a song in the Electric Callboy style, like 'We Got The Moves', that people could dance along to, but they felt something was missing. Both bands were playing in Boston, BABYMETAL had a day off and went to see Electric Callboy meeting them back stage and chatting before the show (and then staying to watch and enjoy the whole thing, which pleased Electric Callboy when they looked up to where they were sitting and seeing them there jamming out and having a great time) So BABYMETAL asked EC if they wanted to get involved ... and this was the result. A song in the EC style but with BABYMETAL's full involvement that people can sing and dance along with. There is an official live video from FOX_FEST in Tokyo, arranged, hosted and headlined by BABYMETAL. EC and Polyphia as well as Bilmuri and Metalverse supported by Asterism were all playing both days. During BABYMETAL's sets Nico and Kevin from EC joined them to perform this song together. Tim Henson and Scott LePage from Polyphia also joined BABYMETAL to perform 'Brand New Day' from BABYMETAL's 2019 album Metal Galaxy together for the first time as well ... another official live video was posted for that. EC and BABYMETAL have performed 'RATATATA' live together (in both their sets, so 6 times) at festivals in Germany and Spain as well as playing it in their own concerts and at festivals where the other band was not there.
Yeah, the guy's criticism that the Babymetal part was low energy was mind boggling. Since I saw the Pixies in concert recently, I'll use them as the prime example that the "Loud-Quiet-Loud" arrangement says otherwise to the whole low energy nonsense. Totally agree the "quiet" parts only adds more power to the "loud" parts. Would not have listened to this song as much as a I have if it was just pure screaming throughout the whole thing. It was also amusing the guy said that the song wouldn't work if the Kami band was playing...which the official Live Fox Fest version of the song utterly debunks. If anything, the live Kami band version hits even harder and is even more energetic (which is a given with the additional crowd energy). Wish that version of the song would also be released on the music streaming services. Looking forward to seeing Babymetal in concert for the first time later in the year, and hope to see Electric Callboy someday (missed out since they were recently in my area, and I only heard about them due to this song and now a fan)
Felt and tried to express the same feeling. One big reason this song is so damn catchy is the incredible contrasts in the sound. If this were just a straight unbroken screamfest all the way through...well lets just say it wouldn't be the delightful marvel that it is. Thank god we got this version!
I'm always surprised when people think this collaboration is strange and/or unexpected - I disagree that these two bands exist in different universes - they have much more in common than not when you really examine what each band does. From the very beginning of the announcement that there was a collaboration I thought that they would perfectly complement each other and, as you can see, this is totally the case. I also disagree that the energy falls off in this song at any point - it merely alternates periods of less aggressive parts with the more melodic portions. Electric Callboy does this on some of their tracks too, on their Tekkno release for example. This song is a perfect collab, and a perfect track for summer and for beach adjacent clubs. As for the title RATATATA, this also makes perfect sense if you recognize that this is an actual term used in music and in other areas. I'm guessing the meaning in this case is referring to the term's use in the musical world to refer to specific musical features in a song, such as rapid-fire drum riffs, explosive song features, or guitar note hits.
Perfect collaboration! They played it together at a few festivals in Europe and crowd gone always nuts! 🤘 Official youtube channel of Resurrection Fest a few hours ago uploaded a pro-shot of RATATATA with really great sound mix... it's definitely worth to check ;)
@@rolandkarlsson7072 I think the "differences" are more due to the fact that life always is different than studio, but well, if you hear it who am I to doubt? 😁🤘
@@bernhardkulzer9125 The drums are different, the guitars are different. Of course there are 2000% more ambience in the live, both on instruments and voices. So, that is a bigger difference. But anyhow. More metal drums and more metal guitars I think I can hear.
Both of them make fun metal and are not to be taken too seriously. Both mix metal with pop. The collab doesn't surprise me at all and sounds exactly like I would imagine it.
Before I listen the first time to this song, I was concerned that they would go in a direction which I would not like, like Fckboi, great song, but I am really not into Pop punk. I knew except their existence nothing about Baby Metal. But I liked the song pretty much after listening it the first time. I had my doubt about some details of the collaboration, but the sing itself I thought was great.
HUH... you say you were an elitist on metal. Then you should know just how strict Baby Metal was. Just so see them actually having fun with this collab... SMH. I dont understand where your head is brother. Oh, and for you info, that WAS MOMO assisting with the growl/shout at the end.
Thanks for the great reaction! Lovely collaboration! EC&BM has created a wonderful song! I can't get the words RATATATA and BUN BUN BUN Fu〜♪ Fu〜♪ out of my head!🐭🦊🐹
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛. BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 18 concerts at 15 venues. I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (then group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!) ★ You can find the official LIVE video in RUclips !! (Just FYI, BABYMETAL also played "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA in the festival. That was beautiful and soothing. You can find a video of the live performance in YT.)
Good one, the song was originally Babymetal's song, and they wanted a collab with EC, resulting in a true 50/50 collab. Babymetal tend to lean into the collaborating artist's styles in all their collabs. Did you notice the second "ARE YOU READY?!?!?", hint, it wasn't Kevin who did that growl 😉. And yeah, this song has been a big hit for both bands. almost 13.9M views in 6 weeks, insane! lol. 🤘🦊
Babymetal influence would be to much metal?? Have you listened to Babymetal much? You think the Babymetal part slowed it down to much, but in the really slow part (with the big mirror ball), you said this is so good. Make up your mind.
He doesn’t need to make up his mind, it’s fine. You can like softer parts of a song, it can depend on so many things like the placement/timing of it for example.
It's funny everyone is surprised by this collab. if you really look at it though, they are 2 sides of the same coin. They both make metal fun. EC does it with their fun videos and edm dance metal. BM does it with their jpop/kawaii/everything fusion metal. You can use a lot of words to describe metal, but it's with these 2 groups can you really use Fun. 😁😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
chicken vs goose Being a medical guy, I might opt for a medical physio-descriptive thing, but that tends to get deleted by the scientifically-challenged. I mean, does this sound better? "A mass activation of erector pili muscles" No? oh well... hey, it just happens. First reaction for me was just all out "Theme for the Summer of 2024" I'm one who appreciates the lower-intensity interludes as the shift back to heavier content hits harder after the calm. Calm-before-the-Storm >> Storm-Storm-Storm, for me. As a player, as a DMD, as an engineer ... "Dynamic" not only describes the absolute energy in a piece, but it is also the Range of energies, and the dV/dT if you will... the rate of change and the acceleration into the next section. It's like "this is why we have bridges". ymmv Glad you liked the song. So do the rest of us. "At least, the ones that matter", lol.
My most favorite song from Babymetal is the rendition of No rain, No rainbow in Hiroshima from the legend - S - Baptism XX in 2017 . SueMetal is from Hiroshima and she is almost in tears at the end of that balad rendition. Better than all the other version because of her emotion state in that particular song, location and time.
🪩 ❤❤ 🦊 🔌 BABYMETAL had Kevin and Nico join them (and their Kami Band) at FOX_FEST for the live premiere of this song on May 25th & 26th, 2024. Your worries were completely unfounded. It was a little heavier, but it sounded great. There's an official live video on BABYMETAL's RUclips Channel.
You know what this video reminds of? Back in the 80s all lil known band called "Aerosmith" did a collaboration/ crossover video with a lil known rap group called "Run DMC" and the song walk this way. Anyone think that?🤔🎼🤘🌹
When I had discovered both BM & EC, I thought it would be fun if they did something together. They're both in the "we do weird & wonderful things with metal" space. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that it would actually happen. A collision of worlds 14 years in the making. If you check out the official live version, you'll get the Kami Band version.
This song introduced me to electric callboy, I've been a baby metal fan for a while now. Now I'm a fan of both. But this song is played 2 or 3 times daily since its release, mainly because it is my 1 year old favorite song, and she will ask for "boom.boom.boom" bc she can't say ratatatata. Also, I would like to add this song lead to my wife finding her new favorite song, electric callboy's cover of everytime we touch.
Actually the song was originally done by Babymetal in the stile of BC but it needed he real thing. But I say the end product it’s 50 /50. The board meeting explosion came from the creative arguments between the BM team and CB that is why is in the video. Also he second “Are you ready” growl is Momometal doing it. A 5 ft tall 90 lbs girl can growl like that is impressive.
This is as they described it, a 50-50 Collab. It is a BM song though, and is featured on their RUclips page. There is also a foxfest video of the live performance put out by BM. Momometal is also doing some of the growls. The second "Are you ready" for sure.
The thing I HATE about metal elitists is that they don't understand the first thing about metal, no matter how much they profess to being a "metal-head." It's all about expanding horizons, and going against the grain. As someone that has seen BABYMETAL twice (and also seen probably 50+ metal bands, from Metallica to every band big or small), they EASILY rocked the hardest. TWICE. Electric Callboy might be the closest to that or then some easily (just haven't had the pleasure yet) but NO...the energy certainly doesn't fall off during their segment. Appreciate you being open-minded, but I feel you have a ways to go in that department. But hey, love the reaction, and keep at it! You'll get there.
"Ratatata" is basically the result, when Germans mimic the sound of a machine gun. Of course, it is also used for many other sounds, that have a machine gun like character, like everywhere in daily life, including in music.
When they released the teaser I listened to it ten times at least. Then when they released the full song on streaming audio I listened to that at least ten times that day. I loved this song right from the start.
"they are from different universes" says only someone who never listened to babymetal. Their big international break through was a party metal song (Pa Pa Ya).
I absolutely loved it from first listen Expecially seeing the girls with catears and having so much fun!! There is a Babymetal song you haven't reacted to, called "Iine", that would have made you think that BM and EC are actually closer than what you thought. Kobametal, BM producer, even said that more than 10 years ago he also used EC as an inspiration for that song 😄
This is a little poppy for Babymetal. Babymetal has a diverse catalogue so it depends on what song you compare it to, but in general this is a lighter side of them. Sounded good.
I would agree I couldn't compare it to anything off of the other one Album maybe papaya or gimme chocolate comes to mind quickly but like I said this song is a classic EC sound. I dig it
My thought when I first saw this is Babymetal could earn a living guesting on others songs adding a big chorus. The song is a straight out 50/50 collab, neither group dominates. And I think the drop off in energy in the second verse is intentional, to give the audience a moment to breathe and process what is going on. I disagree with you, I think it's quite smart.
You can absolutely disagree. I don’t think he thought it was a bad move, he just prefers heavy so he was getting into it and that drop just lost a little momentum for him I think.
9:05 - This part in Japanese was placed for Japanese fans of Babymetal ) It looks like the 'girls on the karaoke party' (before Electric Callboys crash in )))
Welcome back to the Foxhole guys, it's been a while.🦊🤘🔥 This single reached Number 1 best selling single in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands! If you see comments talking about how cool was one of the singers turning around at the end, that's a reference to a video reaction they did last week. But the one who really looks cool are oc the ladies striking a pose near the end which is also the pose they used when performing live right from the beginning.💃 Last weekend of May they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab of the year and hit of this summer. They also released the official live if you don't wanna stop and keep pushing it to the limit. They also played together once again at Rock Im Park in Germany twice, one during EC show and the other one during BM show wearing cool new outfits. After that they played again at Rock Am Ring and we already got cool proshot clips. A week ago they finished the Europe Tour and once again with both groups playing this song twice at Resurrection Fest in Spain making everyone going wild. Polyphia were also at FOX_FEST playing a set and the guitarists Tim Henson and Scott Le Page played together with BM the song Brand New Day, they're special guest in the album version, they were looking for this since a very long time ago and also fans waited for this. We already got an official live MV released recently if you wanna check that out. Next suggestion to enjoy another super collab they did prior to this: - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV. BM recently announced they will be at Knotfest Brazil for the first time in South America, The One is getting crazy with this news. Hope to see you around with more BM songs. See you next time 🦊🤘🐭
Great reaction! They performed this song live for the first time, a couple days after it's release, at BABYMETAL's music festival, Fox_Fest, back in May. It was at that festival that they filmed the amazing LIVE music video for this song. Fox_Fest is a 2 day music festival held by BABYMETAL. They invited Electric Callboy, Polyphia (they performed with BABYMETAL too since they are featured on a song from 2019 album), BILMURI, and Metalverse w/ Asterism band to perform. All 5 groups perform on each day for 30,000 people.🤘🦊🤘
With this opinion the way to Babymetal is ridiculous hard. And in the song Babymetal gave Electric Callboy some free hand, but in Reality Babymetal had more .material for this song. Something like Karaoke doesn't exist in Germany, but this an essential part of the japanese Scene. So they had to take more control of the song. And as even Nico remarked just hours after the release of this video. The Song had already broken the best placement of every Electric Callboy or Babymetal Song ever. And they already knew fro. Their Stage tryouts that this song worked on Stage.
What? The energy fell off with Babymetal? Ive watched a thousand reactions of this song and youre the first person to say anything like that lol Babymetal is amazing in this. So damn catchy and fun. This was a PERFECT collaboration so i def disagree with you
It’s basic song construction. They established Electric Callboy, brought in Babymetal, dropped the energy a little for Su’s verse, and raised the energy again by bringing EC back in. The pace keeps going for the verse, but they had to clear out EC because that verse demanded clarity.
@@jhorse6968 He later explained what he meant by that and it's literally what I said... His thought process is not hard to discern: heavy music is usually perceived as more lively/passionate/energetic. The verse he didn't like leaned more into electronic elements and less metal, therefore "less energetic" (in his own words). He even explains that in other verses the instrumentation behind Su-metal's vocals got quite heavy and gave him goosebumps. Do people even bother trying to understand others' opinions anymore?
Nice reaction! The chorus of "Bu chi a ga re" (ブチアガレ meaning "Everyone get excited!") that MOA and MOMO are singing in the chorus is slang used by young Japanese. And "A ge" (アゲ) is also slang, meaning "lit". Your reaction is アゲ!
Its usually goose bumps or chicken skin. I absolutely loved the song the first time i heard it. Then the official live video dropped. Loved it even more and they have done this song in Europe about 10 times and it was fantastic.
14:37 I found the song through WWE as they are using it for an event later this month in Germany. Never heard of either band, but on the first listen I had the very same opinion that you did on the Babymetal verse. That's nothing against them, I don't usually listen to songs if I don't know what they're saying, but I think it will definitely grow on you like it has for me. At this point, I am completely fine with it and I hope that they collab more in the future. Now that I've found them, I'm going to explore more of their discography. I'm an avid rock and synthpop listener, so to find a new genre in electronicore that sort of blends them together is truly wonderful to know that it exists.
Hmm, not sure about the "quiet bit" being an issue - EC songs all tend to have three sections, slow clean vocals with Nico, insane hardcore screamo and riffs with Kevin then somewhere in between with all of them.
It’s not an issue. He just prefers heavy metal, and the heavier the better. So when that “quieter bit” happened, it just made the song lost a little momentum for him. Nothing wrong with it, just different taste and preferences.
Hi, Steven! Hi, Queen! Nice to meet y'all! BABYMETAL has been my favorite band for about 12~ish years now! We are Kitsune, Children of Inari! Have fun tumbling down the Foxhole.
The part with just baby metal is more like a reverse drop... It was like starting on the Autobahn, getting off, and then jumping onto a Japanese Bullet Train... and never letting go of that gas pedal.
Babymetal has been doing a lot of collaborations actually. You might find "The End" (Lil Uzi Vert + Babymetal), "Kingslayer" (Bring Me The Horizon + Babymetal), or even "Oh! Majinai" (Babymetal + Joakim Broden of Sabaton) interesting if you haven't heard them before. First time viewer, enjoyed your video :)
5:07 - 5:14 is the space where the heavy guitars you were referring too dropped. At 5:14 the guitars came back in and you commented at 5:18 "listen to how heavy that is!" Would 5:14 sound quite as heavy if it weren't for the 7 second drop?
It was more of a flow and tempo drop off that kind of taken it out for me. We got back into the next chorus when I made the comment but even at that point I was still reeling as to why they dropped off for even 7 seconds. It's not bad I've listened to the song a few more times since this reaction but the intro and lead up to the chorus was epic so much so we played it twice but that verse was like a train derailed for me lol idk and turns out the rest of the song had a lot of waves in it between heavy and soft so it is what it is.
My daughter aked me where this ladies are from. I told her from japan, that is far in the east. Now she said she would wish to be also japanes because she wants to be beautiful as they are and my heart is breaking
That's awesome! I didn't hate it but I had my reservations just because it was such an awesome liftoff into the chorus! It's a great song glad you love it!
I showed this to my boss (who's from Germany, originally). Her response (and I still haven't had a chance to ask her to clarify) was, _"'RATATATA'?_ Yeah, that's definitely a German song title." 😂😂😂
Blumming what?🤔🙄 I've been more than a metal head since the 70's!!! But I'm also big into indie bands, rockabilly, 50's, 60's, and since the 90's were crap i massively got into the rave scene and techno and house. Still am. And when i first heard both baby and callboy, massive fan 😎 I've watched a lot of Babymetal's live sets on RUclips, and they are amazing live. Looked into the musicians in the band also, and there total hardcore 🤘😎🤘 Up the Irons and 😝🤣
Well, with over thousand people probably writing comments I don`t know if you`ll even read that but - I`d recommend Velja with "Rigor Mortis", an Ukrainian band and Seas on the Moon with "Sanctuary" or "Bad Omen" from Moldova featuring Lena Scissorhands actually from Infected Rain. Won`t regret it! 😁🤘

i was so confused by that take as well, not sure how they would be in "different universes".
Momo-Metal doesn’t just sing clean. Some of harsh vocals in this song isn’t Kevin, it’s Momo.
... and they were *roommates*
I crash through walls, I get arrested and have to pay restitution. EC crashes through walls, they find Babymetal. What the hell.
😂😂 life’s just not fuckin fair, man.
Shit ain't right bro
Now normally, at least if its a European wall, like in Germany, then you will only bounce back if you try to crash through it.

@@AliceDamnation Ratatata is one of the few times I think I've heard the word addictive used in a completely positive context!
Electric Callboy are the most entertaining band in the world right now, not put out a bad song in last 3 years and live shows just a massive rave of metal & EDM riffs that fill audiences with a euphoria 😆🤘
They’re honestly so much fun
Your comment should be pinned at the top here (and many more comment sections) 💯
Preach!
Yea why can’t those pricks be more opened minded
Energy dropped off? lol not even a little bit. That’s my favorite part of the whole song.
He totally ruined her experience. Paused just when she enjoyed the most at the first babymetal part.
It was honestly spectacular
Both bands were playing in Boston, BABYMETAL had a day off and went to see Electric Callboy meeting them back stage and chatting before the show (and then staying to watch and enjoy the whole thing, which pleased Electric Callboy when they looked up to where they were sitting and seeing them there jamming out and having a great time)
So BABYMETAL asked EC if they wanted to get involved ... and this was the result.
@@Greydt Exactly - and enjoy the concert (I know you will, they never fail to deliver).🦊
Official youtube channel of Resurrection Fest a few hours ago uploaded a pro-shot of RATATATA with really great sound mix... it's definitely worth to check ;)
Fun fact: In the official live version it`s the Kami band playing and you can`t tell the difference!!! 🤣🤣🤣
You can tell the difference, but it does not matter. Both kills it.
@@rolandkarlsson7072 Well, Ok.🤗
The most classic-style metal from Babymetal it's in their Metal Resistance - Red Night & Black Night
Both of them make fun metal and are not to be taken too seriously. Both mix metal with pop. The collab doesn't surprise me at all and sounds exactly like I would imagine it.
Man, the screams from Momoko get me every damned time. 🥰
On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (then group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!)
★ You can find the official LIVE video in RUclips !!
(Just FYI, BABYMETAL also played "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA in the festival. That was beautiful and soothing. You can find a video of the live performance in YT.)
Very cool! I'm always so envies of people who get to see babymetal live! Their shows are so crazy!
And yeah, this song has been a big hit for both bands. almost 13.9M views in 6 weeks, insane! lol.
🤘🦊
The best collab of the year🦊⚡⚡
Watch the live version, the energy is a lot higher during the girl's verse.

I mean, does this sound better? "A mass activation of erector pili muscles"
No?
oh well... hey, it just happens.
First reaction for me was just all out "Theme for the Summer of 2024"
I'm one who appreciates the lower-intensity interludes as the shift back to heavier content hits harder after the calm.

Glad you liked the song.
So do the rest of us.
"At least, the ones that matter", lol.
😂 thoroughly enjoyed your comments.
🪩 ❤❤ 🦊 🔌
BABYMETAL had Kevin and Nico join them (and their Kami Band) at FOX_FEST for the live premiere of this song on May 25th & 26th, 2024.
Love that! Thanks for sharing!
That way Kevin turned around though at the end part… Amazing
Das was Geil!!!
this song grows on you, first time i was like meh, now i've heard it like 50 times
I definitely like it more the more I hear it!
When they released the teaser I listened to it ten times at least. Then when they released the full song on streaming audio I listened to that at least ten times that day. I loved this song right from the start.
That's awesome man!
"they are from different universes" says only someone who never listened to babymetal. Their big international break through was a party metal song (Pa Pa Ya).
I absolutely loved it from first listen
Expecially seeing the girls with catears and having so much fun!!
There is a Babymetal song you haven't reacted to, called "Iine", that would have made you think that BM and EC are actually closer than what you thought.
Kobametal, BM producer, even said that more than 10 years ago he also used EC as an inspiration for that song 😄
Its was a babymetal song, see interview Rock am Ring, but EC have their parts also, so perfect colab..
When I first heard it, I was like, this is a straight banger. It's a collab I didn't know I needed.
I recommend you reacting to Henry Moodie his music is amazing
👍👍Awesome performance by 2 amazing bands. Su's shot in the famous John Travolta’s 'Saturday Night Fever' pose was cool. Great reaction. 🦊 🖖❤
Babymetal - sis anger deserves a reaction too……
This is a little poppy for Babymetal.
9:05 - This part in Japanese was placed for Japanese fans of Babymetal )
It looks like the 'girls on the karaoke party' (before Electric Callboys crash in )))
The moment you see them in the mirror ball helmets you know they are either German or Dutch.
Welcome back to the Foxhole guys, it's been a while.🦊🤘🔥
This single reached Number 1 best selling single in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands!
If you see comments talking about how cool was one of the singers turning around at the end, that's a reference to a video reaction they did last week. But the one who really looks cool are oc the ladies striking a pose near the end which is also the pose they used when performing live right from the beginning.💃
Last weekend of May they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab of the year and hit of this summer.
Next suggestion to enjoy another super collab they did prior to this:
- F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV.
All 5 groups perform on each day for 30,000 people.🤘🦊🤘
In Germany we call them Goose bumbs, Chicken skin or Duck skin, so call them how you want, as long as you are confi with it
Love that, thank you!!
How about that turn from Kevin in the end....like James Bond

What? The energy fell off with Babymetal? Ive watched a thousand reactions of this song and youre the first person to say anything like that lol Babymetal is amazing in this. So damn catchy and fun. This was a PERFECT collaboration so i def disagree with you
He just didn't like the change in the instrumental/music for that specific part
@i.shuuya3231 yea he said the energy dropped off. No other reaction I've seen thought this. It's a perfect song and collab.
My goosebumps got smaller when Babymetal’s part came up👊🏽⚡️🤘🏾🦊
Nice reaction!
The chorus of "Bu chi a ga re" (ブチアガレ meaning "Everyone get excited!") that MOA and MOMO are singing in the chorus is slang used by young Japanese. And "A ge" (アゲ) is also slang, meaning "lit".

Its usually goose bumps or chicken skin. I absolutely loved the song the first time i heard it. Then the official live video dropped. Loved it even more and they have done this song in Europe about 10 times and it was fantastic.

I found the song through WWE as they are using it for an event later this month in Germany.
Have a nice week 🇧🇷😘🧒🏼👦🇺🇲
You too! ♥️
She would prob live some of their softer songs like Life or Odyssee!

EVERYBODY!!! WE'RE OUT OF CONTROL!
