Great video Olie ! Tle modular serie is such an exemple of evolution within LEGO sets design : from 2007 to 2012 they are "bricky" with many classic bricks, then from 2013 to 2017 there is a lot of detail added. Finaly since 2018 the minifigures have various faces (the classic version had charms too). My favourite is the 2008 modular by heart but all of them are great :) !
Hi Olie ! Greetings from Portugal 🙂 After years resisting to modulars (due to cost....) I finally was able to get my first amazing modular ! I choose Assembly Square since I believe this will be the next one to retire and Its amazing....I believe the next choice should be the Bookstore (I really love that one) and of course I thin it will be also retiring very soon.... In resume I will try to recover the ones that are still available on Lego (since parallel market has an absurd cost that unfortunately I cannot afford....) I am loving the Assembly Square building experience ! I now regret not started earlier of course.....there is 2 or 3 from the old ones that I really like...but ok there are still amazing options still available ! Just discovered your channel and really liked it ! Thanks !!! keep moving with your project !
Hello from cold Canada. I think you have the right idea here. I believe Assembly Square is retiring at the end of this year. It is such a fun build experience. The thing I like about Book Shop is that it has the two separate buildings, so you can display it any way you want.
I have them all. Been collecting them since I was... gosh, 10-11 years old? These buildings are a very important part of my Lego collection. The modulars and Winter Village sets are the only sets I collect nowadays.
I really love the American styled Diner and cornergarage. I've build a narrowed and mirrored version of the diner, so they fit next to each other in the display cabinet 😁
I sincerely wish Lego would re-create some sort of Corner Grocery store modular. Many of us did not start building modulars until long after the original Green Grocer was discontinued.
why do u like assembly square so much? i choose modular for the feels they give me. boutique hotel reminds me of my travels. and i love movies so i enjoy palace cinema. i just wondering if i shld get assembly square as everyone raving about it
@@Defender888888 i really Like to build varied technics and rooms. In this case assembly square is the best you can get. Maybe Ninjago City Sets, too. If we're talkin bout modular building series, then all of the Models remind me of Something i saw here in Europe. All fassades Look great. Im a musician, so i will Like the Jazz Club , too 😜 and i like the green grocier cus of the colour. Finally, i Like Most of them, but had to decide 😉✌️
@davidleon2910 great question! Creator Expert/Modulars is what got me back into the hobby. Originally I was a huge fan of Castle and Pirates, but some of my favourite sets are the Ninjago City/Docks/Gardens etc

Inventory/stock issues obviously, but yeah, some of these are so class.
