These aussie fords are so cool too bad they didn't build these in the USA. They had the simulated chrome reverse wheel covers that were a option on Ford products in the sixties in the us.

The USA has so many more cool cars that we didn't get. There are quite a few performance parts that where sourced from the USA for our muscle cars here.

Love all cars all the time . These falcon are very cool. Do you know why the 4 doors are so common in Australia ?

In Australia Falcon 2 door coupes are highly sought after.
Early Falcons (1964-1966 XM & XP) where produced in as coupes. Then unfortunately Falcon coupes where dropped in late 1966 and did not return until 1972.
With the introduction of the XA Falcon they then continued though XB, XC, range until 1979 when they disappeared again forever.

Jim Hammond thank you for the information. Here in the US two doors are prized by hot Rodgers. Thankfully there are plenty.

The reason why the four door falcons are so common in Australia is that Ford Australia raced and bred these cars for a special race at Bathurst. I don't know why they chose to go with a four door, but they did, So everything they did on these cars was for the sole purpose of winning this race. They were so successful that they received cult status down here and were tagged "king of the road", so naturally everyone wanted one but the genuine Gt's were out of reach for most rev-heads so a lot of guys started replicating the paint work and trim to be just like their more expensive brothers

Who doesn't like a 2 door muscle car?

Jim Hammond several say the Aussie 4 door muscle cars such as XY are the best Musclers. Pretty laughable. I like Aussie muscle too and own an XA GT as well as a 1970 Chevelle however there’s no comparison. Must be two door.
