Kayak Fishing Central California Halibut & Lingcod with Plastic Lures Cambria Leffingwell Landing

In this video from Thanksgiving Eve, November 24th 2021 I go Kayak Fishing in Central California Cambria Leffingwell Landing and end up catching a nice Halibut and Lingcod using my trusty Candy Bar SDcrimpz Plastic Lure. I made the drive up from San Diego with my Ocean Kayak Trident 15 paddle kayak and flew my DJI Mavic Mini drone before prepping my gear and launching out for a beautiful day on the water. At about 10am as my Penfathom Star drag reel with 60lb braided line and a 4oz leaded with 4" white Candy Bar Scrimpz plastic lure was sitting in my right rear rod holder it went bends and I managed to land a nice 31" 13lb halibut without a gaff after it hopped out of my lap and back into the water before securing it with my game clip. I didn't get another bite till later in the afternoon I headed toward Cambria Rock and after switching to a red and yellow double grub tail plastic I got hit on the retrieve wind up and pulled up a 24" long 6lb lingcod. Got him in the net and secured before landing to an epic sunset. Some Ragged Point Big Sure Drone Shots to with fillet time lapse to close out the video for your viewing pleasure.
