We were with her when she made it... she never heated anything up. We had some later, no one got sick... but we do see your point. Raw eggs aren’t safe to eat if they’re unpasteurized. That means they could contain harmful bacteria. Pasteurized raw eggs have been slightly heated to kill bacteria, even though sold as raw.
Thanks for this recipe. Testing it out today. Everything is in the fridge overnight at the moment. I can't wait!
We didn't make the recipe ourselves, but we can attest to how the results tasted... very yummy!
How much sugar do you think she used?
I also noticed you didn't cook the custard. How does this differ from cooking ?
Thankyou. Gary
Such a big kitchen with tons of stuff but no lemon squeezer?
Do you heat the custard cause it has eggs
I see you are using whole eggs. What does using whole eggs differ from using just egg yolks ?
Where can i find the recipe with the ingredient amounts?
Using eggs without tempering ?
2 eggs, 1 cup whole milk, 1/3 cup lemon juice, 3 Tablespoons lemon zest, a pinch of salt, 2 cups heavy cream and how much sugar?
The recipe does say 3/4 cup....
Do you need to heat up cause it has eggs she doesn’t say does she have the recipe somewhere?
