I suck air out with a straw...close the bag almost all the way, suck in (straw reaching near the bottom of the bag) then quickly pull it out and close the very small opening
For oranges you'll want to make sure to remove the peels before putting them into the freezer-safe bags or containers. Also, as when eating oranges normally, keep an eye out for seeds. Good luck! For more information you can visit Michigan Fresh on the MSU Extension website: msue.anr.msu.edu/program/info/mi_fresh (there is a great "Ask an Expert" tool that will get you an email response for any of your produce-related questions).
thank you for clear simple and very helpful info.

Hi, why do we need a freezer bag to put our fruits? Why can't we put the fruits into a bowl and to the freezer?
Thanks! whats the technique for freezing whole oranges or citrus in general please?
