He certainly showed it in this interview. As a USC fan and alum, I actually thought very highly of him. Followed his work as Terry Donohue's assistant, his coaching at Colorado and Washington. I later worked with one if his players from Colorado. This guy really liked playing for him. I thought his firing at UW was totally unfair.
I was really disappointed in his behavior towards the end of the 2009 USC vs UCLA game. He called a time-out during 'take a knee' time to spite Pete Carroll and the Trojans. What followed got his Bruins off the sidelines wanting to fight the Trojans. It was all Neuheisal's instigating that, but hey, we're all human and prone to lapses in judgement.
He sounded like his old likeable self in this interview. His stories about Coach O made me chuckle.

He had literally no offensive threat last season that was capable of being a huge mismatch for a D and that is the basis of his type of offense. Exploiting mismatches and getting his playmakers open and able to make plays….
I mean just for example look what Terrace Marshall has done already with very limited playing time. Marshall came in already knowing Brady’s offense. And Panthers finally picked up a slot receiver they could rely on. Marshall has been slept on and under valued his entire football career, even at LSU, yet he consistently showed up and showed out and proved he was reliable and capable of making big plays. Having already spent a season with Marshall, Joe Brady is well aware of his talent and potential and he is exploiting that. Using his personal, insider knowledge of Marshall’s talent, and with opposing D coordinators sleeping on him; Joe Brady has given fans a preview (a limited preview albeit) of what he has planned this season for Marshall, and so far; we have seen that there is the very real and high possibility that Terrace Marshall will put up some big numbers this season and be a HUGE factor in Carolina’s offensive production.

You do know that they didn’t lose a single game by more than 7? That’s with Brady having a brand new QB and no off-season etc to practice/implement his scheme. Brady also didn’t have McCaffrey, who is an essential aspect of any offense; but even more so of a Brady offense. Just take a look at how often Clyde Edward’s was targeted or the main aspect of a play design in 2019. A versatile RB is critical for Brady’s type of scheme.
Also you have to remember that this was his first year which is hard enough by itself but you gotta add in the covid challenges and hurdles on top of all that for him as well.

UCLA is fucking terrible. If LSU struggles against that crap team then there is something wrong because the talent difference is huge.
We hear this crap “team x is better than you think” about damn near every team LSU plays. I don’t care if LSU plays UCLA in gay ass LA, in Tiger Stadium, or in the median on I-10, LSU should beat the crap out of UCLA.
UCLA’s last 3 recruiting classes were ranked:
    2019-#40

    2021-#31
LSU’s last 3 recruiting classes were ranked:
    2019-#5
    2020-#4
    2021-#3
IfLSU is paying our staff at Top 3 or so level, paying 8 million per year to our head coach, and recruits at top 3-5 level every year we should expect to go to LA and beat UCLA easily. Period.

    • @f430ferrari5
      @f430ferrari5 3 года назад

Dude. I think you’re proven what a dummy you are pertaining to college football.
Year in and year out it clearly shows there is no correlation between recruitment and results.
Rick Neuheisel is a perfect example of a dumb coach also who never figured out that once you sealed the deal on a 5 star recruits then you still have to develop that player and players.
Alabama isn’t consistently good because of recruiting from a talent level aspect. Bama is good because they know how to develop their players.
While Chip Kelly’s teams have struggled over the past years there has been considerable improvement and development.
Look at the two deep roster for UCLA. It’s filled with seniors. The entire starting defense has seniors and some are 6 year guys.
Kelly stuck with DTR a 4th year QB. Rick N would have tossed somebody like him aside. What this means is that Rick N had a terrible habit of starting unproven true freshmen only to see this player struggle for 2-3 years then RN bails on them because his staff couldn’t develop them.
UCLA had a terrible athletic director in the past also and he would have fired Chip Kelly last year because all he did was look at the win loss record.
The real test for Kelly is next year. They potentially lose many seniors. Behind the 2 deep there is still not that much depth.
Just like for Orgeron the team had many upperclassmen in its better years. This is how the cycle normally works.
Nick Saban is the master at managing his depth chart. He even gets away with going with some true frosh at times but other positions are always loaded with upper class men.

He never called plays either at “this high of a level” before; but somehow he managed to do just fine! More than fine actually; I should’ve said historic. First time ever calling plays and he puts up record breaking numbers and will be a name not soon forgotten in LSU, scratch that; College Football, history….

Dude you cant even get the numbers right so how do you expect anyone to take seriously anything your dumbass has to say. First of all Orgeron's career record is 61-41, that is a average of .672 that is with a 10-25 record at Ole Miss who has only had 1 10 win and 2 9 win season in 34 years before him and only 1 10 win and 2 9 win seasons since then. The 1 10 win season came under Hugh Freeze who was paying recruits, so take him out of the equation they have only had 2 winning season since Orgeron was there. He has a 45-14 record at LSU even after the 5-5 debacle of last year after losing 21 starters, the Offensive and defensive coordinator. Also Implementing a new defense and quarterback, starting 11 true freshmen while not having Spring training and very limited fall camp. In fact he has not had a loosing season since leaving Ole Miss, he is 51-16 to be exact. He registered a 6-2 record at USC after taking over for Kiffin and the same after taking over for Myles in 16. He went 9-4 in 17 with Danny Etling as QB and Darius Guice as the only offensive threat and was hampered by injuries. In 2018 he registered a 9-3 season and Fiesta bowl win with a Quarterback that showed up 2 weeks before the season and winning the bowl game after the whole defensive secondary bowed out. The only year that he has had a legitimate experienced QB and complete offense he registered arguably the greatest college season ever. So if your gonna talk snack at least know what the hell you are talking about. I'm gonna save this thread specifically so I can visit it each week and remind you just how clueless you truly are.

And even if I had no clue of him or wasn’t a fan, you’re bitterness and obvious jealousy of him, shows me more so that he is good rather than your intent of trying to show why he’s bad. The only way a coach can get under your skin and make someone so envious and jealous of him is because of his success. People like you only become “haters” when a person is successful. Nobody writes long novel length RUclips comments about a coach that is irrelevant or trash…
