This should be a Ted Talk!! That’s why I’ve been a fan for almost 20(!) years! You have a gift for staying true to you and an even bigger gift of encouraging others to tell their story…their authentic story. Thank you, Ali! 🥰
Lol I keep exclaiming “YES” every minute of this video! This is such a good reminder for our community to be ourselves and do what feels good right now. (+ not be afraid to try new things if the time feels right.) Thank you for this video Ali! So much love for this message!
Thank you for putting out into the world this message! Very helpful and needed for I’m sure so many of us creators who don’t necessarily feel that we’re naturally creative. Thankful this series and your inspiration!
YES, about traveler's notebooks. I've loved the look and the format, but couldn't really get into them with any consistency--until this year. Now, as we travel, I'm carrying around the HP Sprocket and my notebook and loving it. Everything in it's time, right?!? ALSO, totally dig your tips--so good. Thanks Ali!
You, my friend, are totally inspiring. Telling stories about my late son have been the hardest stories to tell. But it has also been very cathartic. Thank you Ali. For just being you.
This is so great! Its a perfect reminder to do what works for you and stop worrying about everyone else. Its easy to get caught up in the pressure to be perfect.
Yes I agree with a commenter I took lots of notes and have been away as I needed to unplug the world for a bit. I’m back and I appreciate you and giving us your insight and creativity!!! Always welcomed always 🙏🏽
YES! This was SO GOOD, Ali! This was such a great reminder too that comparison happens in so many other areas of our lives too. I love your approach, your thoughts and ideas! Thanks for putting this message out into the world!
I agree that our season of storytelling evolve. I used to have all the time in the world to do traditional 12x12 scrapbooking and now has a mom w a three year old it’s become less and less. So a smaller format like TN or Heidi swaps chapters is the format that works for me now. But I still make the time to document my life stories.
Absolutely loved this advice. I’ve been gathering info and products and writing like a mad woman these past view months. But have not started any projects. Maybe a little too much of the comparison game of it not being good enough. This was the kick in the butt I needed. Xo❤️xo❤️
So enjoy your “pep talks”! I’ve been doing a lot of inspiration gathering - not to mention supply gathering (can you say stamp stash?!😉🤣) over the last couple of months. All the while I have been writing down the stories I want to tell, whether it be my own or a family members’ - both through my eyes and their own. Now it’s time to get to the creative work I so enjoy!😊
So true Ali. Thank you so much for your thoughts. I always feel like other people have “better” photos than me. Also such great words as we head into the summer and holiday weekend and as people are posting photos of weekend plans.
Years and years ago, my father told me, “Comparisons are odious.” I thought that meant they were smelly! I always wondered what they smelled like. Sour, like an old dried up piece of cheese? Musty, like a room that needs airing? Whatever the word is that best describes unwashed sport socks? What do you think? 😳

Awesome Ali YES to owning your own story
A great piece of advice I've been given is "Don't compare your beginning to someone else's ending."
Yes! I love that too.
Thank you for this. I wrote down lot of notes for point #1 and the rest were all very helpful too! 😊
