Just as she is "in a class by herself", so are your "Reaction Videos". SO-o-o many others that appear on RUclips are nothing more (in MY opinion) than inane, gratuitous comments and "reactions" to the video which they show, intended to draw viewers to their "channel".
Yours show a sincere Love for Sissel, and the same qualities that have helped HER to succeed -- Talent and HARD WORK !!

I completely agree with you, she is not only the greatest singer, but she also has a humble, gentle approach to her occupation, I do think it is her deep Scandinavian-Norwegian heritage that she is caring with her. I completely agree with you, she is the greatest singer.

You are right-on about her Norwegian heritage and how they approach life and others. It's just one of the reasons she is so different than American "Super Stars." In recent years I've become so ashamed of my country. I pray the Lord will restore us.
Thank you very much for this wonderful collection! I am deeply touched. Without reading your tribute to your sister at the end, I sensed an especially deep personal nature of this collection. Some of us have a soul connection with Sissel and her singing & her voice. For us, listening to Sissel is a spiritual experience (which I also experience with some of the classical composers). As TLChrist says, you are all in a class by yourself amongst all the reaction videos because each one of your videos goes deep into the Soul & the Spirit which we share with Sissel and which she realizes through her voice & singing. Please be well.

This Going Home is a nice tribute to Your Sister. You have My prayers , My friend.
Thank you for your prayers. I'm creating a video for her memorial services and playing the full version of Going Home. It's such a wonderful song. On a side note, after I uploaded the video, I noticed I misspelled the word "finished" on the last screen... but it's too late to change it now and I'm really disappointed in myself. But maybe most people won't notice.

Excelente work. By curiosity you do a work in which I have the must important of our Sissel. It's a fact that I prefer the exemples "pristine tones"and "sustained note". About "You raise me up", and with all respect for the original "Secret Garden" and of course Celtic Woman version wit Lisa Kelly/Órla/Méav/Clhoë (more then beautiful), Sissel, for me, is on the top, the best version. Your first tak is the maximum of Sissel.

I have a collection of "You Raise Me Up" which includes all of those you mention and more, and I agree with you completely. I have several of Sissel's "You Raise Me Up". I love them all but the one she sang in Japan at 平等院 Temple is very special to me. Though I did not know about her or that concert then, I was in Japan and had visited the temple more than once.

I agree with you. Slow Down moves me every time I listen to it and I do "slow down" to listen to the Lord. Be blessed.

Then there is this other Sissel of the modal singing: something she did when young and the great Paddy Maloney discovered in her and encouraged: An Raibh Tu Ag gCarraig? a most difficult but ravishingly beautiful song. Also, Siuil a Ruin... both in Irish Gaelic... Boat Song... in Scottish Gaelic And those songs she did in her Faroese concerts such as Tidin Rennier. I can honestly say there is for me very few other singers, outside of the world of opera, who can make me tearful. But she has that gift.
Factoid: Siss has been recorded singing a tone higher than C6.
I believe it's the last note on "All Shook Up" an E flat 6... but I could be wrong.
There are so many songs to consider and so little time. I wonder how many different songs she has sung over the years. I'd bet she's sung more songs than I have years left to cover them all... but I'm going to try!

First of all, I want to express my condolences on the passing of your elder sister. She left for a better world.
In addition, I really want to support you in your quest to do a lot in the rest of your life. You can do everything. I also often fall into despair that I will not have time to do, learn, see and hear much in the rest of my life. We are not destined to predict, so we must hurry to live and do GOOD. Unfortunately, we have no time to SLOW DOWN, as our Sissel advises. TOGETHER WE WILL OVERCOME EVERYTHING. Sorry for the pathos. Good luck and HEALTH.
