I saw them at the Vogue here in Indy and they were awesome. Jeff sounded just as good as he did 20+ years ago. Awesome band. If you get the chance to go see them, I recommend it.
A Testament to Geoff is the fact that they DO NOT TUNE DOWN! IT's still in 440. WOW after all these years he can still sing it in the ORIGINAL KEY!!!!!!!!!! MY HERO
We have to deal with the DeGarmo-less Queensryche, but this is pretty awesome "consolation." The Degarmo-era QR rules and we can content ourselves to see and hear these types of performances from Geoff Tate and Scott Rockenfield (a lesser-recognized major piece of the QR puzzle). WIlton seems a little tired, but these guys get sick and lose concentration like everyone else at their jobs. Some days you'd rather be fishing, you know? Thanks for this post. Great camera and Geoff sounds amazing.
Cool raw footage dude!! I caught the show here in Poenix on the 30th and they ROCKED!! They honored some Vets on stage....... Too cool.......Thanks again.
I'm going to their San Francisco show next week - can't wait!!! Looks like they aren't uptight about cameras like some other bands are....... Thanx for the nice preview.
LOL at :41 sec he's instructing the MONITOR mixer to turn his vocal down in his in-ear monitors. You see him point to the mic and then point down. Anyway, one of my favorite songs! I have a version of me singing it on my channel! Check it out! The sound is surprisingly good in this video.
@arisathanactor Have you tried to sing "Walk in the shadows" (this sounds hard)? You say the recent songs are harder to sing (you mean OMII or American Solider?). I am not a singer, but I always thought that the older ones were harder (because of this high notes).
A true living LEGEND! Geoff is second to none!
The sound quality of this clip is surprisingly awesome. Incredible song and great performance, Geoff is killer in this one.
Will forever love this band, helped me through so much.Met Scott and Geoff, miss these days, long hair, passion,80's.💜
