2 sweet spots: at the neck and body union and just in front of the bridge .Hence the reason for the position of Leo's original tin covers.keeping in mind there was a stick on mute inside the bridge cup and std flat wounds back then we're the tone in the old days All in all these are great work horses that can be regretted down the road.Fender goodness all around! Thanks...
I’ve only just got back into playing after a 15 year break! I came across this bass and just adore the look of it. Even though it has the 50’s style pick ups, do you think it could sound good playing 90’s grunge/alt rock which is my favourite genre to play? There’s not many around in stores to try, I love the feel of the modern p bass and love how it plays. I have to buy this without playing it 😅
Of course!! You can play any style on a P- Bass, regardless of era. However these basses were a limited run a few ago. Plenty of good options still available though. Please reach out with any questions. - Anthony // anthony@empiremusic.com
I tried one out at my local shop. I A/B’d it against a G&L LB-100 Tribute. Despite being $350 cheaper the G&L blew it away. Bummer. I was really surprised.
Love the matching headstock

This video influenced me to buy one. I wanted a new P bass....and this video helped me make the decision. Shhh don't tell my wife.
Does that have same pickups as the 50 s American original p????
I seen this in the store but went with the buttercream instead with maple fretboard and white pick guard
You bought the Fender Player precision bass. That's another excellent P bass.
Very good performance and good video, could you also review the 75th anniversary jazz bass?
great review! this one's on my radar.
Nice playing. Fender makes some great bass guitars.
Will you be doing the jazz too? Great reviews, I enjoy all of them.
Changing my mind w each note! 🎸🎵🤙🏼
This or fender player p bass?
Well... these are no longer available. So go PLAYER!! Let me know if I can help with your selection - Anthony // anthony@empiremusic.com
A great looking and sounding bass ! I'd like to know what amp it was running through...if any ?
It's a Player with painted headstock and different pickups.
Basically this. I compared them both at Guitar Center and ended up walking away with the Player.

Interesting. How exactly did the LB100 Tribute blow it away? I m honestly interested. Thanks.
@@dpoon11 I'm curious to know too
Bass fretboard or neck are slim like a jazz bass?
It's easy to play this bass like jazz bass?
P bass neck is slightly wider. Slightly harder to play fast but still can do it
Is this one of the basses listed on your website right now? Meaning the exact same bass?
No this exact bass has been gone for some time! The one online is a B-Stock - Anthony
Nice!
Brent did not zoom in
Hahahahaha
Any lefties?
Is this an American Made P-Bass?
No.
No but there is an American made 75th Commemorative version.
Mexico
Mint !
This is Mexican Made.
The 75th Commemo is USA made.
Can't you play something different..?! Please give us some variety
It’s a freaking P bass. You want variety go look at the Jazz version. Or make your own video🤷🏻♂️
