I love goku's namek training because of how he took advantage of the saiyan near death experience power boost really shows how smart goku is in terms of fighting😂
This video amused me so much man. Listening to a story I consumed through a 4:3 CRT screen on broadcast television as a child being retold with “this man” and “built different” combined with the rapid fire subtitles for maximum attention span destruction had me rolling. I’m glad gen Z is enjoying Dragonball tho. If you ever get around to watching Yu Yu Hakusho, make one of these for Yusuke. Lol
That part of the series is a true inspiration to me (as a musician, much different than a fighter) because Goku became his own teacher and pushed himself through 6 days of intense training and with that became a Super Saiyan for the first time, without even knowing it yet.
I'm sure the training had a massive impact on him achieving Super Saiyan, however Krillin's Death was the driving factor that pushed him over the edge and "activated" it finally. Think Naruto, and the awakening of the Mangekyo Sharingan, and how it is activated in Uchiha clan members due to witnessing an extremely emotionally distressing event. Very similar to SSJ being activated/achieved when you think about it. Except we know Uchiha can accomplish the mangekyo through intense feelings of love, not just hatred as originally thought. But it appears SSJ is unlocked solely through rage or a very real, necessary, need to do so. As in, certain battle scenarios and such. And we know this to be true as it's stated in DBZ actually. But that's just my personal specific take on the whole concept in general, not saying all I said was 100% accurate, just to be clear
Man! Great analysis. Protagonists are not like Goku anymore. The is 100% will, will to Fight, not even win. Since his training with Kame he was just this way. He loves to fight, in his childhood he was more headstrong. He grows up to be a young and good father. But is his training into Nameks way he becomes a real man. He changes and never get back to his old Goku childish, from this own he takes everything more seriously. When i was a child goku from Freeza Saga was the best thing ever on TV. Thanks for the Nostalgia!
This, I have seen so many shows but why is it that I remember this the most. The training was so insane and it felt like he was training forever when I watched the show on TV and I couldnt wait to see what he could do when he reaches Namek. Great video.
I like what you mentioned about moving his goalpost so massively that he was super motivated and ready to make massive improvements. He shows that again when he realizes he can move past SSJ, and he does that again when he learns about all the gods.
I think Raditz was a big motivator. I think Goku was frustrated with the fact that he could have been stronger and mopped the floor with Raditz if he kept getting stronger but slacked off when he became the strongest in the world.
Goku also gave that glare to Taopaipai, Tenshinhan, Tambourine and Piccolo... on at least three occasions. Sobered up and shot that calm, smoldering glare. Smirks when he's having fun. Has no problem being slack jawed or screaming in rage when flustered, but when he gives the silent glare you know you're in for pain.
Goku's inspiration to working out and pushing yourself beyond your limit probably hits just hard as Arnold Schwarzenegger to the fitness community. When I was kid I used to be obsessed with working out, actually believing I could raise my "power level" lol

I prefer my main charaters to use unconventional but 90% legitimate tactics, they get 10% wiggle room for bullshiting their way past something. Goku might not fit that normally nowadays, but in namek that was his entire thing, he abused easily observable facts and pulled techniques out his ass to survive, so namek saga goku is honestly my favorite version of the character. He wasn't wise enough to fully embrace being a mentor, but he was crafty enough to pull tricks like that water scene out of basic facts and thinking on the fly.
This was such a sick breakdown man. Loved every second of it. Top notch commentary 💯 7:50 that shot is so badass 💪🔥🔥🔥🔥 Really enjoyed this as a life long DBZ fan 👏👏
8:17 God this is so right, Goku is cocky since yk hes actually strong just like Vegeta except he just doesnt care so much he doesnt even bother saying or doing anything to intimidate his opponents

If I had something that could heal me from near death while also powering me up from said near death experience due to the nature of my genes, I’d be a super saiyan too
i mean humans do have that....but it just takes time...if you consistently sleep for 8 or 9 hours everyday you'll feel your body healing....look at any farm hand. They have an 8 or 9 hours on an average to do hard manual labor and a good sleep schedule. That long hours of work will take you to the brink of exhaustion.....that's pretty much how our ancestor's lives were. If we on the other hand spend the entire days sleeping no wonder we get so many diseases.
You’re a wordsmith mate, you make me laugh with the way you describe this show. Probably my favorite DBZ channel on RUclips and it’s not even close. Thank you for brightening my day brother. God bless you! God speed

Dope ass video. I really enjoyed it from start to finish. & the Bible quote at the end took it to the next lvl for me. Liked, commented, & subscribed. Keep up the good work, brother. I'm looking forward seeing more.
The Saiyan Zenkai boost was always hindered by weak healing. - It would normally take months of recovery from an almost death scenario. And if the Saiyan body is permanently damaged such as losing a limb then it's game over. - Frieza's medical machines was a vast improvement in healing but it still had it's fair limits since it could not regrow biomass. - Senzu beans however are just insane. They heal you in an instant, even broken body parts that is impossible to heal. The only downside is that Korin is the only one able to make them and is still considered very difficult.
I love your channel videos where you analyze the DBZ training bro. And what made me subscribe is the fact you insert Bible verses in your videos. Keep it up and God Bless!
Dudeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! I’ve watched him training 9,000 times or more and lol and I’ve never noticed it was lunges !!!! I thought he was just walking in the gravity ! Dang thanks very very very great video honestly
he made use of his saiyan biology, the zenki boost to keep damaging himself, then healing himself so his powerlevel increases greatly, and repeat that process
I really liked the scripture message at the end! Indeed I was blessed to have motivational characters like Goku, well mainly Goku, while watching Toonami on Cartoon Network during 8th grade as a chubby (or husky as I was called when trying on suits back then) struggling kid. Funny enough, when ending 8th grade in my private school (that was overall difficult to deal with too at that point) another overweight (if not a little more) 8th grader jokingly called me "breast cancer boy." I shrugged it off angrily and going into the following summer vacation I was heavily invested in DBZ and other Shonen-type Anime's on Cartoon network (Yu-Yu Hakusho, Tenchi Muyo(S [there were three]) , Outlaw star, Cowboy bebop, etc...) and along with my step father's Total Gym, Dance Dance Revolution, and running on a treadmill whilst playing Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, by the time I entered the 9th grade 3 months later I was lean and hella mean (only in appearance, I hear im a very likeable guy by everyone I encounter, LOL) . School seemed to be easier with the added level of focus and confidence through the Goku styled training. Also, everyone that knew me from the 8th grade successively going into the 9th were Soooo shocked at my Super Saiyan-like transformation, myself included! Fun Fact: Nowadays I still train with a 5 lb wrap-band weight on my arms and ankles, just for the effect of looking and being like Goku and Piccolo when they would throw their weighted gear off. Also, it was a happy coincidence that my high school back then had a mandatory TaeKwonDo gym class for the 9th and 10th grade boys. My previous leg training unfortunately made me soo strong to the point of fracturing my Dojang sparing partner's (John S. was his name) shin, even through thick padding, when he defended my low sweep trip attack. That was at least 22 years ago, and I still maintain my stance of reserved defensiveness to protecting others while not falling into violent aggressiveness along with continual training! Still trying to get good with that One Punch Man training these days! Did I mention I loved the hell outta Shenmue on Dreamcast back then too!
That snub of most people todays favorite anime mc being some skinny twink teenager was the best 😂 I immediately thought of like 12 of them that it could be. Sheesh. Great video as always!
this is what I miss in dragon so damn much and before ya say there's moments like those in super, No. These moments back in the day was the very definition of the grind, pushing themselves over, over, and over again. Their mind, body and goddamn soul was pushed to exhaustion, super don't do that. Old dragon will always be superior, it's what got half the men that watch it working out cause in the end the grind don't ever stop no matter the age, you keep it going.
Even his initial journey across the snake Bridge (don't remember the actual name by heart, snake road? Idk haha) was such an awesome handful of episodes. Especially the tension felt when he falls off the truck and down into "hell" where he apparently cannot escape from, no matter what. Still love that part of DBZ.
“Before ya say there’s moments like this in super, no.” I’m here to tell you: yes. There are. Just watch Resurrection F (the series, not the movie) and you’ll se Vegeta and Goku struggling training with Whis to attain Super Saiyan Blue, not only that, but it was thanks to that training that Goku managed to unconsciously achieve Ultra Instinct Omen, which he only started mastering in the Moro arc. You think he just got that out of nowhere? No, he had to grind for that UI in that arc.
@@L1z43vr Dragon Ball super barely had any training montages and no of them were on the level of old dragon ball and DBS training is all about transformations while dragon ball z was about everything, martial arts, harsh training, mental training fighting themselves time and time again, etc. Dragon Ball super training will never match old g, it's a fact. But in the end you have your opinion and I have mind.
@@samuelfoster7790While I agree that Z was better overall, Super still had some decent moments. It did take awhile to find its footing but it did get better as it went along. My biggest gripe was the soundtrack. I miss the old toonami soundtrack cause it so perfectly fits the mood of the show.

Junk. Yard. Dawg.
@@SensibleSaiyan Just Speaks to the genius of the Bulma bloodline
You have to think about the fact that they can have houses in a little capsule
8:47 nah the undertaker ding is deadly xD
Lmmao the part with picco laughing is what got my subscription
That little scene when he throws the rock then catches it opposite his initial position, is one of my favorite dbz scenes. I would love to be that fast
I love goku's namek training because of how he took advantage of the saiyan near death experience power boost really shows how smart goku is in terms of fighting😂
he didn't know the z-boost was a thing. he just thought he was making effort.
Lol
Glad you liked it! I’m a big fan of YYH and I was planning on making videos on it too
@@SensibleSaiyan Hell yeah! To borrow you’re vernacular, Yusuke is HIM! Even though he’s a skinny armed teenager. Haha
Great video, the commentary in the video was hilarious, the “ah ha ha” piccolo moment had me in tears 😂
Thanks bro, I appreciate it
Goku also gave that glare to Taopaipai, Tenshinhan, Tambourine and Piccolo... on at least three occasions.
Great Job on commenting, and Editing. First time watching your videos, had to subscribe. Keep it up, I’m sure you will keep climbing to the top. Loved the Picolo ha,ha,ha part.
I dont know why but when you said gokus hyped to hear from his boys it made me smile.
Mad video dude, cool to see new types of DBZ content coming out talking about the series itself and not hypothetical stuff
Thanks man!
You have a new subscriber bro. I'm the dragonball guru out of my friends. And you definitely noticed to same thing about goku that made me respect him so much as a kid. No matter the mountain ahead. Preparation will see you rise to that occasion. Thanks man
My favorite feeling in the world is after the gym where you feel so tired and sore you just want to eat, sleep and do it again. All thanks to Goku
8:41 those Undertaker bells are on point
Man I miss wwe
4:08 That laugh. I'm dying here 😂
XD
Bro was drinking sports drinks instead of beer. He was locked tf in.
You know you are serious when you stop showering like Goku
Bro why did I just discover your content this is legit amazing
Beautiful video man, congrats! So inspiring. Back to my calisthenics right F now.
💪🏻
Yes!!! More training analysis! This is what made Dragonball Z great 🔥
2:16 Imagine being a doctor and your medical knowledge and equipment are beaten by a bean.
A bean that's stronger than all the juice in the world
The " Ah Ha ha ha " bit kills me everytime 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video!! Never saw Goku's training like this before 😅
Plus I LOVED the fact that you tied it with scripture at the end
Back when the writing and animation in the DB franchise was TOP TIER 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 PURE GOAT 💯
2:30 “after foolishly not waiting for the cappuccino machine to be installed” 😂😂😂😂😂
I love that all your breakdowns are from a fighters perspective. Its fantastic and can't wait to see what other fights and trainings you get into whatever the anime. Honestly NEED your Majin Vegeta vs Goku breakdown though!
Don’t worry I’ll definitely cover that one eventually
This video was so fire ah haha ha
Naw fr. I’ve watched this multiple times. Your analysis is spot on.
Using the Undertaker's bell for Goku's glare was perfect, love it :)
The Bible verses hit so hard, at the end of Yours great videos, making them something else. Cheers, everyone. God bless you.
That was the training that give super sayan to Goku. Undoubtedly. One the greatest upgrades of him.
THIS VIDEO GOT ME FUCKING AMPED TO THE MAX 😤😤😤
At 90g, Goku weighed about 7.38 tons. That rope and the Spacecraft were insane.
Nice Touch With Some Scripture At The End Bro .
One of the most inspirational videos today!!! Maybe even of All time!
Your videos are lit bro I love this! 😂😂😂 piccolo ah ha ha 😭😭
I appreciate it man 😎
If I had something that could heal me from near death while also powering me up from said near death experience due to the nature of my genes, I’d be a super saiyan too
i mean humans do have that....but it just takes time...if you consistently sleep for 8 or 9 hours everyday you'll feel your body healing....look at any farm hand. They have an 8 or 9 hours on an average to do hard manual labor and a good sleep schedule. That long hours of work will take you to the brink of exhaustion.....that's pretty much how our ancestor's lives were. If we on the other hand spend the entire days sleeping no wonder we get so many diseases.
a true master of calisthenics
Keep the videos coming! I’m loving this content and the scripture that follows!
Every time he upped the gravity I cheered!
facts bro 💯🤟🤟
You’re a wordsmith mate, you make me laugh with the way you describe this show. Probably my favorite DBZ channel on RUclips and it’s not even close. Thank you for brightening my day brother. God bless you! God speed
krillin wouldnt have died if goku had had that capucino machine installed
A lot of people say frieza saga was best and this is part of the reason why it was all being hyped up and it paid off. It took a while to get there, but it is what made you excited for a new episode.
Nice work, bro. I clicked on this vid just cuz and it turned out way better than i thought it would be.
Thanks man, I appreciate that
Dope ass video. I really enjoyed it from start to finish. & the Bible quote at the end took it to the next lvl for me. Liked, commented, & subscribed. Keep up the good work, brother. I'm looking forward seeing more.
Don't forget the Muffin Button
Muffin button
Must've been protein muffins cuz damn
the undertake bell with the Super Saiyan Goku bit got me laughing a good while. so simple but sometime simple jokes are the most effective.
A bible verse after a dragon ball video is surprisingly wholesome
The Saiyan Zenkai boost was always hindered by weak healing.
- It would normally take months of recovery from an almost death scenario. And if the Saiyan body is permanently damaged such as losing a limb then it's game over.
- Frieza's medical machines was a vast improvement in healing but it still had it's fair limits since it could not regrow biomass.
- Senzu beans however are just insane. They heal you in an instant, even broken body parts that is impossible to heal. The only downside is that Korin is the only one able to make them and is still considered very difficult.
fire video and good commentary, u gonna blow up eventually if u keep going. somebody talking ab dbz that doesn’t have an annoying voice and is funny 😮
Goku training episodes are the OG motivational videos
This part of DBZ made me a fan for life. This show is all about surpassing your perceived ceiling.
"I don't know who your favorite anime character is. Probably a skinny teenager..."
Guts would like a word with you.
You’re certified
Love this! Thank you 🙏
I love your channel videos where you analyze the DBZ training bro. And what made me subscribe is the fact you insert Bible verses in your videos. Keep it up and God Bless!
Thank you 🙏🏻
At 3:42, it’s crazy to think that Frieza got the Beerus treatment back in the day.
And then Vegeta claims he needs Krillin because it won't work if he does it himself.🤣
Toriyama did like his plotholes.
3:56 Goku : And I took that personally.
That snub of most people todays favorite anime mc being some skinny twink teenager was the best 😂
I immediately thought of like 12 of them that it could be. Sheesh. Great video as always!
I remember those training days. If only I had the sensu beans to back it up.
Goku really ate that horse
Ayyye...I was waiting for this junt!!
Yes sir! Thank you for the idea
@@SensibleSaiyan welcome! And as always I enjoyed the scripture at the end
this is what I miss in dragon so damn much and before ya say there's moments like those in super, No.
“Before ya say there’s moments like this in super, no.”
I’m here to tell you: yes.
But in the end you have your opinion and I have mind.
facts
@@samuelfoster7790While I agree that Z was better overall, Super still had some decent moments. It did take awhile to find its footing but it did get better as it went along. My biggest gripe was the soundtrack. I miss the old toonami soundtrack cause it so perfectly fits the mood of the show.
“After foolishly not wanting to wait for the cappuccino machine to be installed”😂 gold.
Imagine if he could have had the caffeine from the cappuccino machine.
5:08 i never watched or remembered this scene, thanks for mentioning it!
5:28 This was brutal lol
Not gunna lie I was just working out outside while watching this vid goku got my shoulders maxed out 😂😂🔥
7:20 honestly the biggest hindrance Goku has was the fact he grew up on Earth.
Planet Vegeta was said ot be at around 10x Earth's Gravity, being exposed ot that yourwhole life gives you a diff baseline.
This is probably my favorite collection of scenes outside of the main story. I love watching Goku on the ship it’s so enthralling
Namek Saga was really some heat ngl
Toriyama really got into hia bag and pulled out only heat 🔥🔥
I loved the video!
