- Donald Trump, former US President and Republican presidential nominee, was hit in the ear in an apparent assassination attempt by a gunman at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, in a chaotic incident ahead of the 2024 US presidential election. The 78-year-old former president was rushed off stage with blood smeared across his face after the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, while the gunman and a bystander were killed and two spectators were critically injured.

Its just bad timing, as i'm sure he was referring to the other photo where the shooter is lying dead......... So the news is badly presented, and that's why people are confused. On the Dutch news they showed an unblurred picture of the shooter and mentioned it was from a video from TMZ, in which the shooter is seen opening and getting shot and killed. Couldn't find that video yet by the way.
I can imagine it stinks that foreign news outlets provide more details than your own, due to that (IMO silly) censoring.
FYI: the shooter wore camo clothes. So any outlet showing a 'shooter' with different clothes is not getting the facts straight.
