Absolutely love her. She was probably the first dark skinned actress I remember watching It's a living back in the 80's, seeing her in that show told me my black was beautiful. She was smart, beautiful classy and funny. True DIVA

Sheryl Lee Ralph should get a bunch of invitations to be university/college commencement speakers. She is such a motivational speaker. She speaks with honesty, integrity, strength and clarity.
She was awarded an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Tougaloo College after giving the commencement address there.

Love Sheryl. So warm and definitely Mother to all. But that part (8:45) where she explains how Jay is much better looking in person is interesting. She meant everything as a compliment, but at the same time, it seemed as if she was saying that prior to meeting Jay… she didn’t really understand why Bey chose him as a partner. 🙆🏾♂️
@Virtuoso You can meet someone like a Halle Berry and say The same thing and nobody would think it was a back handed compliment..It only sounds bad because people say some people say he's not attractive.. But she meant nothing by it .

Why it has to be Judge Joe Brown? Could have been James Carville. 🤷🏽♀️ she never said. Maybe one day she’ll confront who it is. Her story made me remember this old Lt grabbing me and kissing me in the wheel well of a cargo aircraft at Norton AFB. When I reported it even the commander pushed for me not to “ruin” that man’s career. He tried to tell me he liked me and thought I liked him too. So you grab me and kiss me??? You didn’t ask me on a date you just Ugh! This man was not a young immature butterball but a prior enlisted that became a commissioned officer. He knew better and those above us didn’t care about me.

In regards to her salary in Dreamgirls & her getting shafted on the backend, the same happened to Ellen Holly from 1968-1985, she only made between $500,000-$600,000 in total salary or compensation. That is a travesty. If not for Ellen Holly, One Life to Live would have been canceled. She put OLTL on the map.
I think more people might want to go to the theater but the price point is just not it.

It was STEVE HARVEY who assaulted her! Keep in mind, she said he WAS a famous tv judge, she didn’t say he was a judge AT THAT TIME. Steve HAD a judge show. He also had his own tv show during the time moesha was on. I can see Steve doing this. She mentioned Mayor of New Orleans Marc Morial. He served from 94 to 2002. She also said both shows were NEW at the time. Moesha AND Steve Harvey show started in 96. Judge joe brown didn’t start til 98, meaning it CAN’T be him cuz moesha would’ve been a 2yr OLD show at the time. Really LISTEN to her details. Go research it. It’s STEVE HARVEY!!!!!!!
