I would like to take a moment to thank you for all your videos and great explanations. Because of you I have got opportunity to learn about office 365 deeply. I have cracked a interview in big mnc, I'm forever grateful to you. Please continue doing this good work.. We are with you brother 😇
Great demonstration. I was able to get everything to work as expected. However, if I tested a transport rule for any encrypted email that was sent to a user internally to add BCC to a shared mailbox account which can be accessed by a boss, the boss cannot view the email. The permission is set correctly on the shared mailbox because the boss can read encrypted emails that are sent directly to the shared mailbox account. I couldn't find any info regarding this whether it's possible to do or not. Can you shed some light?
Thank you for this video. I have a question however, i noticed some encrypt template options are missing in my outlook, whereas another user has all options, we both have the same licenses and permissions
Email encrypton applies only for E3 and E5 licenses, but if you enforce encryption via a Rule, and the email is sent by a user that has F3 license, the rule will not apply and the email will be sent unencrypted?
I have a question: Regarding reminders issue . One user unable to dismissed reminder. Already I have clear offline message items but still that reminders pop up comes even where open a outlook
Hi Ayub, you can clear reminders using MFCMAPI, or use CalCheck tool to remove corrupted calendar items. ruclips.net/p/PL5oyXP-xEiGBk3nUhPoC6rxet9v1lrDFR
We currently use Purview DLP to encrypt any messages automatically that contain sensitive information. We have a client that does not allow for OWA and it seems the method of encryption for Purview DLP is to decrypt with OWA. Is there a way to change this setting? It's in purview DLP so I'm not sure if you are familiar but it's caused quite an issue.
I would like to know if I need any certificates to be able to use email encryption. This video does not clearly tell whether or not I need it, any help would be appreciated.
Awesome video! I have a question though on the RMS templates, 'Confidential /All Employees and Highly-Confidential/All Employees'. How they behave if we apply any of these templates while sending emails to anyone inside the org? I have tested it, however it doesn't behave the way its mentioned in the Microsoft doc. Could you please help me with this?
Hi, I have followed all the steps mentioned in video but I am not able to open the email with one time passcode and I am getting below message. See screenshot. " You don't have permission to view this message This message is protected and you don't have permission to view it. lock Message Encryption by Microsoft Office 365" Can you tell me what's wrong in settings or am I missing something in setting this up. Also, I don't see Encrypt button in outlook OWA after setting this up.
legacy tenants use rpmsg_v2 encryption and cannot open emails in Gmail and mobile devices. How is this solved? Is it possible to update the templates by default?
Always great content however this video is no longer relevant as MS has deprecated OME in July 2023 and moved over all encryption to Microsoft Purview Message Encryption. Just adding this comment for new viewers that are trying to follow your steps and its not working for them.

You are welcome.

Similar actions can be done through Intune App Protection Policies.

Can you tell me what's wrong in settings or am I missing something in setting this up. Also, I don't see Encrypt button in outlook OWA after setting this up.
I cant see rms templates while creating transport rule. Is there any minimum number of licenses required? The tenant only has one business premium
Hi, please refer to pre-requisites.
legacy tenants use rpmsg_v2 encryption and cannot open emails in Gmail and mobile devices. How is this solved? Is it possible to update the templates by default?
Microsoft tenants like the one you used for the demo use rpmsg_v3 and v4 encryption
Check the email headers in gmail
Can I set password to the attack file by rules

Exactly where is this option?
You need SMIME extension for Chrome or Edge browser incase if you do not see "Read the message" instead it shows SMIME.p7m attachment.
Do I just need the extension or must I also purchase a certificate?
