You will need to have the Azure plugin in order to have encryption available.

I can't send from my Outlook to gmail. Outlook cannot encrypt the message because the recipient's certificate does not exist. What should I do?

@weislaw If you are sending from outlook with a gmail account, you need to make sure you have encryption setup with gmail. In my video, I explain how to send emails using Microsoft's Azure encryption, so you would need to be sending from a Microsoft email account. Here is an article I found with some information on gmail encryption support.google.com/mail/answer/6330403?hl=en#zippy=%2Cwhy-some-emails-might-not-be-encrypted

Just remember that Microsoft can see all your emails, even when they are encrypted. Specially after the new 2023 Microsoft Guidelines.

So who ever is intercepting any email from the recipient, can click on the one time passcode link, intercept the code, use it to log in and read the message. Where is the safety in that? Only PGP with a shared key is truly secure, I think.

yeah this is useless because that button doesn't exist unless a shit ton of configuration has been done in the background.

and here you can see it is sent and it is encrypted... but it still shows the FULL TEXT in plain text... so anyone that looks at the pc can see everything = the encryption is useless... anyone that remote desktop in would be able to read it all too... the "test" should have been FULLY ENCRYPTED and look like garbled text... it didn't = worthlesss...
and in gmail if someone has access to your account and they JUST need to ask for a onetime passcode and tadaa it pops up in the exact same mailbox? that's not secure AT ALL...

Microsoft in its infinite genius has removed the encryption button, buried it, and now requires extensions and 3rd party certificate/s.
