  • So for a while now I have had this idea to create this wildlife photography video, photographing the owls at Lunt meadows in Liverpool, due to the weather I have had to come down here four time to photograph the owls, in this wonderful 67-hectare reserve.
From turning up at 5:00 AM in the morning and staying till 8:00 o'clock in the evening I have put a lot of hours into photographing and capturing the Barn owls here in the meadows, as they hunt for their morning breakfast and evening meal.
Finally it all came together and I have succeeded in capturing some wonderful images and videos of the barn owls hunting throughout the meadows from morning till dusk as these wonderful barn owls eloquently hover above the grasslands as they seek out their mice and voles.
But I will be back and I will visit this place many times throughout the year to continue photographing these wonderful birds, as well as the deer and the foxes and not forgetting when the weather gets warmer the smaller ponds will be teeming with dragonflies and butterflies another great opportunity to return and photograph some wonderful wildlife.

Another cracking video Ashley, have you ever seen any Short Eared owls at Lunt Meadows, I was told there are some there but its one place I have never been too. SEO are one species I want to see and photograph, my wife and I spent 3 days at Bempton in January last year, they had been there right up to the time we visited, but that weekend they had buggered off for a week scared by road works we were told 😀 so we never got to see them 😂

Bit late but there is no SEO at Lunt meadows this year, there have been in the past tho so I’m hoping for them to return myself.

HI Gazzab6, thanks for subscribing, glad you liked the video, yeh Lunt Meadows is a great place, one of those areas to just take it slowly and have a good walk around, I recommend starting as early as you can, for the best chance of seeing the most. have a good one 👍
