      My coworker and I both love xenoblade and we have come to the conclusion that 1 and 2 are in different universes and that 2's universe has earth and that is where 2 plays out the cloud sea is above earth so when you visit it later that is the aftermath of the space station shit. @@JamoXeno Looking back at out conversations we thought that under the cloud sea was ACTUALLY EARTH. I don't think I conveyed that properly and if the games explained that I I must've missed it (There's a lot of info in the games and sometimes I miss something or forget) yeah I wrote the top comment pretty poorly. I was saying the space station blowing up and creating the rift thingy split the universe into 2 or more continuities (I think that's the right word) and 1 is in a separate one from 2. And 2 mostly takes place above earth on the cloud sea. Then later you visit it and there are what seem to be remnants of human civilization and the zombie things (which we suspected were zombified because of the rift thingy) Its kinda confusing and I am confusing myself as I go on.

    I always found it weird how without the conduit the entire low orbit station just completely breaks, you'd think with 3 beanstalks all around the equator it would at least keep it somewhat stable.
    Unless the other 2 stations weren't there, Klaus said many people and many THINGS were warped into different dimensions, so maybe Xenoblade 3 could be a pocket dimension again like Xenoblade 1 where the characters investigate at least one of the other two beanstalks (also I want an evil death god Galea AU)

      MonadoDank Luxin did make a video a while back on how the world tree could exist and the idea is that inside the ring, there’s a fast moving cable that has an electric current going through it to keep it from touching anything in the ring and without the conduit, that very cable ends up touching the ring and rip the station apart from the inside out.

    • @jacobpamplin6449

    As interesting as it is having the other beanstalks I doubt Klaus’ fixing of the world would only extend to a small part of the world, as far as the other beanstalks go realistically they were probably sent off to another dimension during the space time transition event and wouldn’t be there anymore with only the top area connected to the ring left. Klaus outright said that morytha and the space station are the only remaining parts of his world so that’s what I think happened

    I still think that when Klaus mentions humanity being scattered from the incident and when Pneuma shows the orbital ring with only one beanstalk it's possibly the case where the other bean stalks were scatter throughout time and space too. I personally think it would be cool if the other beanstalks were the source of the Ganglion's creators in X and that society is just the small group of survivors from the Klaus incident that were left on the stalks when they were transported. Mimeosomes could just be based around the blade tech and core crystals and the Vita an old war machine. They could have been transported into the future and into a post Chronicles universe. The world in X has ether and a Telethia plus so many in world references to Chronicles it could potentially be the future of the world Shulk creates and Shulk's society failed for some reason (which could be the plot for Xenoblade 3) and X2 could be them discovering the ruins contextually. Elma could possibly be a descendent of said society too, based on her looks alone it's almost as if she's a mix of human and machina.

    Ok so if there are two more world trees I think the Ai helped run not just the conduit but also the orbit station so that could mean six more aegis I know I could be very wrong but that could make an incredible villain group maybe the reason the Ai weren’t on radamantionos was because they weren’t mentally stable enough as their raising in the digital world failed them.
    I just think that could make an incredible story to work on they could have been part off the reason ontos went evil in future redeemed they were in origin and effected ontos the main program and turn him evil.

    • @TheAstrobiologistOW

      My understanding is that Ontos went mad within Origin because they (or in just the core form "it" I suppose) were being tasked with doing Trinity Processor-level stuff despite being the one Trinity Processor core not designed to be fully-functional while by itself. Ultimately three humans being turned into AIs to be what is basically a new Trinity Processor within Origin proved to be a more stable setup. So in a sense we did get three more Aegises, with one of them poetically being Rex. I imagine "those two" as Rex says in FR will be pretty amused by that come their reunion once the worlds are done splitting again.

    I always imagined Nopon coming from the XC1 universe to the XC2 universe somehow because if the XC2 universe really was like our world before the Conduit's arrival, then it wouldn't make any sense for there to have already been Nopon on Earth because our Earth doesn't have Nopon, obviously. My guess is that Klaus was somehow inspired to make them while blueprinting new life on Alrest (because half of him is in the XC1 universe, and we know that he has at least a vague understanding of what is going on in that universe, i.e. sensing his own death approaching as Shulk & co. work to bring down Zanza).

    I have this nut job theory that what if Xenoblade X secretly stands for the roman numeral 10 and it's just so insanely far down the timeline that there are 7 other hypothetical games between 1/2 and X. Given that the nopon know of the monado in X and Tatsu references the homs, I do seriously believe that the nopon in X are distant descendants of the nopon of XC1. That also leads me to think that with the telethia being present in X as well, that there are too many things pointing to the notion of it being a distant future.

    • @eseph9899
      @eseph9899 4 года назад +1

      Then theres the parallel of the unified governments of 2 and X having the same name in japanese. It made me realize that since there are now multiple parallel dimentions, theres a chance that the world of the bionis and mechonis could just be this new world's version of elysium and the orbital station. After all, it's where Zanza and Mayneth ended up after the phase transition happened. Outside of it there could still be real parallel to earth which is where the rest of the humans wouldve ended up. Their government would have maintained its name and eventually, thousands of years in the future, the events of X take place forcing them to flee to Mira, aka the reformed planet from xc1. Thay would be long after the recreation of the XC1 world, giving it time for their new world to reshape into mira, since theres no evidence that they were still living on titans after. You even see the bionis' head in the water at the end of XC1 showing how the titans have sunk, and they are now living on a new continent which I speculate is what became mira. If you think about it, this would also make the endless sea and the 2 titans a sort of metaphor for heaven to the people from earth. It's where the gods of the world reside as well as its core creator, Alvis, and the high entia would just straight up be like Angels. Maybe I'm being too far fetched with all this but it's fun to imagine the possibilities.

    I think that when Klaus activated the Conduit to create a "new world", it was kind of like slotting a book between two other books in a bookshelf- the books on either side had to move to make way for the new one. This is why the explosion in Xenoblade X that destroys Earth actually emanates from ABOVE the planet- at roughly the location a Beanstalk could have been (refuted only by the towers being on the equator). The explosion was that single location being warped by the events in Xeno 2's world- perhaps the quantity of dark matter in the area from the Ghosts reacted with the dimensional surge and led to the explosion? Spitballing here.

    "...Greek doesn't have a lot a obvious references..." Uhhhh... Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma are Greek... the first two were terms that were used in Greek philosophy before the three became applied to the Christian concept of the trinity. And don't even get me started on Elysium. XD

    • @lunarcat4278
      @lunarcat4278 4 года назад

      Actually Elysium is only in the dub. In Japanese it is refered to as 楽園, or Rakuen, literally Eden, Paradise. Meaning it is in fact a Biblical reference not a Hellenic one. Much like Aegis being "Heaven's Holy Grail". I am also of the mindset that despite having roots in Greek philosophy the Trinity Processors' names are also a Biblical reference, one to the Trinity. Hence the name Trinity Processor. This is in line with Takahashi's track record for putting heavy references to Christian Mysticism, namely Gnosticism, in Xeno games.

    • @MaximusLight
      @MaximusLight 4 года назад +1

      @@lunarcat4278 Depends a bit, if you use the word paradise that also can be equated with heaven so Elysium isn't too far off either. It really depends on what culture, belief or philosophy they want to lean into. Most Xeno games draw on Gnosticism specifically with Abrahamic mysticism added in there for the references. Gnosticism isn't really Christian or Hellenic it's in between and heretical to both in various ways. It fits well considering but that's a level of nuance that I didn't want to get into in the original post as no matter how you look at the references they are drawing on greek references be they biblical, hellenic or otherwise.

    • @lunarcat4278
      @lunarcat4278 4 года назад

      @@MaximusLight Gnosticism is inherently Christian, it just is "Heretical" not "Orthodox". It has roots in Platonism (the Monad for instance parallels heavily with the Platonic idea of Logos) sure but it is Christian. Most of the Greek-isms come from the dub not the Japanese version. They exist sure, Rhadamanthus Minos, and Aeacus, or Siren and Ophion I do fully believe that the Trinity Processors and Elysium were meant to be more in reference to Abrahamic Mysticism (including Gnostic ideas) than Hellenism.

    • @MaximusLight
      @MaximusLight 4 года назад +1

      @@lunarcat4278 You're missing the point, Biblical, Gnostic, and Hellenic are all part of Greek culture in antiquity. All three off those are separate things and borrowed terms from each other but they are all greek in context the way it's used in the game translation. Elysium is a Hellenic greek reference, the Trinty is specifically a Biblical greek reference. They can translate it that way and have it be consistent so long as you keep in mind it's all ancient Greek culture, it just doesn't work if they there trying for all biblical references. Heck it can tick any combination of the 3 and still be greek.
      I personally would have gone with Eden to for the reference as it fits better within the backstory but I have to admit if they were going for the afterlife sense instead Elysium works better within the story since Rex is trying to reach it, which simply isn't biblical reference as it's against the core beliefs of Christianity but does work as Hellenic or Gnostic one and the Hellenic word for afterlife leaves no question unlike the Gnostic one which is obscure and hard to get in there easily.
      (Also note in the context of biblical references Gnosticism is not Christian because it's a heresy. In the context of what it derives from Gnosticism is a Christian heresy but by the definition of heresy that makes it not Christian as to be heretical something has to be so different from what it is derived from that they are no longer hold the same core beliefs or are so different as to be incompatible)

    Since we know the orbital station was made to experiment with the zohar outside the earth, what i want to know is if there was 2 more stations on the other world trees and possibly another set on the outer ring, what where the other stations used for? I mean elysium was most certainly the one holding the zohar itself but what did the others do. Where they just habitats (would seem odd given they're essentially built on a particle accelerator ring) or did they do other experiments there? Maybe one of them was for developing artifices, or one of them was the "savorite rebels"? Or (tying back into past xeno series), maybe the other stations had begun attempting to make zohar emulators from the original which could lead into whole other stories developing around those stations
    Also it was interesting to see you mention the government in xb2 was the same unified government in xbx (or named the same) but X still doesnt quite mess into the series for me. In X it was said earth was just caught in the middle of 2 warring alien sides and fled from them, but in xb2 the earth was seemingly at war with itself, so that still doesnt fit. I am thinking that the explosion which destroyed the earth was klaus's experiment (possibly through the multiverse) as the bad guys in X said they didnt know what caused it, implying it wasnt them nor did they see the purple ships do it, not to mention it looks exactly the same as the experiment explosion and not a planet blowing up. I guess if these 2 games are somehow in the same universe the other world trees could be where they built the colony arc ships?

    • @Nuvendil
      @Nuvendil 4 года назад +3

      Laboratories, habitats, stabilization of the ring. There's also an implication of a rebellion obviously so it's possible that the societal elite live in.
      The Arc ships were almost certainly built on the surface, just looking at their designs. Also, far more construction capacity on the ground than on that ring.
      The idea that XC2 Earth and XCX Earth are the same just doesn't work on almost any level. The technology levels of the two earths are vastly different, the implied societal situation is different, the battle scenes look nothing alike, there's no mention of aliens, the power source of a lot the super advanced earth tech in XC2 being the Conduit means that they literally COULDN'T flee earth in the way the human race did in X. There's just numerous problems. The theory just doesn't hold up at all.
      As for the experiment destroying Earth, I find that pretty suspect. Balance of odds is that it really was collateral damage from the Ghost ships which were shown to cause massive damage upon impact.
      And the explosions don't look the same. In the experiment scene, the Earth implodes on itself and then a massive explosion of energy follows. In XCX, there is an implosion looking effect, but it happens *above* earth and is followed by a massive explosion in high orbit that takes the planet out.

    also, we rarely see any pure displacement hulls, aka ships with no titan, in Alrest. I think the Monoceros does not have a titan, but even if titans are rare, or can't be found, does not prevent someone from building a boat normally, because the principles of displacement work the same regardless of the color of the liquid. So there could be an expanse of wide open seas, where titans are rare, and people are tootling around in sailing ships, sailing between the titans that exist, or even to larger, raft like vessels.

The World Tree is really tall as it is a space elevator so you can be decently far away from it. But I think the characters should have darker skin tones.

    Already told you about it but I'm going to put it here! Here's one of an outcome I'm going to explore:
    Alrest Humans seem to show up very late on the evolution tree (at Alrest, at least) that their titans are already at the point of ageing, dying even. As shown with Mor Ardain (confirmed to be dying), and Gormotti starting to age (bad crops and nature not doing so great), not sure about Uraya. The Indol titan seems to be younger, as it was explained in game that they descend from Judicium (which died, supposedly Temperentia) and many other titans that have passed away. Indol is for sure an analogy to the Vatican where everything is imported and noting is native, with the exception of the land itself. Indoline people might have affected life on Indol which resulted in no life on the titan.
    One of the outcomes I thought about was, let's say that core crystals and the cloud sea mutation with the core crystals happened throughout the planet, especially on the other elevators (sparse in between, concentrated like Alrest at the Beanstalks). Since there aren't any Amalthuses running around on the other beanstalks, you can see the full extent of the life Klaus envisioned, with newer titans being born, better blades being made and ultimately life being upgraded each time a titan gets born. You's also be seeing the migratory flux and land ownership in full force, which the former was teased by Indol, Torna at the end of the game, and Mor Ardain with Gormott, where people from old and near-dying titans would migrate to a younger titan, possibly merge with the already existing civilisation there or witnessing their progress and either doing an American history rehash or start living together. For the latter, people waging wars over the ownership of titans just like Ancient Europe, that would more than likely happen when governments, empires and kingdoms are formed and seek other big sized titans to secure for migration just like Mor Ardain, except that they have to go through wars to claim the lands.
    A question I would have is that, would the Aegises control the remote blades and titans' data? I would assume so, because Klaus said that they were tasked of managing all of them, without mentioning a limit to the range affected. And without the tale and history of Aegises, I wonder how the other Titans and civilisations would look at life, like the people on the Bionis and Mechonis? Where it's an endless sea where living beings only get to live on titans? The blades got weapons as an evolutionary mutation as Klaus said, what would be the next implementation? Better control over the ether, faster cycles before turning into a titan, the guess is as good as mine. Would someone as crazy as Amalthus exist to climb up the elevators but see nothing but ruins?
    Would Cloud Sea lifeforms encounter pre-experiment humans? if so, would the humans go down and live with Cloud Sea lifeforms, are they even compatible between each other, we know for a fact by Klaus that Cloud Sea lifeforms (titans, lifeforms born from titans and blades) aren't fully organic, their base cells are made out of the Cloud Sea's nanoparticles, while the true Earth humans are organic. What if they can't live on the Titans because of a reaction between the organic cells and the nanoparticles (is that one of the reasons why Klaus was stranded in Elysium?) and have to deal with a dilemma being to either modify themselves to be compatible with Cloud Sea life or stay up there in the Beanstalks, similar to Elysium where they decide to continue living comfortably in their paradise. Would the Cloud Sea humans accept it?
    After the Cloud Sea clearance by Klaus at the end of XB2, I assume the titans wouldn't gather since Klaus ordered only the ones on Alrest to do so. That event would be very strange and mind breaking for life outside of Alrest. But guess that the logical solution is that the Titans will do exactly like Bionis and Mechonis, just stand up or swim through the ocean now. They would also be surprised at the pre-experiment ruins like Morytha (assuming that the cities under the Beanstalks were preserved and everything else turned into just ocean).
    That's just a single outcome I explored, (could lead to a fantastic fanfiction lol). You realise how much spinoff/sidequels potentials are there. I just created a what if scenario that doesn't even contradicts the plot or lore of the game, lol.

      hachimitsuka miel this is pretty much why I adore xenoblade 2s world, it brings up many interesting questions and scenarios (but not too much to the point where it overloads the player) and unlike xenoblade x, 2 explained the basics of Alrest and the Titans in a way that’s more easier to digest while Mira in xenoblade xhad way too many questions and a lot of its Lore in X was way too vague for its own good.

    • @karihana
      @karihana 4 года назад +3

      @@mectainea5575 I completely agree, in terms of lore and worldbuilding, Xenoblade 2 is top-class compared to most of its JRPG peers.
      It's not too linear or constrained (which can be good on its own merits too, like XB1), which leaves a lot of room for interpretation but has strong and defined foundations to potentially build a strong plot out of it unlike X. While the plot on both X and 2 (chapters 1 to 6) were on the weaker side, I think the lore and worldbuilding overall did an amazing job on the game. Personally didn't really like the small packs of titans format but the concept was good and the execution was excellent and I cannot deny that.
      It can still a bit too vague in certain aspects in my opinion (especially on the blades and titans, and timeline of events), but I don't expect a game to explain absolutely everything about its world and how it functions that's why I find it near excellence.

    @Luxin Please see this, I’ve had this timeline theory that connects most, if not all, the Xeno games.
    Now you are definitely more knowledgeable on Xeno lore. But please humor my theory! I’m gonna try to abridge it. (Also note I have only played Xenoblade 1+2)
    Okay, so in the past of Xenoblade 2 there was a great war, the war that Klaus nukes the planet ending it. This nuking is the same nuking at the start of Xenoblade X!
    The evacuation ships didn’t know the full scale and knowledge the player has, so they simply thought and interpreted the Earth getting vaporized. When it was actually Klaus! This is supported slightly by the similar destruction of the planet, and Lin saying they plan on searching for Earth in the future, showing that not everyone believes the planet was vaporized.
    Fast forward A LOT, and the humans of Xenoblade X, became the humans of Xenosage. Having never found Earth and regarding it as a myth of legend. All the while Klaus was reseeding the planet as punishment for his actions.
    Fast forward again to Xenosage 3, KOS-MOS is see drifting towards an unknown planet, this planet? EARTH! She falls to the surface and her essence and data is collected by Klaus’ nanomachines repairing and reseeding the planet. Copying her, and T-elos’ life data into core crystals. Canonizing their appearance in Xenoblade 2!
    Fast forward more, Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade 1 story end. Shulk kills Zanza, and Klaus dies as a result. Klaus was the only thing tying the 2 physical universes and the Conduit together, and Shulk cut that tie. The Conduit then tried to “Reboot”, but Pneuma cut herself off in a sacrifice and Malos was effectively dead, so it had to slip through Klaus into Xenoblade 1 for Alvis. Giving Alvis true god universe altering divinity. Which Shulk promptly requested a universe without gods. Alvis obliged, seen himself as the only “god” left, he simply did just that, he left to a new universe.
    But in doing so, tore a hole connecting the 2, thus the events of Future Connect.
    But now where does Xenogears fit? I’ll be honest, I know the least of Xenogears, so I will leave that connect up to you! Maybe Gears is the future of Xenoblade 1, maybe is a prequel to everything and Alvis simply sent himself back to that time with the Conduit to reboot?

    In which case, there doesn't really need to be a specific distance from Rhadamanthus that Titan's can roam, they just go wherever and the ones circling the WT just really like doing that for some reason. (might be the Conduit, might be something else.)

    These names don't show the lack of confidence in the space elevators, but the total opposite. As Klaus said. They now onl, are a symbol of humanities hubris, but we're meant to show humanities development and prosperity. The space elevators being named after the judges of humans. So humanity was basically trying to say that they would triumph over death

    Did the model kit indicate whether the other 2 beanstalks survive the whole conduit events? Just because there WAS 3 beanstalks, doesn’t mean their still IS 3 beanstalks.
