I bought a knife in the Philippines made from a leaf spring in the early 1990's. Somehow it got lost during my divorce. It was great blade. I'd buy one of these cleavers in a heartbeat.
Man, that's unfortunate. They make some of the best blades out there..hard to find them cheap outside the country, especially if sellers know what they have in their hands. Whoever's gotten hold of your knife since is one lucky individual.
The time stamp of @11:00... the Grinder/sharpening wheel... look at the pile of grinding dust build up against the wall... Dude has been sharpening meat cleavers and knives there for 127 years...LOL... Don't get me wrong, I like how heavy the meat cleavers are, that helps with plowing right on through joints material... But, I just found it funny, how much grinding dust has built up into a single sintered heavy mass, likely weighing about a ton... lol.. .They could sledge hammer that grinding dust into some interesting cutlery of a high purity blades... so not all is lost on that pile...

I doubt that the cleaver would "hold" that sharpness for very long but it weighs over two pounds so it will have NO problem cleaving whatever is needed.

Mostly 40s guy would agree, these kind of traditional manufacturing videos, are relaxing to watch.
Спасибо за видео!Не одного лишнего движения,без суеты и спешки!Молодец человек
Safety glasses and one glove, that's the most safety equiped guy I've ever seen in one of those videos.
And don't forget the steel toe flipflops
And when it's a Japanese master making a Samurai sword while wearing traditional clothes, socks, and flip-flops, nobody notices.
Much respect from an old french worker, M. M. Hafeez
Thanks
That’s a lot of hard, dangerous work. Well done, Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
Australia is full of alcoholics. They wouldn’t be able to focus on this sort of job.

I love the exposed grinding wheel the worker straddles. If that wheel ever explodes wow!
Indian and ofc. Pakistani ppl die at most from TBC, not from exploding grinding stones.

Мне кажется, что первая часть, где куски металла раскатывают в полосы -- это отдельное производство, где из металлолома делают только заготовки.

I'm surprised the electric motor hasn't short circuited, the build up, in & around it is just a nightmare.
In another video for an object that needed to be painted, there was a thick crust of several centimeters of just paint droplets from spraying paint.
Yall are some badass dudes doing that shit in flip-flops shoes
How much do these amazing workers using amazing processes to get amazing results get paid?
Last I read 100.00 a month.
В горячем цеху практически босиком... Инженер по технике безопасности рыдает горькими слезами...
Ну молодцы, удивили. И ковкой и закалкой. Для такого массового производства очень достойно. Я бы с удовольствием поработал таким тесаком!
Thanks for watching
Stack the metal up over the front wheel of the barrow, it will make it work as intended then, you would barely have to lift the weight.
