Why are white people stuck on effing "Safety sandals"? what is it with you people and keeping you feet safe? are you all decendant of Lieutenant Dan? Have you ever considered they cant afford the shoes or other saftey measures as their salaray for a month is not more than $50. Have some decency you trailer trash whit dumb F**k
This is a luxurious work environment. They all get gloves and some of them get goggles. No ear protection but how loud can a giant hammer press slamming metal be?
When grinding the knife you notice blueing on the metal I means you are getting it too hot and losing the temper of the steel which make the metal softer in turn dulls the blade faster I suggest you get a bucket of water so when you grind it you can cool the knife quickly
They'd need to actually temper the blade to lose tempering. All of the drilling, grinding, and stamping cuts like butter, which means the material is super soft. 11:32 Dipping the blade like this is just to protect the worker's hands, not to save the blade.
@@andrewleach1996 seems like you and some of the others don't like the way they made the knives why don't y'all make some n how it's done I'm sure these guys know what their doing
I guess if you want to you could group all bladed instruments as a "knife"..... these are closer to a cleaver than a knife to me. I will stay with carbon steel (which I think these might have started life as) made in America, if not old kind of hard to find now days.
There definitely is some skill. But guys do you really hammer on cooled down steel? That generates a lot of tension in the material. 9:26 That gives the word “sanding” a whole new meaning. 😅
All the people giving wise ass comments about the quality and how fast the knife will get dull, have you ever thought of the fact these guys are reusing iron that you in the west have just come to realize that reusing is a good thing for the enviroment. In this part of the world, reusing has been a way of life, not a fashion. so give them the respect they deserve.
Omg, look at the sparks coming off while grinding… that is super low carbon steel, probably pretty close to mild steel. These will not hold an edge at all…
These blades are way too soft they’re junk and then what he treated has and hardness has is gone away because they don’t keep your metal cool while processing and making the knife. They don’t use certified metals.
When you buy cheap, foriegn made items...THIS is why its cheap. So dont complain about slave labor, horrible working conditions, etc... if you buy products from China, pakistan, India, Bangladesh, etc...
India is a place where the living conditions are so bad and living is so cheap the labor is cheaper than innovation or efficiency. That is why they are a failed state
Amazing how many Asians in the region casually work in such appalling workplace conditions. But they sure can produce. I doubt they get paid adequately as well.
Can't beat their prices . Safety sacrifices to bring you the most competitive priced knives.
Gotta love the safety sandals.
Sandals? Check. Loose clothing? Check. Eye protection? No way. We're good to go.

Love the "modern" guarding on those presses!!😮
Hand made. Every knife is different and unique.

1/2 of process done in sandals. Wdy expect?
This is completely wrong 😂😂😂
Can't believe they hand cut the blade to shape with all those presses around.
working with hot knives, sharp steel and grinders and the dude is in flip flops
OSHA = 🤯
@@DosDonts101 You don't worry about how they're making them and what they're wearing
They don't have an OSHA. Yet, they make 100s of knives. Imagine.
Somehow cleaner than their food prep over there.
The conditions at this workplace would make any safety inspector make commit suicide.
Nice work guys 👍🏼🇬🇧
THANKIOUPR❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Perfect and beautiful work🎉❤
lol perfect? Fit butter knives maybe.

I find it amazing how all those machines just sit outside. Doesn't it rain there at all?
This city in Pakistan rain can be not more than a week in whole year.

Excellent video. Thank you very much for posting.
Interesting video and process, but I think i will stick to my Japanese knives.
Another smart ass comment
I would love to own one.
Jason Voorhees: "I'll take two, one for each hand."
Maravilhosa fábrica de facas 🔪 🔪 😍👍👍
those knives looks lovly :-)
Exactly how Fred Flintstone done it
must be really nice to have them as neighbors
Have they not heard of work benches? Like that step where they rub dirt on a blank!!!!
Seems you need to research their ways of living and customs and how they do things
You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.
so from the entire Video, thats what you took, "no benches" not their skill, effort, hard work NOTHING! just why are there no effing benches? WOW!!!
Be dull after 2 cuts, nice effort though 😊
If you think you can do any better show us how it's done
Exact words your dad said to your mom when you came out, and he wasn't wrong!
good work ! congratulations !
Probably non

Made out of mild steel not stainless steel bet that rust well 😂
That's carbon steel@@ronaldhamblin4615
I wonder how much money they make?
Through translation these are really ice skate blades not knife blades
You should be wearing a googles and respirator, and possibly also replace the sandals too. I wont even get into the actual knifemaking....
How many people does it take to make a knife? All of them, I guess
"mass production" 😅
is this basic hand tools and simple machines? or simple hand tools and basic machines?
seems safety gear was used only for video purposes.
Very nice work and a lot of hard work was put into this craftsmanship. It reminds me of Aladdin’s when he wields a scimitar sword. .!🙌
In what story does Aladdin use a knife? And this just proves that you can turn anything into a sharp object, no matter how crappy the material.
@ So you are correct Aladdin didn’t use a knife. He used a sword!
Keep making videos like this
Thanks
Order krne k liye krna krna hoga
Can we get the guy on the grinding wheel a pair of safety glasses? It's 2024 and they are basically free.
Won’t hold a edge 😂
that is not stainless steel. just a flat mild steel
Yeah but can you make julienne fries with it?
That whole video making a FISH cutting knife, and we see it banged on steel and cut a couple veggies 😂

Well the test afterwards seems to indicate the hardness/toughness seems to be really good...
0 days since last injury 😂
I see equipment leftover from the British Industrial Revolution. Maybe a little after James Watt? Still functioning I see.
