      Yes, ofc he's one of few violin composers took violin in a very musical way after Paganini arrived at the scene, as after Paganini many took violin to a virtuous zone such as ysaye (he's a student of him), sarasate, kriesler, wieniewski, ernst but he maintained a very musical approach on violin

    It’s a shame that this isn’t included in the Suzuki books for the viola method. This would be very fitting for Book 8.

    Mendelssohn was not Wagner's nightmare. Where does such an assertion even come from?

    • @basedscores
      @basedscores  Год назад +3

      long story short, wagner doesn't fear mendelssohn, but he do feared that mendelssohn shouldn't be the face of german music, as he was a Jew
      (no offence, I got from what I read, any discrepancy is welcomed)

    • @steveegallo3384
      @steveegallo3384 Год назад

      @harryhagan5937 -- It "even comes" from just LISTENING to the music: Take the "Fingal's Cave - Hebrides" Overture. The chief motif, when INVERTED (as Rakhmaninov did to Paganini in the 18th Variation) yields Walkürenritt. Rouse yourself! Hear! Exert yourself! Work the case! Cheers from Acapulco!
