Until 6 months ago i was a JW elder, and would have told the same lies, although believing they were true. The issue is loyalty to the organisation is paramount, and you are taught that what you are doing is loving. But its sickening now watching this from an outside perspective

I do not know anyone that has been disfellowshipped for disagreeing with Bible. Be assured, that you will be disfellowshipped for disagreeing with the GOVERNING BODY in any way.
@ any other religion apart from Christianity uses extra biblical literature as their authority. Christians hold Scripture as their ultimate Authority, while JWs, Muslims, Mormons, etc. hold other books or literature as authority. If the watchtower says anything at all even though it may contradict scripture, they have to submit to it or they’re shunned.

The elders opening statement were subjective and based on certain fundamental conditions , he said" we love and care sbout you"...but that is only if you obey and never question the authority, rules and interprertations of the Governing body. And yes thier minds are already made up...and contrary to what the elder said, the whole purpose of the meeting is to judge and unlitmately remove you from the congregation. I'm still one of "Jehovah's sheep." They know that my biggest gripe is how little attention and honor Jesus receives yet they can't even throw him a bone to appease me. They're so blind.

We do not debate with gross sinners. While each person accused can voice his objection verbally and in writing there are no exceptions when it comes to following God's laws and principals. While we are imperfect and sin often, we do not use God's underserved kindness as an excuse for loose conduct. If we disobey our God without repentance, we do not deserve to be a member of his organization until such time we have a change of heart.

They're programmed to dismiss anything negative about the organization immediately. They don't even realize how hypocritical it is when they fail to extend that grace to the organizations of "Christendom."
Even if he doesn't get disfellowshipped he will still get reproved. Every Judicial Committe must end in either one of the two always. A Judicial Committe cannot be forned and the person walk away with no discipline. The reason they form these committes is because they feel sin has already been committed. A "repented" one gets reproved and "unrepented" one disfellowshipped.
It's funny how they are removing 'judicial' from the name bc like you said, it always ends in judgement. There is never just grace. It's always public or private reproof or disfellowshipping. All of which involve punishment.
Elders act as though they are God and judge you and make you feel guilty for not going to meetings etc.....its nothing to do with them, its only your relationship with Jehovah that matters, only HE searches the heart. Man knows nothing about you or difficulties that you face.

The fact that they expect you to have to answer to them in any way shape or form is all the proof that anyone would need to see that this is an extremely high control group. The best way to deal with them in any situation is just to simply say I don’t answer questions and walk away. They only have power over those who allow them to have power over them.

DO NOT DISCUSS ANY Corporate doctrine with them, you are not a member and owe nothing to their agenda. You LEGALLY cannot be excommunicated from an organization that you are NOT a member to, verbally or in writing or under implied contract. Being a Jehovah's Witness is a subjective term, it is not absolute. Anyone who talks about Jehovah is considered a witness there of, not a member to.

In hindsight, I'm conflicted about how kind I was to them. They don't deserve it, certainly not. I guess you could say that I wanted to "leave a good witness." Except for Jesus, not the cult.
I get sick of the friends’ concern; they are just judgmental and busy bodies. My family has had our share of what the “friends” have said. My dresses were too short, my hubby missed too many meetings because of work even though he was home everyday - but an elder was out of the country repeatedly with his job and his wife was left home with the kids but they were the chosen ones. I have seen this since I have been a JW. A sister was bullied to get off her meds because they accused her of witchcraft. The list goes on and on

As soon as you deny that man made arrangement of the gb as your mediator, you will be removed from the org. That’s a good question and something I’ve considered. First is the legal question, was this recorded illegally? Scriptures says we must submit ourselves to government laws, but it wasn’t, the state is single party consent. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t have posted this. Secondly what does the Bible say, well this verse comes to mind Luke 12:2-3 - "There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs." So every Christian should be accountable for their words, whether spoken secretly or not. I think everyone should have the presumption that their words are being mentally recorded, so really there’s no difference. For me, the question was never asked “are you recording this?” If this man lied, and kept recording that would certainly be in bad faith. I personally think this is an act of shrewdness, and revealing the hidden works of this false faith. What these elders are doing is unbiblical and an act of darkness that needs to be exposed. Still, if someone felt convicted, I would encourage them not to take this route.
Are you at all familiar with the JW judicial process? They're the ones acting in bad faith. It's a kangaroo court and they need to be exposed. If you listen to the recordings to follow, you'll see.

Why even answer the phone call? Why even agree to meet with the elders? If not committing a sin, (ie: immoral, drunk, drugs, murder, lying . . . any sins directly mentioned in the bible), then what have you done wrong? Ask the elders to show you in the bible where it says its a sin to disagree with the Organization/GB? Actually-ask them where in the bible are the words Organization or GB? If they say the charge is for apostasy, reply that you still believe and have faith in God, Jesus and the bible. Salvation is not through an organization, or a group of men, especially ones who have made many errors affecting millions of lives for over 120 years. Then quote them Ps 146:3, Acts 4:12, John 14:6.

At Gen 37:7, all bibles translate shachah/proskuneo as obeisance or bowed, not worship. At Gen 19:1 (Douay), shachah/proskuneo is translated "worshipped", but other bibles here say bowed, obeisance or reverence. But whenever proskuneo is given to Jesus somehow, AMAZINGLY, every time it is translated "worship" by these same bibles. Why? Because you mistakenly claim Jesus is God so proskuneo is translated as "worship" which supposes Jesus must therefore be God. This circular reasoning supports a false theology based on a biased mistranslation. Worship is given to men at Rev 3:9, at Isaiah 60:14 (Good News), at Isaiah 45:14 (Douay) and at Isaiah 49:23 (Douay, Geneva). Such worship denotes that God is with them (Isaiah 45:14), not that they are God. Likewise, giving proskuneo to Jesus means God is with him, not that he is God. Such worship denotes that those who receive proskuneo rule over others (Isaiah 14:2). Likewise, we give proskuneo to Jesus by recognising him as our ruler, not as God. How are you guys getting videos of confidential meetings? Sounds like a rogue elder at work of someone has bugged the meeting room. The bottom line is that when a member commits a gross sin and refuses to repent, he must be removed as a JW member to protect the congregation. There are no exceptions. Just keep in mind that removal is the last recourse and is disciplinary not a punishment.

I get sick of the friends’ concern; they are just judgmental and busy bodies. My family has had our share of what the “friends” have said. My dresses were too short, my hubby missed too many meetings because of work even though he was home everyday - but an elder was out of the country repeatedly with his job and his wife was left home with the kids but they were the chosen ones. I have seen this since I have been a JW. A sister was bullied to get off her meds because they accused her of witchcraft. The list goes on and on

A scandal on the body of elders then confirmed to me it is an organisation of men

At the same time, keeping everyone under control. It was as if the governing body had substituted for Christ. The final straw was a scandal within my local elders, which convinced me that it is a man made religion

The elders opening statement were subjective and based on certain fundamental conditions , he said" we love and care sbout you"...but that is only if you obey and never question the authority, rules and interprertations of the Governing body.

Even if he doesn't get disfellowshipped he will still get reproved. Every Judicial Committe must end in either one of the two always. A Judicial Committe cannot be forned and the person walk away with no discipline. The reason they form these committes is because they feel sin has already been committed. A "repented" one gets reproved and "unrepented" one disfellowshipped.
It's funny how they are removing 'judicial' from the name bc like you said, it always ends in judgement.

The fact that they expect you to have to answer to them in any way shape or form is all the proof that anyone would need to see that this is an extremely high control group. The best way to deal with them in any situation is just to simply say I don’t answer questions and walk away. They only have power over those who allow them to have power over them.

I get sick of the friends’ concern; they are just judgmental and busy bodies. My family has had our share of what the “friends” have said. My dresses were too short, my hubby missed too many meetings because of work even though he was home everyday - but an elder was out of the country repeatedly with his job and his wife was left home with the kids but they were the chosen ones. I have seen this since I have been a JW. A sister was bullied to get off her meds because they accused her of witchcraft. The list goes on and on

That’s a good question and something I’ve considered. First is the legal question, was this recorded illegally? Scriptures says we must submit ourselves to government laws, but it wasn’t, the state is single party consent. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t have posted this. Secondly what does the Bible say, well this verse comes to mind
Luke 12:2-3 - "There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs."
So every Christian should be accountable for their words, whether spoken secretly or not. I think everyone should have the presumption that their words are being mentally recorded, so really there’s no difference.
For me, the question was never asked “are you recording this?” If this man lied, and kept recording that would certainly be in bad faith.
I personally think this is an act of shrewdness, and revealing the hidden works of this false faith. What these elders are doing is unbiblical and an act of darkness that needs to be exposed. Still, if someone felt convicted, I would encourage them not to take this route.

At Gen 37:7, all bibles translate shachah/proskuneo as obeisance or bowed, not worship.
At Gen 19:1 (Douay), shachah/proskuneo is translated "worshipped", but other bibles here say bowed, obeisance or reverence.
But whenever proskuneo is given to Jesus somehow, AMAZINGLY, every time it is translated "worship" by these same bibles. Why? Because you mistakenly claim Jesus is God so proskuneo is translated as "worship" which supposes Jesus must therefore be God. This circular reasoning supports a false theology based on a biased mistranslation.
Worship is given to men at Rev 3:9, at Isaiah 60:14 (Good News), at Isaiah 45:14 (Douay) and at Isaiah 49:23 (Douay, Geneva).
Such worship denotes that God is with them (Isaiah 45:14), not that they are God. Likewise, giving proskuneo to Jesus means God is with him, not that he is God.
Such worship denotes that those who receive proskuneo rule over others (Isaiah 14:2). Likewise, we give proskuneo to Jesus by recognising him as our ruler, not as God.

How are you guys getting videos of confidential meetings? Sounds like a rogue elder at work of someone has bugged the meeting room. The bottom line is that when a member commits a gross sin and refuses to repent, he must be removed as a JW member to protect the congregation. There are no exceptions. Just keep in mind that removal is the last recourse and is disciplinary not a punishment.
