I've been seeing a massive influx of people on Twitch streaming from indoor pools & hottubs to get around the TOS rules that prevent you from wearing bathing suits or Bikinis unless you're in a pool and or hot tub so I decided to revisit this video 🤣 They no longer manufacture this Intex hottub but Coleman makes a more reliable model that is very similar with nearly identical specifications with way more positive reviews you can purchase from Amazon at this link - amzn.to/2SyvW3F Now go get paid on Twitch by playing Call of Duty in your mom's basement chest deep in your portable hottub with floating keyboard and mouse on a boogie board wearing your sisters bathing suit to get all those tips and subs while fragging noobs in CoD and Battlefield 😉 Seriously though, if you do this you have to post a pic and tag me on Twitter (@barnacules) and yes I will be doing a hottub streams in September over on my Twitch channel (Linked in Video Description) 🤗
Agreed. My neighborhood is a mostly white retirement community but that is slowly changing. Now we got the young kids moving in along with the blacks. So far all is good. I’m sure if I ask for help they can help me.
So my wife and I were just talking about hot tubes but realized how expensive they were ... then you post this!! Just purchased it off Amazon 20 mins ago. I love how your videos are out of the box reviews of things you would never think of.
Great video Jerry I need me one of these too! I love the idea of it being portable and not neing too cumbersome I could most likely install it in my back yard. ♥️
2019: Thanks for posting that video. I know that your personal life circumstances have changed, but you’re ability to inform, entertain, and enlighten your audience is eternal. Here’s hoping that my personal hot tub spa experience is as enjoyable as yours. 👍🏾👍🏾
That thing you put underneath looks like a solar cover. Check if it's like bubble wrap and let's light through. It's meant to keep stuff out and keep it from getting cold when you aren't using it.
I've had the Coleman version with the older style pump for about 3.5 years. I am on my second water pump and have had to replace many of the O-rings inside the unit itself. The armature inside the water pump is plastic and eventually fails/warps. I even had to patch it - it is holding up great and have no regrets! Wound up making a nice spot in the basement and putting it down there. Nothing beats getting into a 100F tub after shoveling snow!
Nice to see you back on the tube Jerry, hope your back gets well soon, i dont want you to feel offended, but your back is one of the main things that really benefits from some weight loss, i had a very bad back and it got better once i lost around 15 kilos, used to weigh around 130 kilos, now i'm 115 and it's much better. i know it's not easy, i know it's not fun , it's just for your health man. Do it or not, we still love you as you are mate. even if the weight is not the reason for your back, it will help you recover faster And hey, print some replacement covers for that pump and couple of clips to replace those bad ones.
May I recommend that while you use this dealing with your back stuff, staple the tarp tightly to a square of plywood, then put some bar floor mats on top so you don't have to stop in muddy puddles on the tarp getting in and out. I see that there is an insulator pad that goes underneath the tub itself. You could do a circular cut of plywood, or another sheet of something between the bar mat and the insulator pad, so it sits flush with the tub instead of losing contact at each of the holes in the bar mat. You should just be able to hose it off once in awhile if need be. Hopefully that all makes sense! But for 200 bucks, you can't beat that deal with how easy it is to setup and maintain! Hopefully it helps you with your back, brother!
Dude you rock and you seem to have an awesome family. I wish you had an entire production team so that I could watch daily videos from your channel. Keep up the great work.
Sorry I've been gone for so long guys. I've been live streaming every day on twitch.tv/barnacules since my back has been jacked up and I'm now just starting to feel well enough to start making videos again. This hot tub has already helped my back a lot and honestly turned out way better than I expected when I purchased it on sale during Black Friday. It's pretty awesome that I finally got a hot tub for about 1/10th of the cost of a real one that I'm completely satisfied with and coupled with a projector it's the ultimate back yard escape. Check the video description for links to all the products in the video and also come over and visit me on my social media platforms including Discord which is live chat that I join every day before and after the live streams in the morning. Good to be back!
Barnacules Nerdgasm be careful with your kids in there. The heat can get to them quickly. A timer works well for my kids. Set it for 20 minutes at a time.
Thanks B man. That setup was pretty damn good. For $200? Holy crap. If your back gets better, might think about building a 2x4 mini deck under it just to keep it off the ground a bit. Thanks for the upload.
I'm glad to hear that your back is feeling better. I'm planning to get some landscaping done (bad heart, hip, back and...) so that hot tub looks like a winner.
I've been thinking about buying one of these hot tubs.....and now that I have watched your set up and review, I'm definitely going to get one....thank you very much for this video!!!
We have had ours for 4 years and still working. We found in the summer to leave the cover off, because the water would turn green in a couple days. I found an easy way to clean the filters is to put them in the tub with some unscented bleach and turn the bubbles on for the cycle. At the spa store there is a hand held vacuum for the bottom. You put your thumb over the hole in the end then when the nozzle is on bottom release your finger and it sucks the scummy stuff out, then just pull out and the water comes out and debris stay in the tube. I love my intex hot tub...
This was what I was thinking when watching the movie. 3D print the broken plastic pieces. That's what the printer is for, right? That is going to be an awesome video.
I've never used a 3D printer so forgive me. Is the resin/plastic the 3D printers use strong enough? If the factory ones broke, I would think a printed clip would be even less durable. Unless there is a fiber filled composite available.
I actually installed my 8 person hotub myself and I did the wiring and everything myself and I only had to replace a circuit in the tub 1 year later and it’s been running for 5 years (got it for 500$ off Craigslist) and haven’t had any problems
Yours came with hella more than mine i didnt get test kits a duffle bag a floor mat a plastic cover to protect the control panel etc..you are blessed Enjoy oh yea good friends to help too wow nice!
The gray tarp that has the bubbles is a solar cover used to trap in heat. The bubbles are meant to keep it from sinking in the water. We rarely see them for hot tbus at work, but put them on pools all the time.
I got a used one from my aunt. she wanted to get rid of it because it leaked water, I figured I could replace the hoses which I did with minimal difficulty. but when I filled it with air it slowly leaked, for the past month I have been filling it with air, and about a week later it has deflated, I have patched 3 holes so far and now it is deflated again. it develops pinhole leaks in all of the seams.
my family literally bought this and i set it up. later that night i see posts on facebook of this being put together. its a very nice hot tub tho for especially for what it cost.

In parts of Brazil we have 220v default outlets, because the europeans did it. The rest of Brazil is 110v due to the american company that installed the network.
Don't blame the bubbles (machine or man-made), the temperature probably went down from the top being off of the hot tub. Also, the water stayed warm when the power was out because of the air between the inner and outer walls. It's a great insulator, just like in a thermos. Intex will wonder what caused the spike in sales after 6/20/17.
YEAH the bubbles.... It's an air pump pulling cooler air from outdoors. It will always cool it off to run them. And the air in the walls in this could act like a thermos except it's a horrible insulator. Even the manufacturer says with them having no insulation to not use these outside in the winter....
Great video man nice to see you back. From personal experience I think it would also be cool to get one of the portable canopies so it will have protection from leaves and bird poop. just a thought.
Dude first time I was here you wee fired from Microsoft then then 2nd time I was here you had crystals cutting up your legs and you couldn't walk. Now I'm. Back your back is all busted dammmmm wtf
I bought a Coleman tahiti used and it's amazing. Couldn't believe it! Best $200 I ever spent. No way your getting 4 people in it though 2 at the most for adults. I guess you could do 4 kids and that would work.
The one thing that next to no one tells you is these are NOT meant for colder climates. They have zero insulation and the heaters will kill over in days. My intex heater lasted a week in Oklahoma's winter and customer service said they aren't meant for freezing/ colder temps. SO this is pretty much a warmer weather tub. They are pretty neat other than that! **I realize he covered the pump burning out in cold weather and am glad he covered that. I'm just adding to it- it absolutely is a problem you WILL have in freezing temps.
My friend and his house mate had a floaty drink holder for theirs. It had a weight on the bottom that kept the floaty thing in place. Even with the jets on the drinks never spilled. :)
Now I might get this for my Florida home. I don't need a lot of heat, I just want a place to soak. 120 v is perfect. No extra electrical. And it will be mostly for my personal use.
Stumbled across this channel and enjoyed this hot tub assembly. Looks like something I want/need and could do. The price certainly is right. Think I'll stick around to see what else happens. New subscriber.

The entire thing fits in this bag but you will never get it back into that bag.
its like a tent, it seems like it would fit back into the bag but never will because you cant fold it that tight.
They must have some special machine at the tent factory to put the tents in the bags.
And every time the guy bags a tent with the special machine, he grins malevolently.
lmao true
you can actually get it back into a packing bag if you suck every last inch of air out of it

Now I might get this for my Florida home. I don't need a lot of heat, I just want a place to soak. 120 v is perfect. No extra electrical. And it will be mostly for my personal use.
I am pretty sure that if you sit in the hot tub it's only for two people rather than four
