I just bought one and setting it up tomorrow in the garage. I bought 1/2” rubber puzzle mats to go under it for added insulation and softness plus a soft surface that can be walked on and not slippery. I’m using canvas drop cloths to make drapes to hang up on two sides for my “She-Spa”! 😊

    • @brendab2323
      @brendab2323 Год назад

Be careful those rubber puzzle mats are very slippery, you DON'T need them to put under it anyway because it is very soft & squishy just with the bottom it has built in.

Get a door mat & a 5 gallon bucket & set the bucket on the mat beside the hot tub. Fill the bucket about half way with water & just dip your feet in it to get any sand or dirt off your feet before you get in the tub.

I bought a goplus for 300 bucks and love it. But the heater shuts down on it's own after 3 days. I'm guessing this is a safety feature to save the heater from burning out. Problem is, I have to plan ahead of time when to turn heater back on (20-24 hrs), before water will get to temp to use it. Ideally, it should be designed to shut down once it reaches thermostat temp, and turn back on if it drops below set temp.

Thanks for this video... super helpful and informative. We're trying to do our research, too, just like you recommended. I'm really concerned about the heat aspect of these tubs; it's the most important feature for us. I have fibromyalgia and need that heat for chronic pain relief. Does the temp drop more, when more people climb in? What about if just one person is using it? And do the jets cause the temp to drop? (I apologize.... I think you might have already answered that last one). Lastly, do you think that the temp issue would be different if this was set up indoors, such as in a basement? Thanks for sharing your insight; yours is one of the more helpful videos I've found.

Great video, Yak. As a hack, I was wondering how something would work.
You know they have these inserts where you can make any bathtub into a jacuzzi tub. If you got one of those devices and you used it in this hot tub, you could keep the main device from having to pull double-duty by blowing bubbles and being a heater. That might help it maintain temperature better. What do you think?

Not recommended for temp lower than 50 degrees outside. We live in San Diego and the cost of electricity per month is about $30 to $40 more with the pump and heater running constantly. In cooler months the cost can go higher. We covered ours with blankets and insulated the bottom of the tub for extra insulation which really helped keep costs down. These pumps usually will last for one or two years of continual use but then the impeller shaft breaks and the parts are not available. So if you get more that two years of use on the pump you are lucky. The new pump costs around $150 since parts are no available unfortunately. The filters are washable and reusable for around a month before replacement. They cost around $4. There is a You Tube showing you how to repair the impeller shaft pin with a piece of welding rod to replace the impeller shaft pin when it breaks.

I agree, best thing I EVER bought got mine for $250 @ Costco @ Christmas time last year (finally set it up 3 weeks ago) I have sat in it every single night for an hour & LOVE IT!
(I'm actually taking it on a two-week camping trip tomorrow it's worth it to pay the extra $10 a night for water and power just to be able to have my hot tub there sitting under a gazebo outside my tent. I'mma be the talk of the campsite. LOL
But mine's called the Saluspa Laguna (same thing) Coleman partnered with Bestway. The ONLY difference between yours an mine is mine ONLY has one filter @ the bottom, then right above that it has a little area to screw in bromine tablets, then above that there is a little overflow screen. The one thing I was going to ask is do your jets come from a ring around the bottom outer edges or do they come out from the sides & middle because yours looks like the jets come up from the center or halfway up the sides. 🤔

Do you find that the second filter (the one farthest from the pump/heater) doesnt work as well as the one closest to the pump?

Sounds like alot of fun....That's all you need for vacation breaks. The bigger they get the more work you have to putin to in and it just ends up taking away from the fun...

I have a 2nd full bathroom I am renovating and was going to get rid of the shower. This might be our new inhouse spa? I can use it all winter inside the house here where it gets down into the minus 20 temps. In the Spring/Fall/Summer I can put it on the back deck. Fuck it maybe we'll get 2?

It appears that the heater only turns on and off manually. Anybody know? Directions say it turns off when 1 degree over and turns back on when it is 2 degrees under set temp. I can't figure it out. Other then that, I LOVE this tub!!! Not happy about it not staying hot unless I manually turn it on.

I just got the saluspa. How did you verify the lazy and saluspa are the same? The lasy one is supposed to be able to be a salt system. Do you think the saluspa is too? The only thing I didn't like were the lack of directions. I just bought some bromine tablets to use in mine. Do you know if the little gray screw caps need to stay on the filters or come off to filter? I agree it's the coolest thing ever for $350! I've also got mine under the porch. Thanks!

what kind of chlorine do you use to put in the hot tub? I was looking on Amazon to get the SaluSpa Hawaii 71-Inch x 26-Inch 6 Person Outdoor Inflatable Hot Tub Spa with Air Jets, Pump, 2 Filter Cartridges, and Tub Cover, Navy. I've been experiencing alot of back pain, and been sore. So I thought I just get one of my own, but a little hesitant to purchase one of these for the backyard. And thank you again for taking the time to make the video of the hot tub!

I wonder if you could get it to be heated to a 100 degrees in a Michigan winter? We were looking at regular hot tubs but don’t wanna pay $5,000 to buy it, another grand or so to install 220v and the hassle of moving it and grating out the back yard...🤔

Did your hot tub come with a pressure pump gauge? I see them in the Bestway or Coleman videos, but mind did not have any pressure gauge when I got it. The manual says to inflate the tub X 5 minutes and the lid for 2 minutes. Just trying to find out if it is supposed to have this pressure gauge or not. Thanks.

We got this hot tub today for Christmas. It has a pressure gauge to keep from over inflation. No worries but it did not take 5 min to inflate.

Thanks for this in depth review. I saw the intex and now seeing the Coleman. However I can't find any hot tubs for under 1k, even checked Walmart. Perhaps one day they will show up again.
