      I am using AutoLink AL519 OBDII Scanner. You were asking how do I know when to replace MAF Sensor. If you have CEL (check engine light) and found MAF is faulty after scanning, I advise try to clean it first, then install it back and start the engine. If you found same issue then it’s time to replace the faulty MAF sensor

      Yes po Sir advisable po na mag-relearn para maibalik sa dating setting. Yung iba hindi na nagre-relearn although okay naman daw.

    sir nag relearn po ako sa everest 2011 ko.. tama lang po ba na hindi na sya umakyat ng 2500rpm? hanggang 2000rpm pang sya tapos bumaba na sa idle.. salamat

      Siguro same process din Sir. Ganyan din kasi ang process na ginagawa ng mga kasamahan namin sa club. Ilang ulit din akong nag-try hangga umabot yata ng pang 7 try saka palang naging successful ang relearn sa Eve 2010 namin.

    Hello sir, ask ko lang halos kasi nakikita ko na 09 everest ummabot ng 5k rpm kahit naka park. Saakin kasi umaabot lang ng 3.5k rpm. Map sensor po ba need linisin?

      Same tayo Sir 3.5K rpm lang kayang maabot. siguro po kailangan mo maglinis ng Intake manifold, EGR, Throttle valve at turbo. Isama mo jandin ang MAP at MAf Sensors. Ang eve namin kapag idiniin ko pa ang apak para nasayad na yung turbine blade (not sure ano na tawag doon) ng turbo.
      Hindi po MAP Sendor yan. Kapag faulty ang MAP Sensor mahina ang hatak at ang maximum speed lang na kaya ay 80kph.

    Hi. I am from India i use the same model called Endeavour. I had issue with turbo charger actuator door, i serviced and installed the turbo again. After that car is even more sluggish and check engine light pops out and on obd scanner it shows MAF sensor. Should i relearn the MAF sensor as because my battery was disconnected for more than a day.
    If i disconnect the maf sensor and drive the veichle is good.
    My question is should i relearn it or should i buy new one

      If the CEL (check engine light) is still showing, try to clean the MAF Sensor. If the CEL still showing after the cleaning of MAF Sensor, it means you have a faulty MAF sensor. I advise you to buy a new MAF and replace the faulty sensor. You can relearn the new MAF Sensor after installation.

      @@theamateurdiy-personalexpe9299 my Maf sensor was good with bad turbo, there was no CEL before, once turbo has been serviced and fixed, i face this issue. Once i plug in sensor the veichles smokes like anything and doesnt boost. If i remove the sensor the veichle moves freely.

      Then you have a bad or faulty MAF Sensor. Your OBD scanner also proved that MAF was the caused of the CEL.

      Identified the issue. Its not with any other sensors. When i disconnect the vaccum pipe from turbo, the car moves Freely and reaches good speed and no CEL lights. Once i conncect the vaccum pipe no boost, black smoke, no pickup, CEL lights comes again. Now what is the issue.

      When you fixed your Turbo Actuator, did you test it if it actuate? When you have a faulty turbo actuator, the effects are: 1) you will have a check engine warning lights, 2) your car will have a complete loss of power, 3) You have low- or over-boost, meaning either your vehicle is lagging or overcompensating when you accelerate.

    Hello po. Tatanong lang. Nagpa EGR, at turbo cleaning na pero mahina pa rin humatak. Nadaan namaj sa expressway dati before ipalinis umaabot rin naman 100kmh di naman hirap. Pero pag dumadating po ng 40kmh pag apak sa accelerator eh bigla bigla siya hahatal ng malakas. Ano po kaya possible problem?

      Biglang hatak kapag abot ng 40KPH? Kailan po kyo last nagpalit ng throttle valve /body Sir? Try nyo po magpalinis ng throttle valve/body. Kung hindi ubra, palinis ka ng MAF/MAP Sensors at palit ng Fuel Filter.

      @@theamateurdiy-personalexpe9299 yes po pagdating 40KPH pag gusto ko mag accelerate bigla bigla siyang hahatak parang mag hesitate umarangkada tas hahatak bigla parang ganun po. Regarding sa throttle body hindi ko sure kasi lumang family car namin to and sure ako na di nila matatandaan na huling palit ng throttle body nung parents ko sala sila list ng napaayos or napagawa po eh haha. Nagpapalit na rin po ako ng mga air at fuel filter recently nung June lang tas yunf EGR, Turbo, at Timing belt nung July lang po napalinis at napalitan.

      @fritzzapie try nyo po ipalinis muna ang throttle valve/body Sir. Baka nga madumi na at nadikit na tapos bubukas nalang bigla kapag madiin na ang apak mo sa accelerator pedal dahil na din sa biglang higup ng maraming hangin to mix with fuel na kailangan engine sa specific speed. Isa sa maraming sanhi ng hesitation ay insufficient supply of fuel at air to have a proper combustion.

    Hello ka FEC nagkaron po ako ng p0107 and p2227 error code, ginawa ng mechanic replace air filter and clean MAF sensor, na clear nmn po ung code, pero every 20mins of driving umiilaw ung engine light, thank you in advance

      Sir hindi talaga mawawala ang CEL (Check Engine Ligth) kasi MAF Sensor ang nilinis. Dapat MAP Sensor sana. Ang P0107 ay para sa Manifold Absolute Pressure at P2227 ay Barometric Pressure which is same lang. Ipalinis mo ang MAP Sensor ni Eve mo Sir. Kung may CEL parin after cleaning baka faulty na at kailangan mo ng magpalit ng MAP
      Ganyan din kasi ang lumabas na TDC ng Eve namin noon ng nag-scan ako dahil nga may CEL, 80KPh Max lang kaya nya noon. Nagpalit ako ng MAP at nawala ang CEL at balik sigla ang Eve namin.

      Para sa akin Sir reliable po kasi 15 years (Model 2009) ko ng gamit yang Everest namin simula ng nabili ko ng brand new. Basta PMS lagi every 6 months. Common issue, wala naman, kaya lang syempre mga wear and tear na parts dapat laging i-check para kung kailangan ng palitan dapat palitan na. Sa 15 yrs na gamit ko yang car namin, ang major na napalitan ko dyan ay una yung radiator, nag-crack na kasi yung plastic sa ibabaw dahil sa katagalan na. Ikalawa, yung vacuum pump, nag leak kaya palit O-Ring. Pangatlo, nagpalit na din ako ng MAP Sensor, brakes at syempre yung mga gulong. Yun lang po Sir, basta alagaan lang ng tama para kunti lang maging issue.

      Sir mayron po akong isang video kung paano magpalit ng bulb sa likod (title: diy how to remove tail light). Hanapin mo nalang sa list ng videos ko. Yung sa harap wala pa akong nagawang videos later nalang siguro kasi busy pa sa work.
      Maki-join ka sa “Ford Everest Classics” may mga post yata doon kung paano magpalit ng head lights at parking lights. Yung parking lights dinudukot sa tabi ng gulong. Tanggalin lang yung cover ng mad guard.

      Sir kapag tinanggal ang MAP at MAF Sensor or kahit alin man sa dalawang yan, kailangan daw mag-relearn para bumalik sa dating setting ang idle ng car natin. Ibang tawag dyan ay Idle Relearn or Idle re-setting. Kung hindi ma-relearn after na matanggal ang MAP or MAF sensor magiging erratic ang Idle ng car natin.

      Good day Sir. Ano pong year model ang Everest nyo at gaanon kadalas magpa pms?
      Ito mga kadalasan sanhi ng black smoke lalo na kapag may kalumaan na ang xar natin.
      1) Hindi regular ang pagpa-pms. Dapat every 6 months (or 10kms) palit engine oil syempre kasama na dyan ang oil filter, palit Air Filter.
      2) madumi na MAP Sensor - check mo din baka need ng linisan ang MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor ng Eve nyo.
      3) madumi na MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor - check mo din baka need na din linisin.
      4) check mo mga injectors baka may mal-function na din.
      5) check nyo din po ang EGR Valve, check nyo din po baka hindi na nagana at need ng linisan.
      Yan po mga basic na maging sanhi ng black smoke. At maraming pang iba like ang Turbocharger. Kapag nagkaroon ng oil leak magkakaroon din ng black smoke. Ito pa, Worn out Piston Rings…marami pa po. Pero unahin nyo munang i-check yung basic nabanggit ko from 1 to 5.

      Tama po Sir, 2014 model yung last model na may reserbang gulong sa likod tulad ng 2010 namin. Yung 2018 na Eve namin nasa ilalim na ang reserba na gulong.

      As per Manual ng Ford Everest Sir ang pagpalit ng TB ay every 120,000Kms. Pero base naman po naman sa mga experience mechanic, dapat daw every 80,000Kms palit na ng TB.

      Para sa akin Sir, mas mainam kapag mag-change ATF ka, palit Filter ka na din. Yun din naman kasi ang recommended sa lahat ng cars na may Automatic Transmission. Matagal naman napapalitan yan hindi katulad ng Oil Filter na during PMS.

      Relearning is the other term or meaning of resetting. In short, the purpose is to put the system back to its original setting. We do this every time we remove/replace instruments like MAP / MAF Sensors and others.
