In truth, a fight between Batman and Captain America has happened before, WAY BACK when Marvel and DC had their VS. Event back in the 90's; if I recall, it was a stand still if no clear winner, as both were just that good at hand to hand combat
In the comic series Marvel vs. DC, Batman did indeed fight Cap and win using similar tactics to this, though neither wanted to fight each other since the situation was manipulated to pit them against each other.
These 2 fought in the Marvel/DC crossover back in the 90's. After several panels of back and forth punching and kicking they 2 of them were overtaken by a torrent of water I think. Cap was somehow knocked unconscious by the deluge but Batman managed to stay conscience and saved Cap. After Cap woke up the 2 of them essentially called a truce and agreed to stop fighting.
I love Batman, my favorite comic book hero second only to the Hulk. But unless he has some serious stuff set up ahead of time and gets him to walk right into a trap, there's no way he's taking Captain America 1 on 1...
