That whole monster sequence with Saw Gerrera was a bit odd and pointless tho. Didnt seem to change Bodhi's mannerisms n make him lose his mind or something. Didnt really get that.

The LEGO Star Wars Holidays Special is actually good, and it's a better ending for the whole saga than Episode IX (Even if it is obviously not canon, it's a very funny and interesting ending)

I think I'd go with: S - Revenge of the Sith (can rewatch it any day, love Haydens performance in this one). A - The Last Jedi (don't care what people think, it's a beautiful and amazing movie) and A New Hope (classic with a solid story). B - Empire and Return of the Jedi (both are solid, the Ewoks are creepy tho) and then Rogue One and Solo (Really solid movies and real fun to watch). C - Attack of the Clones (was fun in a few parts, but the CG has aged poorly) and also Phantom Menace (it's ok but lacks action). D - Force Awakens (liked it the first time I saw it but was bored out of my mind seeing it a second time, only good part is Han Solos scenes). E - Rise of Skywalker (unplanned and rushed, felt like bad fanfic) and also the Clone Wars movie (not bad, just boring as hell).
It’s interesting like Jen, I’m fairly new to the Star Wars franchise and we pretty much ranked the movies roughly the same. People rant and rave about “Rogue One” but even I didn’t find it all that enjoyable to watch. Likewise the sequel trilogy I really enjoyed, where as people who grew up with the original trilogy all seem to hate the newer movies. It goes to show nostalgia plays a HUGEEE factor in the way certain movies are perceived. People live and die by the originals and won’t accept the newer movies. Look at the reception the prequels got when they first released.. They were absolutely crucified and now people seem to love them. The same thing will happen with the sequels, once a few more trilogies/movies are made people will warm to the “older” movies over the next 10 years or so.

I physically can not watch rise of skywalker again. I watched it and theaters and never again. Like jen, I hated the rey and kylo romance. But unlike her, it ruined the movie for me. I like the rest of the sequel trilogy but rise of skywalker just pains me to watch

It deeply troubled me when Star Wars and Return of the Jedi were below Revenge of the Sith and on the same level as Phantom Menace and Rise of Skywalker... It's okay, everyone has their own opinions! I would ask though, if it's possible, you guys should watch the original trilogy again, but the theatrical versions.

Such a funny video. Holden, you are a great storyteller. You could summarize the entire franchise in minutes! Heck, who am I kidding, we all could. I think you were a little leading in your description on that Kanto Bite description, but you certainly be forgiven for that. Jen, you really made Holden a happy man when you said you “geeked out” watching clips of “Revenge of the Sith”. You two are a trip. Good on you both!!!

My take, being an OG fan, or Old Guard, having seen every movie in theater since the summer of 1977: Episodes III, IV, V, VI and The Mandalorian - S Episodes II, VII, Clone Wars, and Rogue One - A Episodes I, IX, and Rebels - B Solo - D Episode VIII - One Zillion negative F's Actually, there's not a system that can accurately rate how bad Episode VIII truly was. Jake Skywalker was the whiniest, most depressing character in the film.
What? Episode 1 better than Episode 2... Noway. Lol. That was a surprise. I would have put Episode 3 and Episode 5 on S. episode 2,, 6 and 7 on A. I did like episode 7. Rouge one is a B and so is Episode 1. Solo i think is a d. And Episode 9 is an E. And episode 8 don't get a grade at all. Really didn't like it Haven't seen the holid ay special, and clone wars movie is a C.

So regarding Anakin killing the younglings, it's a hugely important moment. That's when he fully embraces becoming Darth Vader. He can find a way to justify turning on Mace and storming the temple. He can convince himself that Mace never trusted him, that the Jedi were all about secrets and lies. But when it comes to the younglings, yes they're young Jedi in training but they're still innocent. There's no justification for killing them. Thus it becomes a choice. For Anakin, killing the younglings will bring him the power of the Dark Side, the power he needs to save his wife. Is gaining that power more important to him than the lives of these children? Once he decides it is, once he decides that the power is the most important thing then he's willing to do anything, truly anything, no matter how horrible, to get that power. And then having made that choice, if you gain the power to cheat death, what else can you do? Maybe you can change the whole galaxy, bend the universe to your will? You're the one with the power, you're the one who knows what's right. You can make things better, make things the way you think they should be and anyone who gets in your way is obviously in the wrong and must be shown the error of their ways or be eliminated. And when your own wife turns against you, well she needs to be made to understand. You don't want to hurt her but it's the only way, you can't let her betray you. The greater good of your rise to power is all that matters. That's what it means to fall to the Dark Side. You start off with what seems like a selfless goal, to save the person you love, but you become truly selfish and greedy and paranoid, consumed by your desires and your fear.

96% of Rebels is everything they don’t like about CW. There’s some good moments stuck in there, but I think overall it’d be a waste for them

It deeply troubled me when Star Wars and Return of the Jedi were below Revenge of the Sith and on the same level as Phantom Menace and Rise of Skywalker... It's okay, everyone has their own opinions! I would ask though, if it's possible, you guys should watch the original trilogy again, but the theatrical versions.
rogue one and clone wars need to be at A, the return of the Jedi should be god tier, and the rise of Skywalker should be much lower.

Actually, there's not a system that can accurately rate how bad Episode VIII truly was. Jake Skywalker was the whiniest, most depressing character in the film.

So regarding Anakin killing the younglings, it's a hugely important moment. That's when he fully embraces becoming Darth Vader. He can find a way to justify turning on Mace and storming the temple. He can convince himself that Mace never trusted him, that the Jedi were all about secrets and lies. But when it comes to the younglings, yes they're young Jedi in training but they're still innocent. There's no justification for killing them.
Thus it becomes a choice. For Anakin, killing the younglings will bring him the power of the Dark Side, the power he needs to save his wife. Is gaining that power more important to him than the lives of these children? Once he decides it is, once he decides that the power is the most important thing then he's willing to do anything, truly anything, no matter how horrible, to get that power.
And then having made that choice, if you gain the power to cheat death, what else can you do? Maybe you can change the whole galaxy, bend the universe to your will? You're the one with the power, you're the one who knows what's right. You can make things better, make things the way you think they should be and anyone who gets in your way is obviously in the wrong and must be shown the error of their ways or be eliminated. And when your own wife turns against you, well she needs to be made to understand. You don't want to hurt her but it's the only way, you can't let her betray you. The greater good of your rise to power is all that matters. That's what it means to fall to the Dark Side. You start off with what seems like a selfless goal, to save the person you love, but you become truly selfish and greedy and paranoid, consumed by your desires and your fear.
