Why not just… yknow, tame it, i mean. 10 minutes is although long enough, why not just make it permanent? I get it its stats decrease by a huge margin when tamed but its still something.

I believe Gigantopithecus has to have been a pack leader to be tameable? Normally what you do is kill its pack, then damage it, then it'll try to flee and you can passive tame it. (For those looking to tame them outside of this sort of challenge, you will want to trap the leader in a stone box, because otherwise you're gonna be chasing it all through the redwoods and you will probably die fifteen different ways with how long it takes to tame a high-level one. Using a flier to lead them up a ramp and into a 2x2 box with 2-high walls works quite well. Probably also good to put yourself in a box during taming so you can't be ambushed by everything else that lives in the redwoods.)
The dodges in this video were insane. Like when those two reapers were firing on him in the water and that fire wyvern aggroing on him on the cliffs. I thought he was done for so many times.
what i would have done would probably try to steal a wyvern egg as soon as possible since well flight is great or possibly a griffin if i could find one because yeaaa sonic speed
Surely there's no reliable way to tame a gryphon with what little he's been able to throw together? The problem isn't finding things, it's taming them. I don't think a wyvern would work either, since in the time needed to, not just successfully get an egg, but get the milk to raise it and grow it to adulthood, the world's just going to turn into a mosh pit of death. They're both excellent tames, but they aren't something you can easily get, particularly not while the world is tearing itself apart.
@@SR-ck8gu try to get the griffin onto a rock pillar of some sorts or some lifted up area where dinos that would spawn around would have a problem getting up trap it and knock it then tame it can also put gates around to block dinos from getting in if done on flat ground why wyverns would be possible is wait around the wyvern trench for dinos to spawn and fall in with time the wyverns will get killed leaving the egg unguarded hardest part then is raising it
@@derby13214 Stone structures aren't unlocked until at least level 24, stone gates until 27. One problem with waiting for random spawns to kill the wyverns is that some of those random spawns will /be/ wyverns, and some of them will be far worse. The other problem is that it'll take way too long to be hanging around in one area.

I mean you could make a syringe bleed yourself and tame the bloodstalker it's insanely good movement and it's in a respawn zone so just bleed until death respawn and pick up the blood from your bag, if you can manage to tame a good giga you would be able to vs most things but you would need to hide out in a cave to smelt metal, also getting a bit of crystal if u see a crystal wyvern there's a little cave where the stream is in highlands has crystal

Yeah that happens sometimes when respawning if you've been in GCM previously in the same session. At the start I flew around in GCM to get the footage for the start of the episode before actually recording so that explains that. Obviously I wouldn't be cheating in a video like this, kinda defeats the point of it all and no wilds are dead nor any new items in my inventory so I couldn't have used the gun against anything or spawned stuff in. Plus I die and get reset anyway so even if I did cheat, what'd be the point?
