- I just got hold of a Messor (from Cosmotronic), which is my first compression module. For my first jam, I thought I should start with something classic - i.e. sidechaining the kick, bass and some of the pads. I wanted to use a 4/4 beat for this as I thought it'd be easier to learn what Messor is actually doing.
The kick and other drum sounds are samples on Squid. The chords are from cizzle, going through Three Sisters, Non-linear Memory Machine and the Variable Q band pass (they are also sampled in Morphagene and played back at a slower speed, which is what you hear at the start). The bass is from the TZ-VCO from Klangbau Koln.
I hope it sounds ok!
Wow! Amazing work flow👏🌛🌠🌜💨💨🌀🌀
Thanks so much for the lovely comment 😊
Amazing❤
Thanks so much :)
Absolut in love with this. Great patch, great compression!
Thank you, Milan! I'm always very happy when you like my jams 😊
sounds sick! 🔊
Thanks so much :)
it sounds far more than ok man ! very subtle side chain pumping here, plus all those great ear candies, and as always a tasteful sense of arranging and sound design ! groovy and chill !
Thanks so much, man! Looking forward to hearing how you get on with your new comp :)
@@yassokiiba yeah for sure ! Will keep you posted 👊🏽✌🏽
Wonderful track! You always know how to turn even a fairly mainstream beat into a beautifully nuanced and richly detailed soundscape!
That's so kind of you to say. Thanks so much :)
Nailed the micro house vibe 🔥
Thanks so much!! :)
Well done! There are some sounds that you gave fabulous reverb to! They fit into the space very very well! Great Yassoooo!
Thank you so much, Maurizio. I'm glad you lied the reverb, too... it came from Mimeophon and Clouds this time.
You took a dance beat and turned it into a contemplative study of material and spatiality!
Such an amazing comment - thank you so much for listening so closely - as you always do... that's made my morning!
great catchy house tune an amazing combination of sounds
Thanks so much! :)
I'm always amazed by your videos Yasso but this one is even better thanks to the compression module addition!
Just lately I'm discovering eqs and compression/limiter importance compared to more immediate kind of effects such as delay or reverb..
Thank you so much for sharing! 👍
Thank you so much - that really means a lot!
yeah, I've just got round to thinking more about eq and dynamics. might need a scope at some point though - would be nice to know what's going on 🤣
@@yassokiiba 👍👍👍
