I carnt remember Harry Enfield being in it at the beginning, haven't watched this for years.
It started on ITV, then the BBC took it over from series 2 onwards.

@@safeashouses211 That's right; I know Neil Morrissey took up the role of 'Tony' from series two onwards, but I must have forgotten he was in series two on ITV before it moved.
Better from season 2 when Tony joins, season 4 onwards is epic

I love Harry Enfield, but he wasn’t right for this part personally. Tony made the program for me
See I told you this show is hilarious. And yeah it gets even funnier but the early seasons are still great.
When you get a chance you should give the first Blackadder series a chance. Yeah it’s weaker than the second series but it still has its moments.

Like others have said, I'll be following this closer when Tony joins - it picks up a bit as its a better duo.
Season one was garbage. Even Harry Enfield would agree with that that. Show goes to a completely different level once Tony comes in to replace his character.
If you like MBB Josh you check out Game On which was also a 90s sitcom. It was far superior to this imo and as for comedies about layabouts the early series of Not Going Out are well worth a try.

Yes, it gets much better from series 2 onwards. It started on the ITV channel, but it wasn't a success to continue, but the BBC took it up from series two, when Neil Morrissey took up the role of 'Tony' alongside Martin Clunes.

Hi, that's OK. A lot of the comments on this did suggest that the show gets better from series 2 onwards, so even though I replied to you, those comments might have helped. I'm not watching any of Josh's reaction videos to this first series; I'll wait until he reaches series 2, which someone has said he has reached series 3 on, Patreon'.

Harry Enfield is hilarious.. he was just bad in this show (to his own admission too! He's not really a sitcom guy)
People like you were telling Josh to not watch the early seasons of red dwarf. He did anyway and he loved it. And now he’s loving this. If you don’t find it funny anymore; then don’t watch Josh watching it! Don’t tell him not to watch it!

Honestly, I can never remember Harry Enfield been in this. You don't have to watch this you know, I don't think it aged very well personally.
Just the first series when it was on itv if I remember correctly.
He was in it before the BBC took it over.

@@yorkshireplumbing I only remember as my 11/12 year old brain was blown by the fact a tv show had changed channel and I only watched it cuz I liked Harry Enfield at the time.
Josh obviously thinks it did age well. He’s watching it and enjoying it, I’m re-watching it and enjoying it. If it’s no longer funny for you: Then don’t watch it.
Harry Enfield was a terrible choice for this, it really takes off in series two when he's replaced.
Harry Enfield decided to leave the show as it wasn't what he wanted to do, if he had stayed we'd have never had Tony.
