Def worth a look preferably not just their English songs bc they don’t have a ton to do with their three English songs but have a discography of 300+ songs that are all sick… so good

The name of song is "Daechwita" and it is not just a diss, it is so much deeper on psychological level and has so many historical references. Since you don't know his language and many things are lost in the translation i recommend you to check out explanation by Bookish theories to understand it. Agust D also explained this song - he said that king represents who he was and another name of king is anger. Black-haired guy represents who he is now. This song is about the conflict inside him and he talks about this subject in many songs

He was undeground rapper and producer before joining BTS. Right now he is respected producer and songwriter, who works not only with BTS, but with other artists too. You should check out his mixtapes Agust D and D-2, each has 10 tracks

A fun fact about this scene is that the scroll drawing of Bang PD has its origins in a sketch made by Jungkook. The King is unimpressed and has him captured whereas Agust D is equally unbothered and is headbanging to his own beat. It's the same video where he explained the concept and he told the story about the sword and how he always loved the idea of learning to use a sword and how he had it custom made but it was too heavy when they began practicing. So they had a lighter prop made to look exactly like the custom one. It was a very stripped back video. Just him sitting in a chair speaking.

Agust D aka Suga (his real name is Min Yoongi) is also a member of the biggest group in the world BTS (BTS debuted in 2013). Agust D is Suga spelled backwards and DT which stands for Daegu Town, Daegu the city where he grew up in South Korea. Daechwita (literally "great blowing and hitting") is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while marching.
This style of Korean military music is often used in the reenactment of the Guard Changing Ceremony at Seoul's Gyeongbok Palace, as well as in Deoksu Palace. Basically he has said he didn't direct the song to anyone in particular but if people feel it's about them that's their problem. Agust D/Suga has 2 solo mixtapes Agust D released in 2016 and D-2 released in 2020. Not to mention all the songs he has written and produced while being apart of BTS. BTS as a group have over 250 songs of various genres and subject matter. BTS have released 3 fully english songs over the past year Dynamite, Butter, and Permission To Dance. But these songs are very poppy and upbeat so if that's not your style maybe something Black Swan or Fake Love would be good to react to for BTS songs.

Suga of BTS) and I’m surprised that you just told me (your audience) to learn a lesson out from his verses.😁 I thought I’ll just pass by after checking on it reaction but I’m really glad you’ve pick something out as of a lesson. This is a GREAT first reaction, esp. to a culture you don't know, to a song that is a real challenge to understand at first. We all went through that, lol. I like what you said about languages. And yeah Suga does not rap about "Nonsense" you nailed that too. This is the first rap I have loved, so much meaning in all of their rap songs. In a nutshell (in my opinion) this was about when he got too big for his britches (King) he needed to get his feet back on the ground.
Other BTS rap songs you might like: The Last, Joke, Do You, Persona, Shadow, Daydream, and the 4 cyphers; but the best two might be Ugh! and Ddaeng but you really need to do them with the Explanation by a Korean from DKDKTV. They are good just to listen to but when you know what they really mean it is amazing.
BTS has a very wide range of genres (maybe a little too pop for my taste sometimes) but overall I like them better than any group or band I have ever seen in my life. Wait till you see them dance!!! For that, try Not Today or ON Kinetic Manifesto. I'll sub and watch for more, thanks!

Agust D is another name for Suga. The difference is that, Suga is his stage name in BTS. He debuted in 2013. As for Agust D is his other name as a solo artist outside BTS, debuted 3 years after Suga (while still in BTS). These 2 personas belong to a genius man name Min Yoongi, a 28 yo artist from South Korea. He's also a famous producer, if he produced for other artists he usually goes by the name "by SUGA". He's also known for his "Tongue Technology". He self produces, writes, & composes his own music. Even for his mv's, he got to be hugely involved in the making them.
& None of his track is specifically dissing anyone, he once said "If you feel offended by it then that's your problem." Not only his songs, but BTS's songs are mostly songs that have deeper meanings than what it seems like. They mostly produce songs that are very much socially conscious. So, why not check them out too. Just ask ARMY (BTS's fandom) in what type of genre u specifically look for, we'll provide 👍🏻

You have to check out explanation vids bc it’s just too much. And look at several too bc nobody explains everything and it’s all so fire. Daechwita (korean marching music typically to accompany a king) has crazy past and present themes, almost every line is in reference to korean culture and history. It’s a flex track, a diss, a jab at the korean music industry, and a bit of an insight into Min Yoongi’s past and current state of mental health. Please look into it!
I will just talk about my favourite line referring to Gwangae-gun, a prince and later king in the Joseon Dynasty (approx. 1400-1800) and the time period in which this MV was set. Yoongi just drops the line “Gwangae flow,” which is sick bc he’s basically saying he’s like Gwangae, which carries so much significance if you know the history. Gwangae was not the rightful successor, but was more worthy than his older brother, was a talented and practical politician, but went down in history as a tyrant until very recently (due to his leadership on the battlefield). He was eventually killed in a coup (also the theme in this music video).
Just like Min Yoongi he was a leader despite the lack of recognition, the rumours, the downplaying of his success, and everybody was out for his throat no matter how much he simply kept his head down and accomplished. Yoongi comes from an underground rap scene that immediately shunned him for becoming and Idol, and the Idol world looked down on him and BTS for not being your typical perfect and pretty Idol group, and not coming from a big 3 company (JYP, SM, YG) basically coming from rags. Which you probably don’t know is pretty much unheard of... to rise up in the Idol industry in Korea while coming from an unknown company. Let’s just say they had absolutely nothing handed to them, but on top of that got a ridiculous amount of pushback that most would crumble under. To this DAY. Despite, they kept their heads down, worshipped those who worshipped them (ARMY) and overcame all odds. Gwanghae flow lol

Daechwita (yes, the title of the song) is basically fanfare for the king, the kind of military-style music they would play when the king would leave the palace, to alert people the king was on his way. He's actually using that kind of music in the background of the song.

THEORY ABOUT DAECHWITA: Yoongi, as already mentioned, is part of the Yeoheung Min clan. On the quoted tweet, a k-army's comment was translated, about how the scars of the two Yoongi (blonde and dark) +are different, while the blonde has a scar that appears to be more recent, the brunette has a more 'healed' scar. What does that mean? It means that the TRUE KING is the dark-haired Yoongi, the blonde made this scar on himself to pretend to be the dark-haired one, and take the throne.

The scar is actually really meaningful, too. In traditional korean culture (and modern, to a certain extent), scars were considered a lower class thing because it meant they hadn't lived a pampered lifestyle. So in this context, on the face of a King, it symbolizes someone who wasn't raised with a silver spoon in his mouth, but rather, someone who worked hard and suffered a lot to get to the position he's in now. Which is a direct reflection of Yoongi's(Agust D's real name) real life. He struggled through poverty, starvation, social anxiety, depression, at least one suicide attempt and a brutal shoulder injury to even debut, and then in BTS they struggled through ostracization because of their small, scandal-ridden company, low budget, 7 members sharing a 1 bedroom dormitory, multiple discussions of disbandment, being cut out of music programs, and multiple death threats to multiple members to be where they are today. This song is an anthem to him and his achievements.

Title is daechwita. Means a music plays by a marching band using traditional wind and percussions when the King is out and about his palace. He produce his own songs. And scars is not real but he did the sword dance. Practiced it for 2 days.

The word Daechwita has a ton of historical references which even I am not entirely sure of but other than that it is a type of Korean music genre and he's saying "Daechwita Daechwita play it loud Daechwita" so I suppose he's talking about the music and the tune at the back is similar to the genre I think.. And the scar on his eye isn't real and when I saw it for the first time even I thought it was real but when I figured out that it was makeup I just went "damn props to the makeup artist"

He's a member of BTS, one of the rappers. He's known as Suga, alter ego is Agust D. There are 2 other rappers in BTS, named RM and J-Hope. You'll probably really like RM and JHope too. RM and Suga were underground rappers before BTS, and JHope was a hiphop dancer.
The 3 of them all have their own individual mixtapes, and also rap songs the 3 of them do together. If you want to get into BTS, I suggest going through their rap songs first. Their best rap song (in my opinion) is called Outro: Tear. There's no music video for it, but you can react to a lyric video of it (it also tells you who is rapping which part). AGUST D aka Suga from BTS. Thanks for reacting to our guy. I honestly would suggest you react to the rest of the songs on his mixtape D-2. It's only 10 tracks, and it was given as a gift to fans. One of my favorite tracks is "what do you think" but honestly I enjoyed the whole mix tape. Only the title track, Daechwita, has a MV, the others you can find lyric videos so you don't miss the lyrics. Please check out more of his stuff. BTS has 3 rappers so I would also suggest you check out their solo music too like RM's Joke and Do You, and Jhope's Hope World mixtape. Of course I would suggest you check out BTS but since you enjoyed this song I'll stick to suggesting their rap songs. BTS rapline songs I would suggest are Ddaeng, Ugh, Outro:Tear.

Daechwita is a traditional Korean style of music which would play when the king was out and about, or when armies marched.
His name is pronounced like August, as far as I know and AGUST D is Daegu Town Suga. Daegu is where Suga is from and is also the name of the underground hip hop group he was in before joining Big Hit.
Suga, if you don't know, is one of three rappers from bts and is an accomplished songwriter and producer.
Also, the scar is fake... it's something from history... like to be king, you couldn't have any physical deformities which includes scars, so for him to be a king despite that is a flex or something.... bookish or dkdktv explained it better...

If you are a little confuse Min Yoongi is the real name of Agust D (his name when the song is a solo of him) and Suga (his name as a Bts member)
Agust D, aka Suga (BTS), aka Min Yoongi (real name), does deep often very emotional lyrics - I see that some other commenters have provided some of the explanation for this MV. This was my entry to BTS, I was stunned by this MV, it is a flat out masterpiece one of the best I've ever seen. If you like rap, you'd probably enjoy many of his other tracks off his mixtapes. You might also enjoy his work with BTS - he has several excellent solo BTS pieces (my fav First Love, but also SeeSaw and Interlude:Shadow - you might start with the Shadow MV). He is an exceptional producer as well, he collabs with others and he does a lot of the beat/music work for a number of the BTS songs (as well as all of it for his solo work). You should also check out the full BTS rap line, IMO they are the best in the world in terms of lyrics and word play. I'd put them in the top tier rappers as well. There are two others in the BTS rap line - RM (aka Kim Namjoon) and J-Hope (aka Jung Ho-seok). So many of their rap pieces are worth your time - some of my favs - all 4 of the Cyphers (if you can, the live performances are absolutely insane - in fact, it is impressive how much better BTS and all the members are live given how amazing they are recorded)., Ugh!, ddaeng, and Outro:Tear (the most beautiful rap ever. I listen to this every single day). I also love RM's solos (particularly Joke, Persona, and his mixtapes, but also his collabs - Change with Wale and Don't with eAeon are amazing and show some of his versatility). J-Hope's Daydream and Outro: Ego, as well as his Blue Side, are on my Obsess Much? play list as well. I don't know your taste, but if you want more tailored suggestions, just talk about what you like on your next Agust D/BTS reaction and in my experience you'll get tons of great recommendations from Army. Army is one of the most helpful fandoms I've experienced.
