Hell yheee
if you're having issues with the villagers:
DO NOT LOG OFF OF YOUR WORLD WHEN DOING THIS PROCESS, OTHERWISE LEADER WILL CHANGE (takes about 2.5 - 3.5 hours)
1. when you get 7 chunks away, get 2 villagers and breed them until there are 21 non green coat villagers
2. near the villager chamber, make sure there's a platform big enough for 20 villagers and their beds
3. bring one at a time, LEADER FIRST, this way you won't need a guard rail
4. when you bring the leader to his spot, place a workstation near him. The leader is always the first one to link to a workstation, this will help the leader not change
5. obvious one, but PLACE TORCHES, and place the bed one block in front of torch when transferring. You can place a block above the torch so the villager will have no choice but to move forward. If you're efficient enough you can get 4 villagers per minecraft night.
then you can keep following the video
BOOST THIS COMMENT SINCE THIS WILL HELP A LOT TRUST ME
Does it still work?
@@L_Taker0 i mean it's extremely hard to do, you need to really make sure that all the villagers link to a bed when going into the chamber or else iron golems won't spawn, I still haven't finished the farm since the villagers wouldn't link to the beds. You just learn from your mistakes, but I can't really help with this question
@@ajpj10 I fully built 1 of the 4 iron farms but there’s no cat or iron golems spawning in the right area, they only spawn when there’s a platform near the leader of the village. Any fix you know of?

I have just recently finished this farm in 1.20 survival on a realm, it is amazing. Took me over 30 hours over 4 days and a few failed attempts, but with the help of some comments and a lot of patience, I was able to complete it. Now that I have a few double chests of iron, I can say it was well worth it :D

I built this farm last night and can confirm it’s working 100 %.thanks Silent !
Edit (18/01/2022): Minecraft has a really bad glitch where mobs randomly despawn, meaning they randomly disappear from your world for no reason. I imagine when you have many villagers in this game, the glitch is likely to occur. Therefore, if you want to build an iron farm now, I would find a different tutorial for a smaller iron farm. Because if you lose a villager, then you will think you broke the farm or built it wrong, and waste a lot of time trying to figure out what happened, when in reality you did nothing wrong and the game is just screwing you over. With that being said, if you don't mind this, and you are more confident than Dwayne Johnson at a movie ceremony, then by all means carry on reading.
Bedrock 1.18: I can confirm that the farm still works! A few notes:
•You only need 1 platform per farm, as of 1.18, because iron golems will ONLY spawn on the highest platform in the village. The platform must also be within five blocks of the centre of the village, and I recommend building 5 blocks above the surface of the world to avoid any inconsistencies in the iron golem spawning.
•Having 2 platforms will not break your farm, so if you prefer to follow the tutorial block by block then by all means do so. However, it will take you much longer to complete this mega-project if you choose to build the bottom platform for no reason.
•Make a 2-blocks thick container of glass so that your village leaders do not fall outside of their platforms. For the actual iron golem farm, the cubicles are fine with being one block thick, so dont let that confuse you. I did this so that the village leader does not fall outside and then die to a zombie/ a creeper/ any hostile mob.
•You don't actually have to be within chunk borders, as long as you count your chunks as 16 blocks, starting AT THE SPAWNING PLATFORM instead of the wall, you are fine. If you decide to count 16 blocks away from the WALL then that is fine, nothing will happen.
•Build this in creative. I cannot tell you how it will feel, but the foresight of knowing how to build your farm before you do it in survival is the best feeling in the world.
•When building the farm, the process will not break during daytime. Night time is just so that the villagers walk by themselves to the spawning area instead of you pushing them one by one. However, you HAVE TO make the initial villagers walk to their beds along those bridges, as this technique stops the villages from mixing together. The portals are also a MUST, otherwise you will hate yourself and wonder why you didnt bring the villagers from the nether.
•To be EXTRA safe, I like to wander ~500-800 blocks away from any beds, villages or bells. This is because Bedrock edition is super inconsistent.
•Check, by using the bell, that the leader hasn't swapped, every time you bring in a new villager from the nether. It just so happened to me that my villager leader swapped when I spawned in a new villager. You can fix this by killing the new "Village Leader" and checking that the "Village Leader" role went back to the original, correct villager by checking with the bell.
•COUNT how many villagers are in each cubicle. Each farm has exactly 20 villagers, so if you are missing one, then the max number of golems that can spawn is 1.
•The village leader DOES NOT go in the cubicles.
•Do not kill the village leader until all farms have been built. This is so that the villages do not mix right when you think you are done! Someone may want to test this in creative, however.
•Building the checkerboard pattern is REALLY, SUPER DUPER helpful. Because you can line things up super nicely.
•If you look at each platform as a mathematical trapezium, then I made my spawning platform one block smaller in the height dimension. So when it came to placing all the water buckets, the water lined up fairly well in the middle, although i still needed to extend the water from the sides and do the back row as well. I did this to minimise the risk of villages mixing. You do not have to make the width any smaller, however. So, the spawning platforms should still share one wall like in this tutorial.
•mobs spawning needs to be on for iron golems and cats to spawn. You can be in hard mode and accidentally have mob spawning turned off. Especially because the slime are annoying in superflat.
I hope this didnt confuse anyone, the rates are really good with this farm, and having it quad-stacked is really efficient for just 1 hour of farming. However, Bedrock edition isnt very good for building MEGA-PROJECTS, since the game mechanics are so bugged and inconsistent.
Where do i put the beds?
@@carlosbrianalvero1645 Put them 3 or 4 blocks above the platform you built, but it has to be positioned like in the tutorial.

after watching his video on fixing broken iron farms where he explains how the farms work I reccomend anyone building this farm bring 21 villagers right away and shuffle them over to the farm, which he does with 3 villagers, but whenever a new villager is brought into the village there's a high chance that the leader of the village will also change, its a bit more work but you need drastically less villagers. I'm not sure if there will be linking problems, I dont think so but there's a chance.

Highly recommend using minecarts and rails. Using trapdoors under the nether portal so the villagers fall into a small enclosure, you can easily get all of the villagers into minecarts. You may need to use waterstreams to push the villagers into the minecarts from the enclosure (using trapdoors under a 2 tall space will make it so they can't get through, but you can.)
Using a long minecart line, you can easily narrow out the leader, give them all beds and workstations. You can just push the leader to the cross and make him link to a bed there. Then, you can just break all the other beds and break 4 of the workstations, then place them into the walls of the glass chamber. Breaking the 4 unemployed villagers will make them run in even during the day cause they'll reconnect to the workstations.
Still a pain
As of Minecraft bedrock 1.18, it still works. It gives a LOT of iron, some string, flower and inks from glow squid
thank you

ATTENTION ALL PEOPLE STRUGGLING. I have been running tests on this farm, you don’t need the bottom layer AT ALL, instead make a pipeline or a shoot to just go straight to the hoppers. Lastly fix is the part where people have items stuck in water. Instead of going eight temporary blocks in the water cut it down to four and it makes the perfect stream. To all the people saying this farm is not working, it is. The part you most likely messed up if you built this is the villagers.
Did you build this recently as of 1.19 or did you build it prior to 1.19? I’m having trouble with village leaders shifting once new villagers come thru portal. I was wondering if the update changed something with village leaders.

Its actually 6 blocks that works for me

Does this work if we build this in the air? I saw one of his streams a year ago when he had a guardian farm/slime farm/squid farm and he built this in the air and wanted to know if it still worked. Also, since spawning of golems changed ik we build the top layer but i was wondering where do we put the beds, on the top of the bottom?
Version 1.19.60:
Just built this and it is working. I had to bring my villagers over a little differently than how silent did it, but its working for me.
Here's what I did:
-Breed all 21 villagers in the for each of the farms and put them in the far chunks.
-Do the 1st three villagers exactly how Silent did it. (Choose the second and third villagers by placing two more fletching tables down and seeing which ones become fletchers.)
-Add a long rail to the path you made
-Set one fletching table In The Cell to find out which villager to grab.
-Break that villager's bed and bring that villager over via a minecart.
- Place their new bed in the correct position and let them pathfind into their cells.
One thing: I haven't seen any Iron Golems spawning on the lower platform of any of the farms. I have to imagine that's slicing rates but this is still so fast that it doesn't affect me personally.
Thanks Pekoneko and Silent
EDIT: I've confirmed that you do not need to build the bottom platform ever since the golem spawning rules changed

@@a240vtoaster3 you can mark 16x16 but that doesn’t mean you actually have a chunk, you don’t know where a chunk starts and stops very easily in bedrock
@@frostylight1232 i build farms on xbox.divide your x and z coords by 16. if you get whole numbers for both you have the bottom right of a chunk corner. once you have a single chunk bordered you cant just count 16 off of it to draw out the others. Getting the villagers will be quite tedious in survival, but worth it in the end! Thank you, and thank you Pekoneko117!
THIS FARM STILL WORKS IN AND ON 1.17 WORLDS BUILD IT PEOPLE IT IS STUPID FAST AND YOU GET SO MUCH IRON YYYEEEESSSS SILENT YOUR THE BEST I LOVE YOU
Sorry may I ask if the farm still works later as are there some changes to villagers as shown in the Java snapshot which will come to bedrock soon?
Please 12 stack I want to build a massive storage system and need lots of hopper and iron. Love the vid btw
Today's update: Villagers will no longer sleep on the floor then float off to the horizon. Huzzah!
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME LOLLL
As they should
does this farm still work?
@@Fearlesssnake93 Ye I think it should work
DerpyBird alrighty, just planning on building this in a survival realm. So I just don’t want to waste the time and resources if it doesn’t end up working out lol
So what i currently have is 2 working platforms as in golems are spawning on them and 2 platforms that are only spawning cats. Im pretty sure it is 4 distinct villages because when i put down a bell on each of the pods only the ones in the pods have green particles when their respective bell is placed and each cell has one villager that has cloud particles when that bell is broken.
I am messing with it on a creative copy so the separated village leaders are on the outside of the farm on the original save if i need to do something with them.
PSA- Should work on the newest version but only build one layer as Golems now only spawn at the highest layer
a guy who posted 3 months ago commented it works fine so I’m going to trust him and silent on this… if i waste my time well i’ll come here and tell you that you were right

Can't wait to finish this in 2 years
thanks for including how many stacks a material is
i hate it when people are like: OH you need 1275 building blocks
If your in Minecraft 1.19 there’s a new mechanic for iron golems that they spawn at the tallest block possible so theoretically you only need to build one layer for this to work (this is just an idea)
Question, where can I make a breed chamber?
Is the 2 villagers(excluding the leader) can be used to make a breed chamber?
I have finished the farm in survival, but i have found an issue if you afk for long enough. Thunderstorms have turned one of my farms villagers into a pod of witches, not from striking from the top, no from hitting a block to either side of them. So im putting 2 filler blocks to keep the other 3 farms working, messing in a creative copy i could not find a way to rebuild the village, so ill end up making a 11 stack, hopefully this saves someone else's farm
We are now playing on 1.17 and we have the lightning rods .
Thank you for telling the issue so I can AFK without having any issues
Oh god. Now I have to build this.
If you understand the mechanics of how the linking works you dont need to move it that far just make sure your villagers are linked correctly but if you mess up which is very easy good luck fixing it kinda hard to do
Just built this! September 23 2022 still works in bedrock 🤓
Thank you silent! My understanding of stacking is growing. What other farms could you stack? Other than the raid farm. I also completed that one 🤓
For everyone having trouble with the leader on realms, the solution is to bring 21 villagers through all at once to the far portal and place 21 beds too. Then find the leader of them and bring 2 random villagers with it and do the process he does in the video
Once you finish the farm, can you update us on if it still works? Thanks!
I've been having trouble with the leader thing but I might try this out. So basically I should breed 21 villagers and put them at the far portal chunk, bring through the leader and 2 random villagers first and then the rest?
I built this in Realms a few days ago and played it safe - brought all 84 villagers through to their respective portals. Then I found the leader etc, etc. Made a boo-boo in one village pod when one of the first 3 villagers suffocated in a wall - the leader changed and stuffed up that 'village' so I "dealt with" those remaining 20 villagers and left that stack empty. Also, a second pod isn't spawning golems, so I'm not sure what I've done wrong there. Iron farm still works but at half capacity - 12x stacks ingots, 3x stacks poppies, and 2x stacks string in one hour test.
Finally. A solution. I will like your comment if this works. I have never liked a comment before, so you would be my first
@@randominternetguy3537 did you try it? I might try it tonight as well.
For anyone looking to build this iron farm on realms please read to save a massive headache.
The village stacking/linking will drive you crazy as leaders keep changing as new villagers come in but also if you log out and in the realm. There's a few workarounds from what I have read in the comments below.
Bring in 84 villagers all at once (21 per module) to farthest portal (6-7 chunks away as seen in the video) identify the leader, then move the 4 villagers to each pod. This CAN be done on realms but is very tedious as you have to do it in one sitting and not log out.
Other option will be to download the world, finish the farm and reupload to realms and the farm should be working. Just keep in mind this is only for the process for not messing up the village leader, whereas linking villagers to bed and workstations can also be very frustrating - best way to workaround is to make sure you place workstations one by one and figuring out which villager is linked, then placing that workstation beside them in the pod. With bed linking make sure the leader is linked to a bed first then move the rest and place 20 beds as seen in video.
If you have done everything correct but no iron golems are spawning but only cats, the comment section suggests to remove glass above the pods or adding an extra bed to the bed layer.
Also if one module isn't working its probably a linking problem with the beds or having villagers attached to beds in a area nearly - this farm NEEDS to be more than 300 blocks away minimum.
Omg u are a god
Just finished building this (finally!). For those wondering, it still works as of January 1st, 2022. A couple tips that made it much easier:
- Make sure you start the trapdoors facing the correct direction. You want the first set of trapdoors pressed up against the glass towards the *outside* of the farm. I had it the other way to start, and the villagers would end up standing on the tops of the trapdoors instead of falling into the capsules, which allowed them to escape and cause all kinds of problems.
- The video says to use 8 blocks to extend the reach of the water in the collection system, but when I tried that, it created some whirlpools where items could get stuck. Using 6 blocks instead of 8 worked for me.
- I made a path so that I could easily get from where the villagers come through the portal down to where I was putting the beds, so I didn't have to run across the top every time and risk falling into one of the villager capsules. That happened a couple times and it sucked. Just make sure you block your personal path with an iron door so the villagers don't try to go that way.
Also, anybody who manages this on survival without setting it to Peaceful deserves a medal. I had a hard enough time building this without having to fight mobs.
Useful comment, thank you ☺️
So im not supposed to build the top layer only bottom or build top layer and not buttom layer? Heard iron golems only spawn on the highest level
@@nuggis I built both platforms, but it does seem like the golems are only spawning on the top layer. Another comment mentioned that you don't need the bottom layer, and they may be right as of 1.18, but I can't 100% confirm that.

Hey silent :), do you have a planned update for this farm in the coming weeks so I can know to build that one as my current iron farm (450/hr) is not getting what I need.
this farm still works perfectly, if you can build it:)
I haven’t fully whatched the video so I don’t know how you stacking it buy can’t you do 24 iron farms if you like build one 42 blocks under you and 42 above you?
This String farm is amazing! The extra iron is also a nice plus.

@@henryhumphries9419 I assume you built it below y30. oof.
Would it be ok to build a mob farm next to this? Just so I can afk at both at the same time, or would it ruin the rates of either farm?
I see you still answer comments which is lovely I've noticed that 2 layers iron farms were changed and you only need one layer now is it the case here aswell? Is there a way to spare some time and resources?
i can confirm that iron golems now only spawn on the top layer which includes this build too as i've noticed this myself so basically bottom layer likely isnt needed its only useful for cats but you could remove it and do something with the storage or increase the storage or perhaps build a item sorter directly under the top layer should be enough room
This is a lot of signing I’m going to need to call my lawyer just to make sure everything is legal
I'm finally one of the first viewers for one of your videos! Also, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for this iron farm!
If The Village Leader Changes From Logging off will the leader Re rest it’s self or do I need to restart over again?? Cause That’s Whats Getting Me!
There's a bug that prevents this farm from being built on a realm. Anytime you spawn a villager , no matter if it's with a spawn egg or a with a nether portal, that villager immediately becomes the new leader. The villager that's kept at the crossroad point can not be kept as the leader while building this on a realm. However, the bug doesn't seem to exist on downloaded/ offline worlds. You may be able to download a copy of the world of the realm you're playing on, build the farm, then replace the realm world with the new one.
Thank you for this comment, it’s been the most useful 🙏
I hate building iron farms so much because of the villagers but they're so necessary in every Minecraft world.
Me: sees this,
My mouth: *starts drooling*
Love how bro still answering questions
:)
It still works very well on 1.20
Does moving them along the path have to be done with the bed trick or can you move then there with water and just have the villager leader bed be over there in the middle. (What I mean is do you have to make them move across the path with the bed trick for the farm to work, sorry if this question is dumb)
You have to do it with moving the beds, it can brake if not done like that (I think), just be safe !!
Not sure if you found your answer but yes because some times the villager would not link to a bed or work station
Silent we need a 12 stacked iron farm I'm in need of it I built your first iron farm and it was amazing from going afk for like 48 hours I got a full shulker box full iron blocks and now I'm thinking of building my mega base with use of some iron blocks plzzz do make the 12 stacked one plzzz Btw I'm super hyped for the 12 stacked one
How did you get the villager to stay the leader?
I built the farm, it worked perfectly, I logged off and the next day, without a single change being made, it stopped working. I built it in the end, if that matters, but it should't since it was working without any issues, also theres a source block near where the items drop in the water stream, and idk if i placed the water or if you guys have the same thing
