- CUNY TV is proud to re-broadcast newly digitized episodes of DAY AT NIGHT, the popular public television series hosted by the late James Day. Day was a true pioneer of public television: co-founder of KQED in San Francisco, president of WNET upon the merger of National Educational Television (NET) and television station WNDT/Channel 13, and most recently, Chairman of the CUNY TV Advisory Board. The series features fascinating interviews with notable cultural and political figures conducted in the mid 1970's. (Taped:05/06/74)

Love Ernie, even as a kid. I'm 70 2day. So wonderful to listen to him speak, beautiful voice, both speaking and singing. xoxoxo
Seemed like such a nice guy. America needs men like him today. Long live TEF
Bless God for this beautiful gift. Still giving, still beautiful, still a blessing.
That story about his dad really touched me, really mis my dad. Lost him a few years back.
This is what a television interview should look and sound like
RIP, Ernie Ford. Thank you for everything. What a voice! What a personality!
Humble, down-to-earth, genuine human being.
This video is truly amazing, it feels as if you're sitting right there with him and just - talking, having a nice conversation.
They broke the mold after Mr. Ford. He had a voice that will never be matched.
Quality. He obviously knows where his own morality comes from.
Very rare in this age, or to come.
The days where we see great men like this man speaking and living his faith have falling to a all time low will we ever see people standing for truth living with integrity doing for others more then we would do for our self God help this generation to see our need of thee
You will find men like this in the military and in the Heartland of America. The 'bitter clingers' as Obama once called them.
@@TheBlueyedblond Thanks for the like God bless you if you go to youtube in the search box put the words sermon in song by Andrew Mullett you will find all of my resent songs Enjoy and share Thanks
What a find! Aside from "This is Your Life" and "Person to Person, I can't find anything else of "Ol' Ern" being spontaneous. However, we certainly see him in his performances and music.
An intelligent and gifted performer. He is missed.
How times have changed. Could you imagine a star jumping into the car of a stranger to go eat at their house?
Ernie Ford was such an interesting man.
One of the best.
What a nice humble man , beautiful voice hope he was a Christian man
From San Fransisco! How times have changed, Good god we need a DeVine intervention.!!😪
Hi oooh
Alguém pode me mandar esse video com legenda em português pra mim?
I heard someone say he had a fantastic singing voice and horrible speaking voice, but I really don’t agree.
Why does it feel to me the interviewer was very passive aggressive towards him, very subtle
Let's get back to the basics of life...
