She doesn't replace Xiangling at all Her solo app is terrible for reverse melt/vape, her buffs are non-existent for mono pyro (compared to C6 XL), she doesnt get kazuha buffed, she needs deepwood but not on herself... She is at best a complement to Xiangling teams atm

Pyro hitting hydro will leave hydro on the enemy but hydro onto pyro will remove all pyro. Burn melt has been one of ganyu's best team for a long time with nahida, you just need kazuha to absorb Bennett pyro to reapply because.... Well ganyu has 2 hits that melt lol. It's specifically a ganyu thing.

She seems like a fun and strong unit with a lot of future potential when Natlan comes out. Really gonna be a missed opportunity if we don't get a Pyro that works well with Burning in Natlan.

The most insane usage of Emilie is mono-pyro team with her, but every character is equipped with 4 piece burning set. I mean, it gives +50% damage, unless I'm missing something. Highly doubt that anyone will ever bother, but if you don't mind farming for burning set, you can give it a try.
honestly, even before emilie released, i was alrdy thinking of burning set being viable for Lyney. Seems pretty great on his mono pyro team i thought. just waiting for a supporting burning chara for me to use the set on Lyney.
It's technically BiS for a lot of carries who you'd play with Emilie. If you're running Ganyu melt with Emilie it's actually better than Wanderers on her.
You can use Ganyu on that set even without Emilie (if you have Nahida), but yes she performs slightly better than with WT, but keep in mind Reverie won't work outside burning reaction.
No joke, it was probably because of her dress. She has the wide skirt dress like Barbara and Faruzan. The only tall female to have something like that is Navia, and her "dress" is actually a coat tail.
I can't wait for tonight. I've got my materials farmed and I'm ready to ascend her to 90, 9,10,9. Most of a cracked artifact set ready. Hopefully I'll get her weapon too
Dendro characters have high bar expectation since their contenders are strong enough, ie. Nahida, Collei, and even Dendro MC. It depends on what they can bring to the table and how niche can they be.
Kitain Spear anyone? She can spam her burst every rotation, just like her Signature. The EM substats is not that bad since it's a high base atk weapon.

The passive starts right after using her E since it has an initial hit (her pneuma attack can also trigger the passive). As long as you immediately use her Burst, the -3 energy from the weapon passive wont do anything since there's no such thing as negative energy.
Ngl she is really good and hits hard. Skipping next patch cause I am sick and tired of main DPS. Looking forward to supports and subdps going forward unless the DPS is someone important lore wise.

I guess even without burning 4-Emilies is also great 🤩 Also I know that ispaikon mentioned Sethos has already broken Nahida's record BUT Nahida does not have fontaine bosses back then, so be default Nahida still holds the longest speedrun boss record 😆

Waiting for real results a week into a character release is far better, especially from regular players who get a proper feel for them during that time

So I'd say for everyone on the fence, wait until a potential rerun. Because if she works well with future characters, she will probably have an early rerun. At the end, she is a unit that expects you to have good Pyro and even one other good Dendro unit build to work well. While there are other teams, this is probably the main one. I am a bit disappointed that she scales so much off of ATK and not EM since that would be good for the burning reaction itself. But maybe that decision was made with something in mind for the future (or it's just so that the artifact set works better on her, since that one is ATK buff on the 2pc bonus).

i haven’t even built my emilie or furina yet but either way their results together are really good! i’m actually quite happy that i got emilie when i just wanted a yanfei.
Placed her with Nilou, Nahida, and Kokomi and she does wonderfully. Experimented with her hyperbloom sets and she still clears the abyss well. Her dendro application is not that good, but it is enough as a subdps as well as an off field dendro application. I dont regret getting her at all. My only issue is i wished we could have gotten her a dendro application on her attacks without C6, her NA animation is so pretty.
When ppl talk about her in this update, seems like no one is paying attention to the limited 4* weapons - wandering evenstar: this turns Sucrose into a more efficient buffing machine, just like Kazuha with Xiphos' moonlight. xD
When it comes to teams: Most pyro main DPS benefit more from vape/melt, and most Dendro benefit more from agravate/bloom then they do from burning. Try instead geo main dps. I did Navia, Zhongli, Bennett and Emilie. You have burning nonstop while not sacrificing any major damage reaction.
the burning defense talent is because you also take burning damage when you're too close to burning enemies. you'd get deep fried in aoe if you were surrounded by burning enemies
Yeah I’m pulling her since I don’t have a single 5 star dendro character but now I’ll finally have one. Nahida just isn’t my cup of tea and other dendro characters weren’t either.
I'm so tempted to pull for her due to only having Nahida and Dendro MC as 5 star dendro characters. I do have some wishes saved but waiting patiently for Natlan characters...
The 85% pyro res Thats because burning damages both the players and enemies alike if you are close to a burning target, and if you have c2 nahida she can straight up delete a character hp/shields And because its a transformative reaction that means it will ignore characters defense and damage taken from self burn or transformative reactions will only be reduced via elemental resistances, and trust me you don’t want to create burning reactions with a high em character and be close to an enemy like kazuha or nahida for example 😅 So that passive talent is more like an insurance policy of sort😂
I'm considering her but I have almost nothing. I don't even know if my pieces of reverie are decent. Anyway, she seems to be REALLY strong if you want to pull.
The math ain't mathing. -400% damage means she HEALS enemies for 4x of her damage. Negative damage means healing. Less damage is expressed in less than 100% damage. If she deals 4x damage when the enemies are burning, that means that if they are not burning, she deals 100/400% = 25% of the damage she can inflict on burning enemies.

Putting Dehya (""regular"" pyro aplication, slow enough to be perfect for this + sustain + interruption resistance) + Nahida (dendro aplication whenever there is a reaction + EM bonus) + Ganyu (melting in both damages of her ICBMs, trigering Nahida's aplication and only doing it again after Dehya burn the enemies) was always kind of a hiden premium meta, but I'm thinking Emilie can fit quite well in the last slot for more damage, that can be Benny/Thoma (for pyro resonance), Kirara/Yaoyao (for the dendro one) , Diona/Layla/Shenhe (even though cryo resonance is not as useful, more EM, a strong shield or even more damage is worth) or Zhong (but you need to get close to the enemys to shred their defenses, and that's annoying if they move a lot) The only question is, why you would need her damage if you are getting something like 150k dps? (at least 250k from Ganyu whenever she hitts + Nahida's ~20k / ICBM's recharge interval)
I also think there is something to be said about her reliance on Pyro. Her viability in Imaginarium Theater will be heavily dependent on whether Pyro is available in the same rotation or not, and I think things like this are now worth considering when pulling characters that not a lot of people are talking about. Yes, she performs great in her optimal setups (teamed up with pyro characters), but her performance falls way lower than other Dendro units when not played in optimal teams.
Since the Theater is way easier than 9* abyss 12, most people don't consider it when pulling. But it's true, some characters like Nilou and Chevreuse might be even more screwed though. I played Nilou in this theater since Nahida was on the special invitations, but I didn't find Nahida up until later in the run, I had to use Nilou early on just to burn vigor and she was basically useless. Theater is so easy and undertuned that I still cleared it easily though.
@@cynth4941 I mean yeah Theater is easy now but so was Spiral Abyss when it was new. Once they get data on how players perform I guarantee it will be tuned up. Also, even if it is easy, Emilie dealing 2k per hit on her own w/o burning is pretty abysmal and won't get you very far even in I.T.... Yae Miko, who I feel is the closest comparison to Emilie, c0 deals 8-10k per hit without relying on other characters at c0.

I really like her design and more Dendro is always welcome but I had to prioritize Nilou since this is her second Rerun and I really wanted to try her teams. I'll probably go after Emilie in a future rerun since i feel she will be really good with the Pyro Archon

I am really tempted to get her for my noelley team, the only problem is i don’t know how she will interact with the team that i have in mind Noelley with petra emelie with her set dehya with golden troupe zhongli with deep wood This maybe weird but my entire account is noelley dedicated, so i have a whole lot of combinations of teams and playstyle that are both strong and fun, so it would be a shame if i got her and something doesn’t work duo to an oversight or some sort of unforseen or invisible interaction that can not be judge unless experiencing it first hand🤔
As of right now I find her to be rather underwelming, but its probably because burning is gonna get better later on. I'm betting she will be a lot more popular on rerun in Natlan. Especially since most people are probably in new region saving mode.
I think of her as a dendro Chiori. Nice off field damage potential, but with impactful team building limitations. So if you like and play teams she fits in, she can be worth getting, but if not, easy skip. Also, Kinichi.
Will the Lithic Spear be a viable weapon for her too? It has a descent ATK bonus too. Assuming I have XL in her team, which increases the weap’s passive (crit rate)

Not really, Shinobu was horrible before dendro. Emilie before Natlan is already good
She's more of a Chiori. High raw damage and works well off field. She's good before and after Natlan so she's definitely not like Kuki.
I just figured out that burning only need constant application of Dendro and 1 instance of Pyro.

The main problem with Burning is that, the continuous damage doesn't last longer than expected. That's why it's the least popular reaction for Dendro.
Even if it last longer, it still useless

Electro-hydro reaction still do dmg each hit big enough while having fast enough reaction time to create bigger dmg when you trigger it fast and much
While with burning, the dmg is too low, even if it reaction time is fast equall electro-hydro, the dmg of the reaction still lower than amount of dmg electro-hydro reaction can reach
There will be character in natlan that transforms the burning reaction

@@noxic7860 Nilou only activates her kit when the team only has dendro and hydro, and emily only activates her kit when you trigger a burning reaction = need pyro, so I dunno if that combination is that good

Emilie might have a Kuki treatment; not that good now but ends up become good in the future… especially since she’s right before the natlan update
Her passive damage deal 60-75k. 12k with every hit of her skill. My team composed of Arlecchino, Kazuha, Emilie, and Baizhu for the Deepwood set
Placed her with Nilou, Nahida, and Kokomi and she does wonderfully.
Experimented with her hyperbloom sets and she still clears the abyss well. Her dendro application is not that good, but it is enough as a subdps as well as an off field dendro application.
I dont regret getting her at all. My only issue is i wished we could have gotten her a dendro application on her attacks without C6, her NA animation is so pretty.
When ppl talk about her in this update, seems like no one is paying attention to the limited 4* weapons - wandering evenstar: this turns Sucrose into a more efficient buffing machine, just like Kazuha with Xiphos' moonlight. xD

She doesn’t need ER at all. She is 50 burst cost. Her burst is almost always up!
I feel like mihoyo will release a character that increase burning dmg, just like how nilou and nahida boost dendro cores.
When it comes to teams: Most pyro main DPS benefit more from vape/melt, and most Dendro benefit more from agravate/bloom then they do from burning. Try instead geo main dps. I did Navia, Zhongli, Bennett and Emilie. You have burning nonstop while not sacrificing any major damage reaction.
the burning defense talent is because you also take burning damage when you're too close to burning enemies. you'd get deep fried in aoe if you were surrounded by burning enemies

Yeah I’m pulling her since I don’t have a single 5 star dendro character but now I’ll finally have one. Nahida just isn’t my cup of tea and other dendro characters weren’t either.

The 85% pyro res Thats because burning damages both the players and enemies alike if you are close to a burning target, and if you have c2 nahida she can straight up delete a character hp/shields
And because its a transformative reaction that means it will ignore characters defense and damage taken from self burn or transformative reactions will only be reduced via elemental resistances, and trust me you don’t want to create burning reactions with a high em character and be close to an enemy like kazuha or nahida for example 😅
So that passive talent is more like an insurance policy of sort😂

The math ain't mathing.
-400% damage means she HEALS enemies for 4x of her damage. Negative damage means healing. Less damage is expressed in less than 100% damage.
If she deals 4x damage when the enemies are burning, that means that if they are not burning, she deals 100/400% = 25% of the damage she can inflict on burning enemies.

Putting Dehya (""regular"" pyro aplication, slow enough to be perfect for this + sustain + interruption resistance) + Nahida (dendro aplication whenever there is a reaction + EM bonus) + Ganyu (melting in both damages of her ICBMs, trigering Nahida's aplication and only doing it again after Dehya burn the enemies) was always kind of a hiden premium meta, but I'm thinking Emilie can fit quite well in the last slot for more damage, that can be Benny/Thoma (for pyro resonance), Kirara/Yaoyao (for the dendro one) , Diona/Layla/Shenhe (even though cryo resonance is not as useful, more EM, a strong shield or even more damage is worth) or Zhong (but you need to get close to the enemys to shred their defenses, and that's annoying if they move a lot)
The only question is, why you would need her damage if you are getting something like 150k dps? (at least 250k from Ganyu whenever she hitts + Nahida's ~20k / ICBM's recharge interval)

I also think there is something to be said about her reliance on Pyro. Her viability in Imaginarium Theater will be heavily dependent on whether Pyro is available in the same rotation or not, and I think things like this are now worth considering when pulling characters that not a lot of people are talking about. Yes, she performs great in her optimal setups (teamed up with pyro characters), but her performance falls way lower than other Dendro units when not played in optimal teams.
Since the Theater is way easier than 9* abyss 12, most people don't consider it when pulling. But it's true, some characters like Nilou and Chevreuse might be even more screwed though. I played Nilou in this theater since Nahida was on the special invitations, but I didn't find Nahida up until later in the run, I had to use Nilou early on just to burn vigor and she was basically useless. Theater is so easy and undertuned that I still cleared it easily though.
@@cynth4941 I mean yeah Theater is easy now but so was Spiral Abyss when it was new. Once they get data on how players perform I guarantee it will be tuned up. Also, even if it is easy, Emilie dealing 2k per hit on her own w/o burning is pretty abysmal and won't get you very far even in I.T.... Yae Miko, who I feel is the closest comparison to Emilie, c0 deals 8-10k per hit without relying on other characters at c0.

@@Radi340 yae miko doesnt have restrictions. at all. emilie atk passive cap at 2400, miko em passive no cap. emilie need burst to reposition, miko doesnt. emilie c6 doesnt buff her core kit/skill, miko c6 strait def ignore. they will never make an off fielder like miko again.
Pretty sure Emilie is the first member of a meta buring team. It's just that the other 3 haven't released yet. We will see in the next 2 years.

@@lxlYukilxl You don't need more dendro in a purely burning reaction team. Any character can use deepwood as long as their elemental skill and burst can hit multiple times.
@@lxlYukilxl No. If u swirl with anemo set u shred the pyro res, it doesnt matter if u lower the pyro res or dendro res. Instead of doing more dendro dmg with deepwood set u do more pyro dmg with VV set.

This maybe weird but my entire account is noelley dedicated, so i have a whole lot of combinations of teams and playstyle that are both strong and fun, so it would be a shame if i got her and something doesn’t work duo to an oversight or some sort of unforseen or invisible interaction that can not be judge unless experiencing it first hand🤔

As of right now I find her to be rather underwelming, but its probably because burning is gonna get better later on. I'm betting she will be a lot more popular on rerun in Natlan. Especially since most people are probably in new region saving mode.
I think of her as a dendro Chiori. Nice off field damage potential, but with impactful team building limitations. So if you like and play teams she fits in, she can be worth getting, but if not, easy skip. Also, Kinichi.

Shes is a great character and has a lot of potential, especially with Natland right around. But I think I will just save for Muanali and her sig, and Emilie rerun. I just want a funny Hydro dps. Since I have C1R1 Arle for one team and other messed up Clorinde and Alhaitham team, I kinda need a Hydro character
