I'm on the Jeep Gladiator forum tonight, and I run across the news of Allison's passing. I pray she had a relationship with her Creator (John 3:3). I purchased my first Jeep - a JT Mojave - last year. I've been ducked 15 times and I've ducked somewhere btwn 150-175 other Jeeps this past year. It's my new hobby. Rest peacefully, Allison.✝
Had my first rejection today. I noticed an older 2-door Jeep coming to a stop in front of me, with their doors off and a bikini top. It was a 4-lane road, so I slowed down and pulled up to the right of the Jeep. There was an older couple in it. I say to the lady riding shotgun, "Hey, catch!" and I tossed a unicorn duck to her. She caught it, took a glance down at what she had caught, and said back, "Oh no!". As I was pulling away (traffic light had turned green) she tried tossing it back into my rolled down driver's window. She missed my open window & the duck hit my back psgr window and tumbled to the pavement. Not sure if she doesn't like cute little unicorn ducks, or maybe it was the card that I have attached to all of my ducks. Anyhow, my feelings were a little bruised, but I got over it. Made a U-turn & went back to pick up the unharmed unicorn duck. You just can't please everybody. Most females are excited to get ducked. Oh well.
I'm new in the JEEP community and a few weeks ago went to Costco when I got back to my truck I saw this little rubber duck on the door handle, I google the act as soon I got in the car and made my day a whole lot better, now this little duckling seats on the dashboard...
Last night I got to be someone's first duck, I was at Walmart and snuck up on their jeep. Once I got close I realized they didn't have any ducks so I was their first. I got back to my jeep and pulled up to the loading curb and watched as his wife came out and they saw the duck... They both jumped up and down. Great feeling and a great way to say welcome to the family
I just got ducked and I wasn’t sure what it meant so I googled it and took me to this video. I couldn’t stop smiling watching and listening to this video. Truly made my day 😍
we live in london, ontario and we were at lowes today and my wife was so excited when we got ducked..its the 3rd time now..its a great random act of kindness that really makes your day
I had 7 ducks left from my first 100-duck purchase in April 2021. I have just finished tagging my second 100 ducks! I love doing this. I have been ducked about 10 times...but it doesn't matter. I love ducking Jeeps. Makes me happy.
Love to hear that ducking makes you happy! Such a great idea! Similar to our Send a Big Smile Challenge to make others happy with Positive Acts! Love it! 😀👍
Thanks a lot, Allison, for starting this awesome new tradition for Jeep Wrangler owners! I’ve been “ducked” twice now, and ducked someone once, and it felt really wonderful. 🦆
Much like Harley Owners Group, leg trouble forced me to sell my Bike, and got Rubicon Gladiator to still be able to get off into the Woods, & now am a Proud Ducker !
I just bought my 1st Wrangler. 2018 Sahara JL. I actually learned how to drive on a 1948 Willy's Jeep at 8 yrs old on my Daddy's friend's farm. Born and raised about 30 miles west of Baton Rouge.
People everywhere seem to assume so easily. Sorry you had that experience. Glad you have Peter and were able to move forward with a smile-on your face and on the face of so many others...
Incredible story! 😊 This interview is a gem, and those crochet ducks? Beyond adorable and wonderfully Canadian! 😊Allison, your creation here is nothing short of incredible, and I'm absolutely thrilled you shared it!
I love the story, the idea, and the positive intention behind ducking. The city I'm in has tons of Jeep owners from every race and background and when I bring the trend here it will become very popular!! I will give all the credit to Allison and links to this cool story!! I will return with an update soon🙂 let's ducking go!!!!
The first time that I got ducked I poured over at a beautiful lake Last year to look at the scenery and when I got back to my Jeep wrangler I saw a little red duck I was looking around to see who I could thank it put a big smile In the summer time I drive with the doors off and I was going around the corner and the duck flew out the window.I was so upset but just recently. I was sitting in my Jeep and somebody ran over to me and complimentary on The work that i've done on my jeep and he gave me another duck And the beautiful part about this duck.It matched the color of my jeep Moments like that in life Put a big smile on your face now I'm going to buy some ducks to make others smile
Heyyyyy I was ducked as soon as I pulled off from the dealership in my new Jeep. Put the biggest smile on my face. Thanks you Mother Duck we appreciate you🙏
Hello, Milly here!! So today I was grocery shopping at Aldis, (Laporte Indiana) for my mother and I saw this 2 cool yellow Jeeps. So I told the couple they have a pretty Jeep. They were so happy and we conversated for little. Then I started loading the groceries and when the couple were about to leave, the lady gifted me a cool rubber duckie. My first one handed to me specifically. Once in a Walmart ( Michigan City IN) parking someone put one on my drivers handle. So I looked around in fear thinking they had put some type of drugs🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ so I put it somewhere else and left in a hurry thinking someone was going to follow me home. All of this because I didn't know about the trend. It even had a little label with a Facebook link. Sorry It was difficult times 2020 and I don't trust anyone in parking lots. I'm glad today I google it to find its meaning. That lady made me happy today. 🙏 So ducked back to otherJeeps there with pictures and took my first duck on the 1st day of October 2022 home with me.😍
I was "ducked" (2004 Wrangler Rubicon) for the first time a couple of days ago at a trailhead near Lake Tahoe. I was confused until I googled "jeep duck". Now I know. My little white duck now sits on the dash.
I know right? All the way from Canada!!!! Spreading smiles (inside and out.) Plus then you know you got a bad ass ride.❤ My brother just got his first DUCK like 3 weeks ago. He kept asking me what was it all about? I personally knew a little something regarding this crazy fun thing, .My a new friend of mine has a ton of DUCKS!!! So that was how I first caught wind of this inspirational jester....then 3 was later he got DUCKED.......DUCK ON JEEPERS!!! SPREAD THE LOVE!!!!
I didn't know this story and first tried to ask chat gpt what the significance of ducks was in the offroading community. My answer was "Rubber ducks are often used in offroad communities as a fun way to gauge water depth when crossing streams or other bodies of water. Offroaders may attach rubber ducks to their vehicles' antennas or roll cages and watch them float in the water to determine if it's safe to cross. It's a lighthearted tradition that adds a bit of whimsy to offroading adventures while also serving a practical purpose."
Sending so much love to the family and friends. you started something amazing right here in my little home town in Ontario Canada! Rest in Paradise beautiful angel!
Thank you for watching our video with Allison. We miss her every day and cannot believe she is gone. She has left an incredible legacy of love and kindness.
I received my 1st duck today and it made me smile and laugh in Walmart parking lot! I didn't know I was to take a picture and post which I am not on Facebook, Instagram, ECT., I've never a need.
I got ducked for the first time last year several months after getting my 2012 JKU. It so far is the only duck I have, blue with a Green Mohawk here in Ohio. Thanks to whoever it was. Your story is inspirational, thanks for sharing and so sorry about your traumatic experience.
@tcw00 I believe it was. And I even just talked to my bf about it. He said he remembered me doing it. Lol. I was sad to give away my cool Mohawk duck but I wanted to because I hadn't gotten ducked yet. So I was kinda disappointed that I felt left out and I didn't want anyone else to feel left out. Lol. I got my jeep last year for my birthday (my bday is July 4th so i got it a few months prior) so I got a box of ducks too.
I don’t own a jeep but love the old ones. This ducking is awesome. We need a whole world full of “ducks” My dad would have gotten a kick out of this as his name was Howard and I always called him Howard the duck and he referred to me as his duckling😊
I've been with my husband for 2 years and when he met he had a old school Wrangler. It's just mainly been our summer/beach vehicle. Last year we stayed at a B&B and the owners had a Jeep. When we left there was a duck on the Jeep. He ask a Co worker who owns a jeep about it and she explained it. But that was our only lonely duck. This weekend we were at the Myrtle Beach jeep jam. When I went down to get something out of the jeep..there was a duck. I was like a little kid. The next day..more ducks. I was hoping for at least a dozen. I ended up with double that. We just signed up for another jeep event. I'm waiting on my ducks and I'm ordering more ducks. So I thank this woman for something so simple but so wonderful.
Thank you Allison for starting the Duck Duck movement. I bought Dory, my 2021 Rubicon last year. I’m fighting a rare cancer with sucky odds so my Jeep is my last adventure! I love the duck duck movement and have so much fun ducking Jeeps. It’s a positive thing to do. It brings smiles to peoples faces. Jeeps have a great community! Thanks Allison!! Happy Ducking!
Thank you for watching our video . . . it doesn't seem real that she passed away. After this interview, we stayed in touch and she was genuinely the nicest person we have ever met.
I recently got a 2019 Rubicon. My GF owns a 2018 Sport S and had all the ducks. I always thought it was cool. I bought her 3 different bags of ducks so she could duck people back. Theu was a mix of ducks. But my favorite ducks are the tiny ones. So 1 of those bags i got us was tiny ducks. When i got my jeep. She ducked me lol. And gave me a bag of dicks to carry in my jeep. My first stranger duck i got was a regular duck. The second was a white and black spotted duck. I have since ducked 3 jeeps. Actually kinda fun.
I got one today for the first time, it was on my hood. I looked around expecting to get mugged or watching to see of anyone was following me home. I've heard about people leaving coins on door handles as a sign that it will be robbed? You just never know these days. Sad.
The only thing that would suck is someone puts a duck on a persons Jeep, afterwards an idiot comes by and steals said duck. The owner later on comes out and doesnt realize he had a duck on his Jeep.
This is amazing! I have my first Jeep Gladiator Overland 11.23.2023. My bast vehicle I ever ride. Jeep Jeep ducks make me love my vehicle even more. I love to share duck with the other Jeeps. Thank you, Alisson🪿🪿🪿
What a great interview! Honestly; ducking jeeps are one of my happiest joys. It’s people like Allison and people doing random acts of kindness daily that makes our world a better place. Duck on ✌️
bought a used 2007 jeep wrangler sahara unlimited. I cannot wait to walk out to my jeep and see a rubber ducky sitting on my hood. Got the jeep a couple days ago. I got it because I want to go mudding and escape society on the weekends, I was unaware of the ducks and hand waves. I just bought it because I want to go mudding and into the woods of florida lmao.
In a world of automotive culture, there exists a peculiar tradition known as “Jeep ducking.” While not as recognized as other automotive manners, such as waving to fellow Jeep drivers or the Jeep wave, this practice holds a special place in the hearts of Jeep enthusiasts worldwide. Originating from humble beginnings, Jeep ducking has evolved into a lighthearted and endearing custom that fosters camaraderie among Jeep owners. The origins of Jeep ducking can be traced back to the early days of World War II. As the United States military deployed its robust fleet of Willys MB and Ford GPW vehicles, soldiers quickly formed a deep attachment to these rugged and versatile machines. Amidst the harsh realities of war, soldiers found solace and amusement in personalizing their Jeeps, often affixing makeshift mascots and ornaments to the front grille. One such ornament that gained popularity among servicemen was the rubber duck. While the exact reason behind choosing a duck remains uncertain, theories suggest that it symbolized good luck or served as a whimsical reminder of home amidst the chaos of battlefields. Regardless of its initial significance, the rubber duck became an iconic fixture on many Jeeps, earning it the moniker “Jeep duck.” After the war, as veterans returned home and civilian versions of Jeeps became available, the tradition of adorning Jeeps with rubber ducks persisted.
I’ve been ducked twice, once in Bozeman Montana, and again in Marquette Michigan. It was actually today, went in to get water for my dogs at Meijer came out and had a duck in my Jeep handle. I was like “hey I got ducked” so I had to dig around some storage bins to find my first one and now they are prominently displayed on my dash.
Don't let anyone make you feel bad about being you, you are obviously a lot better person then they were!People are idiots that just believe what they are told. Regardless of the situation any man that puts his hands on a woman deserves to have a man put their hands on him! My sister is from Louisville KY. I just recently got a jeep again after years. My sister let my 4yr old nephew find a duck at a store and he walked up and gave it to me and hugged me. I wouldn't trade it FOR THE WORLD! He even inspired me to name my jeep. It was a red duck with like a dragon tail. So just like a jeep I figure the duck runs a little warm but likes to play in the water. So.......The Fireduck!
I enjoy driving my 2021 Willy's jeep gladiator that I ordered from the factory. I've got a bunch of ducks on my refrigerator that was put on my gladiator.
I LOVE THIS WHAT WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY I GOT MY FIRST JEEP AT 57 AND I LOVE IT. I’M OBSESSED 😂❤❤❤ I bought my own duck off of Amazon and I just recently purchased a bag of them and I can’t wait to put them on peoples trucks here in Wisconsin. They don’t do that. I haven’t seen anyone do that here at least not to my knowledge and not too many people are aware of it up here so this should be pretty fun. Thank you for this wonderful story.
I've never heard of duct duck jeep and I've had a jeep once before and i recently got another one and came out of the store and find out I've got duck in Augusta Georgia so i had to find out what it was and now playing on ducking some Jeep's
Thank you for watching! I have since become friends with Allison since I interviewed her. She is an amazing person and we need more like her in the world! Thank you again for watching and commenting.
Yes I was at Cherokee casino in Roland early Sunday morning came out to find little rubber duck on my console no one I new could tell me anything just happened to look it up wow
Strange hearing Woodstock mentioned here, since i was born in Ingersoll, but I'm in FL now for over 30 years. Maybe i would get ducked more up North than down here
That may have been when she invented that group but she didn’t invent the concept. It’s been happening in the states for DECADES! It would be nice if there would have been that clarification. Maybe she saw it somewhere decided to create the group DuckDuckJeep but it’s not a new thing…please people, do your research.
I read on reddit where someone said they got ducked in 2007, waaaay before this woman says she "began" this movement. The same reddit post says she is sending cease and desist through her lawyers so that people cannot open their own rubber duck selling sites. Would love to hear her response to these accusations.......Allison?
Bs this girl did not start ducking jeeps and the fact that she got online and said she did you can bet that the Canadian lawyers are on her ass ducking started in Canada 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 get sued
Just know if you get ducked it’s not to upset you. You can give the duck away to a kid of you feel upset about it. It’s fun for many and not meant to anger anyone. You can wave and duck. lol
I feel like gay stuff like this is what gives jeep owners that cringe look. It’s sad stuff like this catches on. Most of these people who do stuff like this are the ones driving around in stock ass jeeps that only got one because they wanted to be part of a group. They didn’t get it because they like the off road capability they just wanted to be in a group and feel special that now people wave at you.
Who gives a shit? I always wave at modified 3 series in my supercharged m3. They always get a huge grin, and maybe want one like that someday. Sounds like condescending, gatekeeping shit. Who cares if some soccer mom mall crawls, how does that affect you? It’s cringy but let them have fun. At least they love Jeep! 🇺🇸
@@Snappy650 because it went from waving to people leaving ducks on their bf’s jeep to next their probbaly going to be leaving their personal but plugs in peoples exhaust pipes. I’m just saying it’s gay and literally you just confirmed exactly what I said so thank you
@@xaphan8581 low key sounds like you’re obsessed with gays. Kinda weird imo. I don’t really give a shit what people do in their bedroom, but you seem fascinated by it in graphic detail. I’ll bang my girlfriend real quick, look forward to a misspelled ramble! 👍

Thank you for sharing your story with us! Enjoy that Rubicon too 😊
💛 🐥 #DuckDuckJeep
Thank you Allison 🐤🦆🐣
I got one today for the first time, it was on my hood. I looked around expecting to get mugged or watching to see of anyone was following me home. I've heard about people leaving coins on door handles as a sign that it will be robbed? You just never know these days. Sad.
WOW!!! What a GREAT story❤ thank you !!! Just so so heartwarming ❤*|||||||*❤
Got one last night was shocked I didn't know what it meant
We live in Oklahoma
Great video about a great kindness project.
Thank you!
❤️ to be ducked! I've got 5 ducks so far. Encouraging messages..thanks guys..
What a great way to spread Positivity! 😀
I was Ducked today at High's; thank you! Looking into it!
is there a web site?
What a great interview! Honestly; ducking jeeps are one of my happiest joys. It’s people like Allison and people doing random acts of kindness daily that makes our world a better place. Duck on ✌️
Thank you for watching! It was such a joy to interview Allison and hear her story. #DuckDuckJeep 😀
bought a used 2007 jeep wrangler sahara unlimited.
I love getting ducked and giving ducks, thank you
In a world of automotive culture, there exists a peculiar tradition known as “Jeep ducking.” While not as recognized as other automotive manners, such as waving to fellow Jeep drivers or the Jeep wave, this practice holds a special place in the hearts of Jeep enthusiasts worldwide.
Regardless of its initial significance, the rubber duck became an iconic fixture on many Jeeps, earning it the moniker “Jeep duck.”
After the war, as veterans returned home and civilian versions of Jeeps became available, the tradition of adorning Jeeps with rubber ducks persisted.
Awesome!!! Thank you for watching our interview with Allison.
Not nice
This is all done in the spirit of meanness
Thank you for watching our video with Allison!
Duck around and find out !! LOL
I enjoy driving my 2021 Willy's jeep gladiator that I ordered from the factory. I've got a bunch of ducks on my refrigerator that was put on my gladiator.
The Willy's Gladiator is sweet! Thank you for watching and enjoy your Jeep!
We were leaving ducks on Jeeps in the early 2000's.
I LOVE THIS
WHAT WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY
I GOT MY FIRST JEEP AT 57 AND I LOVE IT. I’M OBSESSED 😂❤❤❤
I bought my own duck off of Amazon and I just recently purchased a bag of them and I can’t wait to put them on peoples trucks here in Wisconsin. They don’t do that. I haven’t seen anyone do that here at least not to my knowledge and not too many people are aware of it up here so this should be pretty fun. Thank you for this wonderful story.
And thank you for watching! We really enjoyed meeting Allison and talking with her for this video. Enjoy that new Jeep of yours :-)

Thank you for watching!
someone ducked my highlander today. I thought it was only for jeeps so, I am confused by that.
I have a 20jlu yet to be ducked!!!! Texas
Funny how you make a comment that is not 100% in agreement it gets deleted.
Thanks so much.
I remember when jeeps were for the cool rugged types, then they turned into 4 wheel drive mini vans for soccer moms.
Maybe i would get ducked more up North than down here
Thank you for watching!
I’m on vacation in Spring Hill, Florida and I’ve seen literally thousands of Canadian license plates here
I have a jeep compass. I will be thrilled the day that I get ducked!!
Rest in peace Allison
That may have been when she invented that group but she didn’t invent the concept. It’s been happening in the states for DECADES! It would be nice if there would have been that clarification. Maybe she saw it somewhere decided to create the group DuckDuckJeep but it’s not a new thing…please people, do your research.
Is there an official Instagram for Duck Duck Jeep?
Try searching this this on Insta: @officialduckingJeepest2020 . . . if that does not work, let us know.
I read on reddit where someone said they got ducked in 2007, waaaay before this woman says she "began" this movement.
The same reddit post says she is sending cease and desist through her lawyers so that people cannot open their own rubber duck selling sites. Would love to hear her response to these accusations.......Allison?
Sadly I just found out Allison passed away yesterday. It's so sad😢😢😢
On my jeep I have a valosaduck (valosarapter+ duck) turtle duck and a lion duck
Awesome!! Thank you for commenting and watching our video!
I’m sorry to say, I’ve never been ducked. :(
We’ll find you! You’ll get ducked soon!😎
Leave me a real duck 🤣
long story. what was her reason?
Random act of kindness
same reason cruisin' ducks were created years before.
So you get a duck if somebody likes your Jeep do you get a ugly duckling if your Jeep is ugly
I ducked you !
🦆
I leave coors lights on all tacomas I see
She passed this week unfortunately
I think just today actually. She posted on her facebook yesterday. RIP.
Bs this girl did not start ducking jeeps and the fact that she got online and said she did you can bet that the Canadian lawyers are on her ass ducking started in Canada 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 get sued
Exactly
This is silly they had to mess up owning a jeep an make it wired
Please stop ducking broncos. Thats all.
All lies! Maybe you started it in Canada but you certainly did not start this shame on you.
I know I may be the minority, but I truly hate ducks on my Jeep. I just throw them away
All good and no worries . . . thank you still for watching our video!
That’s cool , it’s not for everyone. Maybe you could give them to a child that you know or see walking by to help make their day.
How about we stop putting bath toys in random peoples jeeps and focus more on waving like you're supposed to
Just know if you get ducked it’s not to upset you. You can give the duck away to a kid of you feel upset about it. It’s fun for many and not meant to anger anyone. You can wave and duck. lol
Who in the hell does this big ol chick think she is taking credit for something that's been around for 20 years?😂🤣😂🤣 I'm so done with people
I've never heard or seen it. What did it mean back then?
The person is just jealous because they didn't get "the fame" #duckduckjeep started truly in 2020.
cruisin' ducks started years before that. nearly word for word for the reason jeep ducking was started.
Yes! I had them WAY before 2020
I feel like gay stuff like this is what gives jeep owners that cringe look.
