Cartman resented that Heidi wanted to change him despite being self aware enough to know his diet and attitude of always being a victim were ruining his life. But childishly, he showed her by making her into him. Making her fat, a perpetual victim, a manipulator who doesn't care who she hurts if it means getting what she wants. Now to be controversial, I say this as a woman btw, but there is something truly pathological in the psyches of women that makes many go for the Cartman type and end up getting their lives ruined instead of helping anyone. The fact is, men don't get their cues from women. They don't take orders from women, no matter how good the intentions behind the orders are. My advice is to just leave these Cartman types alone. If you have the power to change a certain man's ways, he will change himself BEFORE he approaches you. He will admire you from afar basically, change himself to be worthy of you, and THEN pursue you. This is just what I have observed. I'm not trying to be controversial. I mean, it's really just a universal concept other than being a statement on men vs women. Love is not something you can force. Using active means to try to change someone - anyone- won't work unless they already want to change. And you shouldn't take it personally as a reflection on you not being worthy enough that you can't just single out a certain person and be his or her inspiration by just being awesome enough.
