    FYI I don't have that tool, but I cut the corner out of a baggy and slip it over the cable and the shaft. Then I get 2-3 of the smallest zip ties and tighten around the shaft in a couple of places. Squirt the lube in and prop up the baggy so the fluid drains onto and in the cable and it doesn't spill. Works like a charm.

    I’ve got a Sealy cable oiler and it’s my second one in 35 years because someone ‘borrowed’ the first one permanently because it was so good. Try one. Way better than any others. 👍🏻

    This tool MAY work just fine on motorcycle cable lubrication, however from personal experience using it on a throttle cable on my cub cadet lawn tractor it was down right messy and I was never able to get lube to squirt out the other end of the cable housing in spite of numerous attempts, perhaps the solid cable as opposed to braided had a bearing on my difficulties, I don't know, had a hell uv a time getting the straw inserted into the plunger end of the tool, then when under pressure it kept blowing straw out and blowing lube out thru plunger, guess it's back to the drawing board for me on my throttle cable problems, working on my third 50 dollar replacement assembly in 6 yrs was hoping this was a solution to my expensive replacement issues every couple yrs. Thanks for the video even if the product didn't work for my needs.

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  Год назад +1

      hmmmm.... yeah. I put the straw in the device after attaching to cable, then attach straw to lube can. Else, it can be a little unwieldly.

    There is 18 minutes of my life that I will never get back.. With a tool that takes 1 maybe 2 minutes at best to explain thank you for Explaining something in 1.5 million words when it only required 12. Your voice put me to sleep in the middle but in the middle but I got to see the money shot in the end where you didn't waste the single drop. Please explain how you didn't waste any lubricant when it ran out of the other end of the cable. Think you should make a video on how to put the ad loop that came out the other side back into the arisol can. I imagine that would be a hit. I recommend making that 45 maybe an hour. And while you're at it one of the other comments said why don't you talk about adjusting the clutch cable. I think that's because RUclips puts a time limit on how long the video can be. Thanks this this video made me decide I wanted to leave this comment and that fast forward is my friend. Thanks again Cheers

    I bought one of these, but the end of my brake cable (where it hooks into the lever) was too big to fit through the opening on the bottom half of the luber...so I haven't been able to try it yet.

      That sounds like a huge cable. Do you mean the rubber grommet? If so, it's split to fit around the cable housing.

      Hi Emanuel. Yeah, let us know your experience. Took me a couple of minutes to figure out that I had too much cable hanging out the top of the bottom piece. I know that may sound confusing but it will make sense when you try it. Follow directions and it should be fine. Good luck.

    How hard was the cable to pull before and after lubing?. Yes, lubricant was administered. Great job, but did it help? .....

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  4 года назад

      I lube as a normal part of maintenance. At least every oil change, or more often depending on amount of rain, washing, dust etc. I don’t let the cable get to point of NEEDING service. I would hate to figure that out 150 mikes from home. To your question Cables like to be lubed.

    Hi what is best tire for ninja 1000

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Shahzad. Thats a tough question to answer because "it depends". It depends on your riding style and needs. For example: If you do a lot of straight/flat riding, then a tire with more center tread life is probably better. If on the other hand, you do a lot of track days or mostly canyon carving, then a softer tire compound with more emphasis on dry road grip than long life and all weather traction might be best. I ride weekend canyons and everyday freeway. I roll a lot of miles on the bike so I went for a longer tread wear but still has decent fun handling. I currently am riding on Michelin Pilot 4s and Pilot 5's (2012/2016 respectively). The track day / canyon carving tire choices are many. Dunlop Q3's are nice and sticky! I get about 9,000 miles from the Pilot 4's (I'll let you know about the Pilot 5's as this is my first set). Q3's are good for MAYBE 5,000 miles or 3 track days. there are tons of tire choices. Revzilla has some good reviews as a place to check out. Hope that helps!

      @@Wrenchie i also want to know i am almost 7000 miles and its my 2nd year so what service you recommend to do ...

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  6 лет назад

      You owners manual is the go to guide. However, assuming you changed the oil at 600 Miles and then again at like 3500 miles, you're getting due or another oil and filter change. There is a 7,600 (12K killometer) service coming up. It's primarily an oil change and filter plus a lot of inspections. The 12K mile service if the big one... plugs, valve clearance. Big bucks at the shop. Here's a link to the spark plug replacement video ruclips.net/video/Cq8XDosu-Bo/видео.html
      I would carefully check the tires as I imagine you are the end of life (also based upon your first question). My recommendation is that at 8K miles, you change the air filter. I also recommend the K&N replacement as its a forever filter. Never needs to buy another - just clean and maintain. Here's a ;link to that vid on the 2012 thoughI have one for my 2016 and I'll put that video up once I change the filter. ruclips.net/video/p69Ynxkd21A/видео.html
      All the other maint items are the usual stuff like chain wear inspection and slack adjustment, idle speed, cables, fluids, brake wear, etc. I would also start thinking about coolant change after 2 years.. regardless of mileage. Here's a link to the coolant change on the 2012. Not sure what year you have but the 2016 has the overflow bottle in a different place than the 2016. Otherwise its the same drill. And here's a link to the coolant change vid :) ruclips.net/video/SA35XRy9E9k/видео.html
      Hope that helps!

      Thanks for yor reply in usa my manual says change plugs at 7000 miles i didnt get that i think its too early n i already change tiers n how much u pay for valve clearance...

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  6 лет назад

      Valve clearance check here is about $400. If you are going to have the shop do it, have them replace the spark plugs at the same time. You should be able to swing a deal as they have to remove the plugs or at least they are staring at them to do the valve work. I want to learn how to do the vale service myself. Maybe I'll do that to the 2012. Though, at 7,000 miles, you are not due for valve clearance. I think thats more like 12K miles.
