Answers with explanations at the end would have made this perfect.
I LOVE YOUR CHANNNEL!!!! TYSM FOR putting all this content for free i was in dire need of all geology content relating to Remote sensing and GIS
1. Igneous (Intergrown Crystals)
2. Metamorphic (Banded crystals) I can see it's waves
3. Igneous (vesicular)
4. Sedimentary (Evidence of life)
5. Igneous (Glassy)
6. Sedimentary (compacted sediments)
7. Metamorphic
8. Igneous (vesicular)
9. Sedimentary (Evidence of life)
10. Igneous (intergrown) maybe?
Hi what software do you use to make these videos ? Its so simple and helpful thank you so much :)
I too would like to know if my answers are correct. The problem? The video provides an address for the app > enter web address and there is a QR code > scan QR code > Oops, can’t scan the code because the device I’m using to look at the code is actually needed to scan the code > take screen shot of code? > still need device to scan screenshot which can’t be done at the same time. Am I missing something here? Other than this, I love your videos!!!
I think you are trying to promote the app so this is maybe why the answers aren’t in the description? Which makes sense on some level but most people aren’t that invested. The app is for those who are. Instead of a QR code, a direct link to the app would be helpful or… just post the answers to the questions in the description.
I’m having trouble identifying metamorphic rocks from others it seems. How do I know if the heterogeneity of the rock is due to intergrown crystals (so igneous), pressure-formed banded stripes (metamorphic) or if they got “glued” together (sedimentary)? :( Was having trouble with #1, #7 and #10 because I keep getting these characteristics mixed up
Do you have a way to be contacted personally?
Love, love , love your videos!!! Link to worksheet and answer key are not working though :(
Still popping off since Oct 25, 2011!
Thank you so much
Help! I went to your link but can't find the answer key.
Good job 👏
Nailed it.
More information we want
1 igneous
2 metamorphic
3 igneous (vesicular)
4 sedimentary (organic)
5 igneous (glassy)
6 sedimentary
7 metamorphic
8 igneous (vesicular)
9 sedimentary (organic)
10 igneous
Edited note: The answers are in correct order but I added the words in parentheses next to my answers because that’s how I believed I identified them.
WRONG
is this correct or wrong
@@nptty2572 Right, I'll say
But that no_8, I'm thinking it's sedimentary(compacted, cemented sediments)
@@abdulquayumadeyinka5644 Ok, thankyou
@@abdulquayumadeyinka5644 No, number 8 is Igneous, coz most of the sedimentary rocks are smooth and layered and WITHOUT vesicles, vesicles only form in igneous rocks while they cool off.
Number 10 on the other hand, is misleading, coz I think it's a Granite but the texture and colour & distribution of crystals suggest it's a metamorphic rock.
Sir, how do I know if I guessed it right?
Don’t be gay

Wonderful NGSS videos and app (great for Science Olympiad). Could you add the name of each rock to your answer key? If it's not too much trouble.
Sorry, reposted everything here: mikesammartano.com/videos/
@@mikesammartano answer key is not there can you please provide us answer key
Dear,,,I am from India,,,can you please send me this video answer!!!

What type of rock is #7? The answer key no longer appears online.
Metamorphic! Some banding and foliated crystals (mica schist).
@@mikesammartano Awesome! Thank you so much! That’s what I thought it was but wanted to be sure. I appreciate all of your hard work! I’m a middle school science teacher and love showing your videos!
I can't find the answers even after downloading the app on my phone. What am I doing wrong?
yo mike how you be pronouncing that second name dawg
please post the answer key here in the comments
Is number 6 sedimentary? I can't find the answer key anywhere.

sedimentary, sign of life (compacted shells)
Awww. So your channel shut off and died... That's an actual pity.
