Random tip: One of the best things to do when you keep landing with one foot is to try and land with just the other foot. Landing with both should come pretty quick after.
Give, him credit,he's a great teacher, frontbfoot pointed, right back footflat on tail, like an ollie,Yah Mike's a great teacher, taught me the Russian Boneless on bones brigade 3 animal chin!yep give him credit, been skateboarding 30 years, and just turned 41 years old- 1987 I learned to Ollie with Keith Cochran at Linda Mar shopping center in Pacifica,Frogger,Derek Bullene!if it wasn't fun,I wouldn't do it!I love it it my meditation!thanks Mr.Valley and Mr Cochran great teachers!
Something that helps me is always keeping my shoulders over the bolts. Another thing was not worrying about getting a perfect Kickflip, instead just pop and flick the bolt closest to my front foot and then after that flicking more towards the pocket or the nose will give me a more leveled out and sometimes tweaked Kickflip. (I can't really tweak my Kickflips out all that much though.)
Remember standing in my living room watching these! Mom would get mad at me for trying the Ollie inside the house, which would cause a mini earthquake 😆😆 miss the old days!
Back in the 90s me and my buddy were talking to this girl and he told this girl I was a sponsored skater, and I went with it. I wasn't good at skating I could do basic 90s stuff, shove it kickflip sometimes, heel flip sometimes, 5050. she wanted me to do a trick, so I did a fakie 360 shove it, and because Vagine was involved I said I'm gonna flick this hard and put my feed on the board no matter what. It was 100 percent commitment. I flicked the baord it spun so fast, and I planted my feet and it landed perfect. Later my friend was like I didn't think you were gonna land that, and I was just as surprised as him. If you want motivation to stick your tricks use impressing girls as the lesson.
"it might hit you in the shin, you might have blood in your sock" - The only protective gear I wear when skateboarding is shin pads. No one else seems to wear them but I don't care, you don't see them under trousers anyway, they aren't hot or heavy, and they mean I get to skate more because my shins aren't falling apart.
it takes time. The more your muscle memory and confidence builds, things will just click. I could not for the life of get any sort of rotation. I watched video after video, tried to understand the nuances that could only be learned by practice. o still need more confidence and practice, but now i can at least get a nice spin and half land it with my front foot. But it is progress, I know the next step, which is to trust my board.
to keep it under u u jump behind u, as your board goes that way a bit u stay with it. As u see all the kids boards land behind them some not where they popped on ground. Pause to see what I mean n look on ground where they pop , use a crack on the ground or sumtin next to the wheels as a mark of where they pop, then see the board lands not back on the "crack" ect but a behind a board away about.
***** also alot of people who start dont know alot about skateboards therefore they usually like me when i started have a board from somewhere like k-mart
I've been skating for 6 years and can heelflip, varialflip, treflip, backside flip, etc and I just got my kickflips on lock 4 months ago lol it all depends on the person. Just keep practicing bro
+PMG Kyle this is a late comment but that board can be bought at wamart go somewhere like a zumiez annd get a board u like i ride for darkstar and i like revive but if u have smal feet get a 7.75 maybe if u have bigger feet get a 8.0 or higher
I am regular my ollie is legit but so when I try kickflip I get the pop the slide but the flip every time I try to flip I kick the board away. any tips?
Stay centered, make sure that your whole body is over the board and you are flicking the board hard enough to get it all the way round, I struggled with kick flips for ages and just this week I got them and now using these tips I already have them consistent, also commit completely it won't hurt to take a fall if something goes wrong anyway 😄
ople peo Keep your shoulders over the bolts. Try having your weight a little more near the center of the board and don't flick out as much. It really is just like an Ollie, except you flick. Experiment with it.
if u want to land a kickflip learn a shuvit and at least get the rotation for a kickflip then try a ffrontside flip and then pay attention to how your foot flick out and then try a kickflip
Put your back foot center of your tail, pop straight up. put your front foot underneath front bolts drag foot up to bolts, lands bolts and keep rollings.
Hey guys! Im what you call a noob in skateboard ing and I dont know shit...I have a razor skateboard but I dont know if it is that good of a board or not...if its a bad board please tell me what some good quality boards are. Thank you!
