Also his combination of freestyle and street skating is pretty much unlike any other skater out there atm.
I'm aware that Rodney Mullen did the same in combining freestyle and street before anyone else did and Rodney will always have my utmost respect but the way Andy seems to combine the two so seamlessly and beautifully is really impressive.
Whoever edited this video needs a raise. They have this awesome understated sense of comedic timing. Its subtle enough that it doesn’t draw attention to the editing itself, but discernible enough to accentuate the little moments that might not shine through as well at the pace of a normal conversation.
A good editor is like a good bass player. Super necessary, equally hard to find, and the best ones know they’re there to lay back and create the space for the other elements to shine

And one of my favorites) to Rodney Mullen who is the godfather of freestyle and essentially the primary pioneer of modern street skateboarding. That’s not a knock on Andy btw he’s legit one of my favorite skaters to watch today. It’s kinda just like, Andy isn’t doing anything that in 20 yrs people will be like, this has still been done only ONCE!!?? I get that you probably weren’t saying that they are the same or anything, I just think that a lot of people kinda forget the extent to which Rodney essentially invented a large part of the framework for street skating, and that he wasn’t just a good freestyle skater - he was unbeatable.

Not gonna lie, I've been sleeping on Andy Anderson. Like, I've seen him around enough to know that he rips but I hadn't really gotten stoked on him until I saw this. Actually, I clicked this video because I'm a Crob fan but man....I'm starting to really see Andy's genius. Dude's a magician.

I love watching Andy. Always so excited to show people things, but never in a show off way. True genuine person and true genius on a skateboard.
Roberts was one of my favorite pros growing up, and to now see him being such a good personality in skateboarding makes my day. Pure comedy genius.

This kid is awesome and I love to see people bringing back the flatland freestyle. Mullen is by far the best at these kinds of tricks but he practiced for years to become that good so I can't wait to see how good this young man is in 5 years.

Andy is one of those skaters that deserves it all . The time he has put into skateboarding is amazing, as my dad used to say he is looking through his inner-child eyes and keeping it fun and entertaining which ultimately keeps him interested and learning. So much props to Andy , makes me happy to be a part of skateboarding 🤙👌👊

It's crazy how watching 2 people do a few flat ground tricks can be so entertaining and inspiring. I have been skateboarding 41 years and this is the first time I have seen Chris Robert's skate and yet he has become one of my favorite skateboarders due to his personality. I'm definitely going to learn these tricks tonight after work.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if Chris was partially phoning it in here, but Andy's on some ballet shit. Real graceful moves over here.
I think it was a mental block, not a skill thing. A regular manual is more balanced in the centre. If you lose it on this kind, you’re diving straight on your face. That takes some getting used to.
