The song “Come Back Home” that you really like in the opening sequences is actually their cover of Seo Taji’s original song that had such a big impact to society when it was able to reach out to runaway youths and made them come back to their homes.
no! In the first episode of this series, they talk about the history of kpop and how this group called Seo Taiji and Boys changed the entire korean pop culture. in fact, Seo Taiji created kpop; he's literally of the most influential and popular artist in the history of South Korea!!! it's AMAZING that he invited BTS to play at the 25th anniversary of his band and ask them to make a remake of his legendary song "Come Back Home" where Seo Taiji critics the society for young opression. Seo Taiji, in his show, said to BTS that this is THEIR era now, and that BTS will show everyone what they're capable of. pretty much saying that BTS will continue what Seo Taiji was doing in the 90s: advocate for young people and changing everyone's life. And they did :)
They call him father because he is actually sorta the father of Kpop and probably what their parents jammed to during their time in the 90’s Seo Taiji looks so youthful for someone in his mid to late 40’s 🤯 it just really blows my mind how he can still actually pass as just another older member of the group when in fact this concert is for his 25th year anniversary as a performer. He’s been performing longer than most of the boys are alive 😳 DKDKTV have a short documentary explaining how they abolished the government’s pre-censorship in music, paving the way for more freedom of expression for artists. You might want to watch if you’re interested.
Beginning of Kpop is with Seo Taiji & the boys..One of the boys then went on to establish YG entertainment.Seo Taiji is credited as a person who changed Korean music scene
51:15 it's very common for idols to learn japanese, chinese in their trainee days, even after debut. coz korean market is quite small, so they need to promote overseas, too. Japan and China is two biggest market in Asia. that's also why lots of idol groups include japanese/ chinese members. (and of coures there's other asian country members in some groups.) also, BTS paved the way, so now many other kpop groups have more oppprtunities to promote in the western market, so they need to learn english, too. well, in asia, learning english is a must in school, too
First SUGA's award as producer! Right now his has more than 10 awards on major awards shows as soloist and producer outside of BTS. Very proud of him and glad that his talent is getting recognized
21:56 They had performed 4 intense songs back to back. That's why they looked like they were about to collapse. You should definitely check out the full MAMA 2017 performance. It was insane!
I'm about to throw hands watching the beginning of this episode. I've heard those ignorant comments before but i literally cannot stand listening to them again. It's so painful to hear how stupid people are. The best army can do and bts themselves can do is ignore it and continue achieving greatness. I also recommend you watch and learn more about seo taiji, it's quite interesting. 32:25 that song is actually a cover from seo taiji called come back home! BTS put their own little spin on it! The wings tour is such an amazing concert, the songs were fantastic and the boys all did a great job. Their ending speeches are always full of emotion. My sweet jungkookie. ;-; His heart is so soft. I can honestly frame all of namjoon's speeches he does during concerts and have them posted on my wall for motivation. His way of speaking is powerful every time.
I'm finally caught up with the series. I've been watching since yesterday. Makes me proud to live in the same generation as these passionate legends. BTS and Hybes Labels have really worked hard from bottom to top. There's just so many layers in BTS: fit and beautiful men, top notch vocals and raps, great personalities and bond. Plot-wise, visually, musically, lyrically, fashion, choreography, acting, their performances, sound engineering, quality production, references from other artists/books/musical composition in their songs/MV, meaningful music from the composition to the lyrics to the music video- Overall a whole package. They, indeed, deserved everything and more. They're like living animes from how they met at a small company and just their whole journey- (edit: And of course having the fanbase ARMY. People who supports BTS and just being there for them to gain and give energy to each other. People who helds appreciation at BTS' existence.) It makes me think that fate must be real for bringing BTS and Mr. Bang together. I'm looking forward for the next chapter!!
when they were traines, they learn other languajes because well, they promote in other countries. the most popular ones are english, japanese, mandarin, etc. they teach them but i guess they keep learning during their whole carreer. 1:06:05
Same the beginning made me mad and i hate that people are like that. Just because they are from another country and to be honest you don't have to be from another country to get talk to like that, just being a minority and speaking another language some people start getting antsy. I am from Arizona and Native American so racism really gets to me. But I love how Mic Drop was created and the message behind it. But those speechs at the end had me crying Suga and JK, that was emotional, and can't forget RM'S speech as well. They are just so amazing and deserve so much love and like you said it is hard not to love these 7 man.
28:08 Seeing them like this, I can’t wait to see them on the first day of Concert at LA.😢😢😢 I couldn’t go there but I hope they would at least do livestream since the will do streaming at RUclips theater nearby😭😭😭😭😭

In fact seo taeji is considered the father of kpop, that's why the boys were so nervous 😅

I am proud of them! I love them and their music! They are very talented and deserve their success!
Seo Taiji, the godfather of kpop! BTS was his special guests for his 25th anniversary concert.
They pick up on bits and pieces of other languages when they prepare for their concert messages in other countries.
when they were traines, they learn other languajes because well, they promote in other countries. the most popular ones are english, japanese, mandarin, etc. they teach them but i guess they keep learning during their whole carreer. 1:06:05
I know 18 chapters have passed, but in episode one they talked about Seo Taiji.
