What we came to know later on is that BTS was thinking of disbanding around that speech where they got so emotional. It hits different when you realise that….
You hit the nail on the head, John. The reason ARMY becomes ARMY is definitely because of BTS' sincerity. It's felt. We as humans are very good at telling this. And the things they say, wise, motivational, relatable, all of that is why we love consuming BTS contents. People now know BTS to be famous, but without getting to know them, people don't realize why. I'm so glad you are getting to experience it together with us now.
15:30 Yes please BTS do got a lot of deep songs I feel like and I wish I could understand the Korean language just so I can understand their lyrics a whole lot more😂 obviously it’s still fire anyway🔥
33:31 why not?)) I mean, i am not American but i also watched his speeches, even had a Obama speech rabbit whole once, he is interesting to listen to. RM being a lyricist and doing a lot of public speaking, no surprises he watched Obama. Namjoon is highly educated person and has interests in a lot is spheres: art, literature, philosophy etc, so it is not surprising at all
Yes but it still is commendable. Most Korean youth does not have enough language skill for it to begin with. Also, how many young people listen to presidential speeches in US? Sadly not many. And with his life being so insanely busy busy with writing music as well as doing all the idol things......... dance practice, etc, it is refreshing to see someone who is listening to a president who isn't even from his own country. You gotta admit there aren't that many out there and that is what make RM special.
49:33 hahahahahahahah that made me laugh a lot 😂😂 Thank you for the reaction. I have been watching all your BTS videos since the beginning but it's my first time cominting .. sending love from Saudi Arabia 💜
ohh! we love armys to know all the details about lyrics, meanings, the whole thing. Like we simp over DDaeng so much. So if you decide to do it, we will surely like and watch it!
If you or anyone reading this want me to give me a suggestion then please do. Perhaps non title song that is difficult to understand or something. It is difficult for me to figure out what song has what translation available or how good or bad it is. Thanks
Bts individually are great no doubt but them together on stage is something can't be explained in words it's like Royalty seeing this chapter again reminded me of speak yourself tour
When I heard the "overdosed on soy" comment, I also asked "What does that mean?" Honestly, it makes no sense. It's an insult that means nothing. To me, none of the insults make sense. Some people just feel the need to tear others down. And I really don't understand it. The members of BTS are all beautiful human beings - both inside and out.💜💜💜
I believe that most people were VERY impressed by BTS. Only a tiny few were racist jerks. My unscientific perception at that time was that the internet talking heads were 98% amazed & 2% gross commentary.
I remember it as having a turning point. People used to make fun of people who listen to any Kpop then it got a bit better. Early Stages of BTS .... it was like who? What? type of a deal. However, when they started hitting the stride , the general public started to accept Kpop as well and BTS as something cool. BTS broke the levy.
I'd actually really love to see videos about lyric breakdowns. Our ARMY translators do great work from what I've heard but you never know what might have slipped through the cracks and what context might help feed more into the lyricism.
My interpretation of the "overdosed on soy" insult is that the person was probably putting a twist on the insult "soy boy". People online use "soy boy" as a way to refer to men who aren't considered manly/masculine as sort of the opposite of manly men who love meat. I think it's supposed to play into the idea of vegetarians/vegans are weak and girly people. It's silly and ridiculous but it's mainly by men who make masculinity their whole personality and try to weaponize their homophobia and misogyny in a way that shames other men into acting the way they think men should act. So, by internet standards, a lot of guys in kpop (BTS included) would be considered "soy boys" because they are willing to wear makeup, clothes that some toxic Western men see as "too feminine" or "emasculating", they sing music that they think only women would like, and they aren't trying to perform masculinity in the way these sort of men think they should. It's a mess and it's ultimately meaningless if you're a man with self esteem and a back bone.
Sure, I would like to have your insights for the rap songs lyrics, it should be very interesting. The soy sauce comment is just another racist ones, based on culinary habits like eating rice... Lame.

Thank you very much. I am very happy that I got to know BTS better.
Just because you came first doesn’t mean you deserve respect. It had to be earned. SEO Taiji and Epik High are those seniors for them.

I am asking around for a suggestion. Thanks.

I liked V acting in Hwarang. He is talented.
