I love the 757. I am a retired electrician, and one of the biggest treats in my career was working on an energy-conservation lighting project in the 757 final assembly plant in the early-1990's. We did our project on swing shift, so the factory floor was fairly empty and quiet. A beautiful airplane indeed! They were putting one out every three days at that point, and we got to watch several of them go from start to finish. By the next-to-the-last position on the line, they had the planes connected to power and hydraulics and were testing the rudders, swinging them back and forth. Made an interesting whooshing noise that echoed around the factory floor. The 757 was about $100 Million then, so I told my co-workers to think about a business that opens up their big doors every three days and spits out another $100 Million product!
Congratulations Paul! I'm sure that your wife and children will be happy to have you on a normal schedule now. Thanks for taking us along on your journeys.
Couldn’t have a better member of the UA Team presenting this honor to the frequent flyer. Paul your genuine-kind-and a great representative of our profession….keep on keepin on! 🙏🏾
Out of all the aviation channels out there, this one is the best I’ve come across. Your content, video production, and humble personality (as many others have stated) have made this channel one of my new favorites.
You should check out Swayne Martin on here!! They give a similar vibe with aviation content, video production, and really informative videos!!! I love them both
I just want to say that I love how positive and inspiring you are, and we need that and more of it in this world we live in, thank you keep them comming
Paul, respect and my hat off to you sir, the production of your videos is amazing, and how while traveling to and from work, you still find a way to make your videos feel like you’re on a vacation, is admirable. Keep them coming please, always look forward to seeing your adventures my friend.
You genuinely have a happy face, you seem to actually love life and what you’re doing. And with that you inspire all 167,000 of us. Don’t give up and don’t stop, you’re enabling all of us to live our lives.
Paul i just watched about 10-15 of your videos today, huge fan! Super motivating and inspiring lots of others to live a better life , thank you for putting so much effort into sharing. Hope to run into you someday and chat!
Congratulations on being able to hold a line! Thank you for your kind and encouraging words at the end. I’m currently working on my ppl and getting ready for my solo! It is challenging but I love it. Having to fly an aircraft and seeing a different perspective of the world is…priceless!
Hey Paul, just wanted to say I love your channel man! I am about to start my journey and was just accepted into ATP. Your words of encouragement is EXACTLY what I needed to hear as I sit here and square away all my beginning steps to start at ATP. Keep it up man! Love that you showcase the pilot life as well as the layover life!
My great grandparents came from Sweden and settled in Michigan. When my mom and I visited Stockholm 10 years ago I felt like I was home. Gorgeous country.
Congratulations on your seniority! You can now enjoy the fruits of your labor after years of hard work! Love the videos! Would love to hear about some of the complexities of piloting in the airlines. Dealing with heavy x-wind landings or working with international ATC. Thanks!
I am full of honest, sincere admiration for the positive, accomplished man you are. I only wish I could have one tenth of your outlook and skills. Congrats - spooling up those huge RB211s would be a major ego boost for me 😂❤
As always a great video, Paul. I love the way your videos give us an insight into the cities you travel to. So glad for you, that are now on a normal schedule. Which will, no doubt work better for you and family. As a vivid av geek, I love how you explain about the life of a pilot and the workings. Love everything to do with airlines and planes. Keep them coming!!
You make big changes by doing a lot of small changes. Love that. Currently getting ready for my first solo so that part hit home for me. Love the videos!
Your message at the end . . . I'm showing that to my 19 yo son who has just a few flights left before his FAA flight for his PPL. His plans are to fly commercial, but right now, it all seems quite daunting. We always tell him don't try to eat life in one big bite - one spoonful at a time. Those small, achievable goals make life a bit sweeter and the hard times, easier to swallow. Thanks for that!! We wish you blue skies and following winds. 😊
New to the channel! I have always had a passion for flying and my dream has always been to be a pilot. Your videos help me as push to my pursuit of becoming a pilot so thank you for sharing with us and as a RUclipsr myself I know how much work it really takes to make videos great for the viewers so I love how you put in the bloopers at the end! Congrats on becoming a Captain 👨✈️! Have safe flights and I will see you around one day 🙏🏽🙌🏽
It’s so nice to see,” Minnesota Nice,” reveal itself to the whole world. I’m from Willmar, which, used to be, “Train Nice.” I just love tour videos because you are so successful. That’s the Minnesota way. You chose to stay here; raise your family here, commute, to what off most of us think here, is horrible. You have never lost the monster Minnesota way. Thank you for showing the world that; Minnesotans are great!
Hello, captain! It’s always nice watching your vlogs. There’s a certain lightness and positivity to how you treat it. I just worked EWR-ARN two weeks before you did and how I wish I got to be part of your crew! Hope to work with you someday :)
I LOVE Stockholm. It's one of THE best places I have ever visited. It was the week after Christmas, dead of winter, holiday lights everywhere, super cold and they had snow. (Was in Copenhagen before going to Stockholm). It was THE best and most fun trip.
This YT thing is a lot more work than most think! I spent some time at the local cable access TV station back in the 80's/90's....oh man, setting up shots and voice (days before adding voiceovers) were just crazy! Then you gotta edit the whole thing....or just leave the bloops. Haha! Congrats on getting off reserve status!! I agree with you on just make small goals and achieve them....bigger goals will follow with those. Until your next video....
Hi Paul, thank you for taking us along on your adventure. I liked that you were watching Kara & Nate’s RUclips channel. They have neat adventures as well, I loved their cruise to the North Pole on the Ice Breaker! Congratulations on becoming a line holder, I know from talking to FAs in the past, becoming a line holder is an important part of your career. Couple of questions on the bidding process. As a 757/767 Captain, I assume that the trips are awarded are a mix of 757s & 767s. Or do they separate the trips to either a 757 or 767? That is interesting that when a flight is cancelled that you were bought off the trip, I thought that if a flight gets cancelled, you didn’t get paid. If in the middle of a scheduled trip, if you had a layover in EWR for a night, since if EWR is your home base, you are not he hook for the hotel, correct? I love the bloopers at the end of the video, it makes it all real. I hope to fly with you one day. Ken
Paul, I know you're busy and all with family and exploring the world and such, but we need videos more frequently. you're my favourite Pilot Life channel to watch! Blue Skies & Tail Winds brother!
Anchor yourself alongside the dock by placing a portion of your paddle behind you … against the seat back with the bar on the dock. Then you can easy extricate from the cockpit. Luv your videos!
You are becoming (or already are) a master cameraman and video editor. Those bloopers at the end show how much thought you need to take to get a good video.
Well I done my first flight from Edinburgh to newark on 25th June. Visiting manhatten and philly. Was amazing. Left newark on 4th July bk to Edinburgh. Lot of storms that day and nite so was bumpy for a bit. But made it bk to Scotland. Thanks united airlines u made my first international trip so comfy and fun and my 4 Yr old loved it to. Will definitely fly united again 😁😁😁😁
Thank you for the content, Paul! really refreshing from the other aviation content and i really like how genuine you are. Hopefully i will be able to be on the same flight as you are piloting , get to visit the flight deck and get those trading cards and wing pins from you!
Completing small goals continuously over time achieves massive success! Wise words!!!! My next goal is to complete my first type rating on the 737-8 next month! ✈️✈️
love the video and especially the bloopers. As a youtuber myself I know al to well how easy it is to stumble up on your words. Just brush it off and keep rollin, just like you already doing =D
I just operated my first ever flight to MSP! 😎✈️ What a great terminal! I was literally walking around the place thinking about how cool it would be to run into you. I would’ve loved introducing my crew to my favourite RUclipsr👍🏼 Great video as always Paul, thanks for sharing.
FINALLY PAUL IS BACK! I dream of flying for United just like you by the way. I plan on flying the triple 7 and your videos inspire me despite you flying the 757. Thanks for your content though!
Another great video! Enjoy the bloopers. Can you make a video on your equipment and editing process (cameras, software, drones etc) . Seems you put a lot of effert into editing and would love to see how it's done and your thought process.
Would you be willing to do a video on what life was like on reserve and the struggles of it? I am 38.. dreaming of working towards starting flying and I'm trying to find a way to convince my wife to let me do it.. I'd love to hear the challenges, how to help get through them, what its REALLY like trying to become a pilot and then the realistic wait times once you get past your 1500 hours and into the regionals, from being a first officer to moving to captain, then from regionals to major airlines and the journey of first officer to captain.. and if being 38 is too old to begin. Thanks! I genuinely enjoy your videos!
Thanks for another great video! I really want to transition into aviation, I wish one day I'll be able to do so. Also, congratulations on the seniority. PS I watch Kara and Nate too :)
Best of luck Paul with you new schedule it will be better for you and your family. Love your videos I always watched with my girls, when we flight United they always looking for you when the captain say the name 🛫 thank you for sharing!

Thank you for this nice video of your flight into my home City of Stockholm. I always enjoy your videos and it was especially nice to see this one when you flew UA68/69. Take care!

I love when the pilot communicates with the passengers. Lately I’ve been on some flights where you thought the cockpit was empty! 🤷🏻♀️
As someone who’s about to get a checkride for private pilot. You’re inspiring and motivating to keep going onto the airlines which is my ultimate goal
