Another great video Kika! Even though you couldn't finish it you were still positive and happy with the outcome! I think You have inspired me to try one of these too! Love it! Look forward to the follow up video🥰👍🏼🧶
Oh!! Can't wait for part 2 to see how it comes out! I'd love the pattern. I bought your tank this week. Super excited for the book! All the best, kimberly
😂😂”why to make a wool sweater in short sleeves” it’s always mg thought when I see those type of garments in shops!! they look beautiful indeed but never bought one. Looking forward for the final results
It is so good for us to see that you can run out of yarn too! We always see the finished products and picture everything going so smoothly until the end. Wonderful video!
Even I love to knit, Kika..just a learner here...Lately been knitting a cardigan for myself with my lovely granny's help and instructions 🥰..just today I completed 1/3rd of the whole piece...very excited to see how it turns out at the end...I love to watch your videos! You are the sweetest of all!❤
Good Luck on the book! Summery short sleeve sweater in that color is very cool. Yes, knit in public is the way to be inspiring and getting others too, to approach with curiosity. There are social knitting groups and fun friends to make. Some like to knit for different reasons, to donate to hospitals and those needing something made with loving hands. Retirement homes and also for children,s hospital as a way to be a blessing in a small way. You, are very joyful!!
Love how it’s looking so far! Can’t wait to see your final result. I’ve only been knitting 1.5years (learned on YT during quarantine) and have just started making sweaters. I find your challenges to be very inspiring and your joyful enthusiasm very encouraging. All the best on your new book! Hopefully I’ll be able to order a copy. Love from 🇨🇦
Hi Kika! When your flat knits get a little bit uneven (because the tension of the purls is looser) just go a needle size down with the needle on which you purl not with which you knit. So you are working with two different needle sizes. This way your knits will look really good! And it´s very easy to do with traditional straight needles and with adjustable circular needles, too.😘🌈
I just found your channel and love it. I wish I could knit. I’ve never been able to follow a pattern. I do crochet but I can’t read a pattern in crocheting either. I went to one class ( my MIL’s gifted me with one class in knitting). I love knitting, I have an enormous amount of pot holders. Lol
I have always wanted to try knitting a Ganni sweater myself! I love the colour you have chosen - looks super fluffy. Can't wait to see how it turns out x
You have such an amazing positive energy! I loved the sleeve just as it was, maybe you can get two patterns out of one?! You seriously made me want to go get all my yellow yarn out for a crochet blanket UFO ( very rare color here) gorgeous for Finnish summers! I’m amazed at how much open space in nature you have access to, even in Helsinki. Thank you for this amazing treat, thank you to your fiancé for being an amazing partner behind the scenes! Hugs from California xxoo
Hello, Kika! Another lovely, upbeat, fun video! I really look forward to your new posts, thanks for bringing some joy to my corner of the globe! I second the commenter who hopes we Canadians will be able to purchase your knitting book! 💖 from Alberta! Keep up the good work!
Kika! I love your videos, they always put me in such a happy mood! I'll definitely be buying your book when it comes out, even more so now that I know how much work went into it
Thank you so much Kika! You really inspired me to start knitting and also to make it in a free and liberating creative way. I love the construction of the shirt that you suggested, I should try it!
I’m so glad to hear you got inspired ☺️ I was so pleased with how this construction turned out, and on Monday I can finally get some more yarn to complete the sleeves 🥰
"I'm slightly worried about running out of yarn." - proceeds to turn around to a full cupboard of neatly organized yarn stash xD But I can sympathize with that. One can never have enough yarn after all!
Love your videos! Would you be willing to make a video sometime of how you reconstruct a sleeve, like you were mentioning in this video? I would love to know more about that process as well as how to do alterations on knitted items. Thanks again for all your wonderful efforts!
I love the way you went about the collar on this sweater but still have no idea how to do the increases and decreases to make the hole for the neck. I have some experience in knitting raglan sweaters top down, but would love to be able to just knit without a pattern like you do! Love the colour of your sweater.
This was so much fun! I didn’t know about world wide knitting day nor about living to knit in school. In America, we have moved too far away from arts and crafts and I wish we had programs that will allow more access to tap into our creativity 😀.
Well done Kika...if you could make a video on suggesting tips on how to design sweaters for beginners....I mean aspects like sleeve cutting, neckline designing, and the ultimate sweater designing tip.
In Europe, the Netherlands, I can't find your book. It is everywhere solden. I don't know how manny it cost te sell it in your country. I mean to send it to Holland. I like your sweater and the colour.
Great video! As always, I admire your enthusiasm and creativity :) Also like the parts where you just knit and talk. I always wonder how to best make the folded collar. How do I "sew" it so that it's flexible enough? How do you do it, do you show it already in another tutorial?
Congratulations an reaching another milestone for your book! Lovely video with a simply elegant project. A pattern for this one your most certainly be welcome :)
Hi Kika! I love the sweater, I think it'll be gorgeous when you finish it and I can't wait to see the next video! I also have a question: when you need more yarn because you haven't bought enough in the first place, do you just go and buy some more? I am someone who tends to miscalculate how much yarn a project is going to need too, and I'm always scared that if I go and buy some more it'll somehow look slightly different than the rest because the yarn is from a different batch. Hope you get what I mean, I'd love to know how you get out of that pickle! Thank you! Also, bravo on completing your book and keeping up with the socials as well! We would have missed you a lot!!!
Ah I run into the same tricky pickle so often too, as seen in the video 😂 I try to go to the same shop to see if they have the same batch of dye lot (to try to match the color like you said), but if I can’t find it, or if so micj time has passed, I’ll usually ”stripe” the new color in. So, if I’ve got a different shade I’ll alternate with the old and new yarn for a 10-20 rows depending on the project to get a smoother transition instead of having a line appear, hope this makes sense ☺️
Kika! What talent your amazing! Love your kitties they are adorable, could you tell what circulars needle your using in this particular video n wear can I purchase? Thank you for your inspiration
What a beautiful top. I love it. I like how you used double yarn. I’m a knitted myself but I’ve never knitted double knowing that I’m doing myself a disservice with experimenting with different yarns to create different textures. I was interested in how you knitted it as top down as it seemed a different approach - did you add the collared rib afterwards? (As opposed to knitting as the start?). Looking forward to seeing the final product. I love knitting challenges. This year I did my own challenge and attempted colourwork using Jen Steingass designs which I love.
I also learnt to knit as a young kid from my grandma (my great-grandma, actually, who died this year). The very first thing I learnt (and last 💀) was a small scarf I made for a plushie. I really hated it and couldn’t be bothered, but I love the look of hand-knit sweaters so much that here I am, ten years later, trying to ease myself back in 💀
Another enjoyable video. Congratulations on your book - it's getting closer and closer and I can't wait for the release. I did not see this asked, but did you knit the blue/white striped sweater you wore in the video? So beautiful and nautical.
When you do a challenge knit doesn’t you hands hurt?????? Seriously I can’t imagine knitting sweater in such a short time without my hands hurting!!! Amazing what you do. Love your vids
Think you have done a grand job with your book. That is always learning process. Love the sweater but would like it with a capped sleeve. It is 37*C here in Virginia today! Too hot for sweaters. Refilling my birdbath through out the day. My feathered darlings are SO hot.
It's ok it happens. You succeeded at making a cool knitting in public themed video. But this is just what happens in knitting sometimes. Happens to everyone sometimes and it's ok
Ur patterns r not form fitting and this makes it seem to me easier. It would b nice if u can break down ur pattern into the design process, especially on sleeves. Luv ur AV and knit patterns. So excited for the new author. 😊
Same. Too overly ambitious. Have to convince myself to be satisfied with completing small tasks over longer time for the project. Not as young as I used to be, sadly, things slow down!
I'm a beginner at knitting and I was worried that I was never going to learn, and embarrassed because I'm a beginner at 30! However I'm loving your videos and making my first project which is a corner to corner lap blanket 😄😄
We haven’t talked about that option with the publisher currently, but it’s an option that I’m happy to consider but depends a little bit on my publisher since it requires some logistics 🧐☺️☺️
Another great video Kika! Even though you couldn't finish it you were still positive and happy with the outcome! I think You have inspired me to try one of these too! Love it! Look forward to the follow up video🥰👍🏼🧶
Thank you so much for watching and so glad you enjoyed it ☺️ I’ll definitely complete the sweater for next week’s video ✨😍
omg I LOVE how cozy your channel is!
Oh!! Can't wait for part 2 to see how it comes out! I'd love the pattern. I bought your tank this week. Super excited for the book! All the best, kimberly

Love the book !!!! ❤ just love your honest truth about knitting and you are an inspiration to all knitters of all ages ❤
Can’t wait to see the finished product! I also love growingannanas videos for workouts, she’s the best!
My grandma taught me to knit as well. It's such great memory.

I can't wait to see the puffy sleeves in all their glory, and the buttery color is fabulous!
Love your videos I like the way you solve any knitting issue with a great attitude. Greetings from Bolivia!
Gorgeous!! You’ve made me want to get back into knitting so bad!!! Will be looking for your book😍
Kika! I love your videos, they always put me in such a happy mood! I'll definitely be buying your book when it comes out, even more so now that I know how much work went into it
I'm astonished by how well your cats travel! Such good kitties ❤

@@Kutovakika that's great to know! Can't wait to see the finished piece on you. Enjoy the summer and happy knitting!
I can’t wait for your book to come out 😊♥️ everything you make is beautiful
Adorable! I’m also wrong with the amount of yarn and in the next project I buy a lot more yarn ☺️ Waiting for your book ❤️
"I'm slightly worried about running out of yarn." - proceeds to turn around to a full cupboard of neatly organized yarn stash xD
But I can sympathize with that. One can never have enough yarn after all!
Looks great, so far. Can't wait for the finished sweater.
I always end up pushing the long sleeves up(on sweaters), so the way you made it looks perfect to me.☺️
Love your videos! Would you be willing to make a video sometime of how you reconstruct a sleeve, like you were mentioning in this video? I would love to know more about that process as well as how to do alterations on knitted items. Thanks again for all your wonderful efforts!
I like the sleeve as it is so far 😍. Tx for the great content Kutovakika.
Thank you for sharing, you encoraged me to knitt and I watched the viedo while I am knitting, all love and thanks to you ❤

I pre-ordered your book. You are very perceptive and talented. I love everything about you and your videos
Enjoyed the video and seeing it take shape. Sooo excited for the book⭐️😊
you could always layer it with a longer sleeved top underneath! i love your video

I wear short sleeved woollens indoors especially when sitting down knitting .
Congratulations an reaching another milestone for your book!
Lovely video with a simply elegant project. A pattern for this one your most certainly be welcome :)
👍
Looking forward to getting your book :) I'm knitting your Yellow Queen Sweater at the moment! Loving the pattern and the colours.
Your such an awesome knitter and designer love your work!! Looking forward for your knitting book to be published!!
So excited about your book! Can’t wait!💚💚💚

Great job KiKa!!😊💪
loved this video! Love the sweater!
Love all your videos 🥰 Thank you for sharing your creative process. ❤️ I eagerly await your book!
It looks beautiful. I hope you get it finished.

@@Kutovakika that is actually genius! Never thought of that, thank you!!!! Will definitely try this next time I run out of yarn again... 😅
Can you not over buy and return any unused yarn?
That’s what I do.
I love that sweater. Really love that sweater 😍. If you make a pattern please include 2 sleeve choices. Thanks for pushing me from my comfort zone .
Oh, you did a great job. The bady looks really good and I'm more of a raglan lover 😊

I absolutely love the black and white striped sweater with the zipper. Is that one of your patterns? Thanks for all your videos
Love everything you done KiKa … thanks your video …. ❤️❤️❤️
Personally I like the sleve as it is now. Beautiful sweater & the color is perfect. ♡
I like it like that! It looks beautiful.
When you do a challenge knit doesn’t you hands hurt?????? Seriously I can’t imagine knitting sweater in such a short time without my hands hurting!!! Amazing what you do. Love your vids
the first puff slee ve was gorgeous though!
Missed KIKA during book writing. I forgive u. 😊 I see many more books in future.
really ejoyed both your knitting challenges videos💜🌞💜
The sweater is soooo cute! I like thr sleeve as is.

Subscribed last night (25th Sept 22), already hooked 🤣Lovely content, great ideas, thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous sweater 👏😍
Like the sentence " when work is fun"
Can’t wait for your book ! Will I be able to buy it in UK ?
Amazing episode ❤️
Your stiches are messy/ uneven, more than mine even lol! does blocking fix that ? Ive never blocked knitting , only crochet squares.
I so enjoy your videos! Listening and watching you is so enchanting! I’m glad I found your channel! Rumiko

I'm obsessed with the black and white sweater. Do you have a pattern for it?
Great fitting 👍😁 awesome 👌

New subscriber. I am hooked. love your videos.
I love your videos!
You can knit some lace gloves that match the sweater 😍
I'm a beginner at knitting and I was worried that I was never going to learn, and embarrassed because I'm a beginner at 30! However I'm loving your videos and making my first project which is a corner to corner lap blanket 😄😄
I hope you do make it in to a pattern. Very cute. Very classic. Very feminine. Very soft and fluffy.
Is reading knitting patterns as easy as reading crochet patterns?
Love this!!! I can not find the pattern on the link.
Where do we get your book? Amazon? Title please...
Where will er be able to buy your book from? I live in Sweden.
Would you do a video on how you designed the yoke for this sweater?
I love your videos. You are just charming. I saw that you have a book out. Does it have to be sent express mail? The postage is more than the book.
How does that pink pony, which you did in the childhood looked like?
Will the book be available as an e-book?
We haven’t talked about that option with the publisher currently, but it’s an option that I’m happy to consider but depends a little bit on my publisher since it requires some logistics 🧐☺️☺️
