The part where you said you lose interest at the end of a project and toss it to the side is 100% me! I have ADHD and I get so hyped during 75% of the process and that last 25% kills me and by the time I done I’m over it and it doesn’t feel like an accomplishment even 🙄 which you’re right, it’s so annoying!
I'm the exact opposite! Starting out I think I still have sooooo much to do, I lose motivation. But when it's almost finished I can't wait to see it done
Dear Kika, When I watched your wedding dress knitting sprint video I really felt that suspense ) and worried about the deadline haha. I didn’t know what a mature knitter you are. These earlier works really show the progress and I totally love what you’re doing now. Keep creating!
You can ALWAYS adjust an existing knit, especially if you want it shorter. Simply mark a line, cut it, then pick up the stitches and bind them off, or add another rib. Easy, peasy! You can do it!! Thanks so much for letting us see your process.
"I've calmed myself down after my wild years of knitting" haha love it. I've always been curious about your knits, the grey "chunky collar" and pink cardi with pockets are my favorites! Never been able to knit more than a straight scarf in the past but maybe I'll get back into it one of these days, because it's so hard to find THE perfect sweater in stores!
Some colors are really wild. I like my sweaters long so those would be ideal for me. Yours are so beautiful even if the colors are wild and way too. BRight for my taste. They look great on you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching! :)) I feel like once you get a hang of doing seamless knits, a whole new world of possibilities open :)
This knits are so adorable, I would love to have the time to knit, my first jumper has taken me 5 years, such a celebration when I’ve finished, sending big hugs ❤️
Hi I love to knitting, it's my favorite hobby... I started when I was very young 12 years old...and I did beautiful mainly sweaters for the whole family. I got married and I stopped knitting for so long ,that I almost forgot, all the skills of knitting. But by whatcing your videos gave me the courage to go back and start a new project. Thank you very much .
Love this video so much. Watched it when my knitting projects stopped and get so much inspired by to finished my knitting projects. Please more of this cozy, warm and heart hugging stuff. Greatings from candle light autumn in Germany 💕
I love knitting scarfs and beanies but never dared to knit any sweater coz it just felt a really big project but seeing your collection I definitely want to try knitting a whole sweater now😁❤️
This was so inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing, I watched the video while knitting, heard you talking about all your projects inspired me to finish my current one and start a new one!
I found your channel a year ago because I was looking for a knitting tutorial. I have LOVED following your channel! It’s just such a beautiful corner of happy in this world ❤️
Love your knits! I started off as a knitter but ultimately quit because I wasn’t really using my needles correctly and became discouraged and turned to crochet, but I’m slowly being inspired to get back into it. Also, thank you for the tip of not hanging knitwear! I made my first ever sweater in crochet and it’s so heavy, I should have known not to hang it! As soon as you added that tip I paused and snatched it off my hanger in the closet 😂 I’m gonna get a storage bin that slides under my bed to hold my handmade items from now on, thank you so much
Love your video and your sweaters!!! And the hanging hanger with lights. 😍 Thanks so much for sharing. Will be checking out your other vlogs and merch....😊❤️🇨🇦
These are AMAZING!! You are so incredibly talented. I love the colors and the designs. I used to knit but never got that good at it. Now I crochet and have made a few sweaters. It is fun to try out new things.
I agree entirely with you with regards to turning something you love (knitting) into a business. Hand knits not only take long to craft but the sewing up (joining of pieces) takes a long time too! I looked into the same idea - and came to the same conclusion as you. Still, now you can do it as a beloved hobby. Nice to see this part of your life Kika!
I've been wanting to start to learn knitting for a while now, I know some simple basics but not nearly as much as you know. This video gave me a lots of motivation to start♥️♥️
Thank you so much for this video, I am so grateful for your show and tell. I really like knitting in the round myself, but I mainly do cardigans. Unlike you I don’t have any garments that I have unfinished. I have a couple of garments I have only worn a few times, but this has mainly been because they are in cashmere yarns and I am keeping them for best. Now that we are in winter lock down we can benefit from the comfort of our hand knits. This is especially the case for people like myself who enjoy luxury yarns.
Great video, Kika...You are quite the talented person! Love all of your sweaters, especially with the long sleeves and the ones with a cropped length! Thanks for sharing!!
Oh my, your way of thinking resonates with me. I have plenty trials and errors in knitting. Beautiful work, and many different techniques used! Subscribed!
Oooo I really love how the knitting in rounds effect looks ❤️ I'm going to have to learn that soon (maybe after finishing the handful of knit and crochet projects I have on the go now lol)
My absolute favourite knit is the pink cardigan with the hood, sooo pretty.. 🤩🤩🤩 If you should ever get tired of it, I'd gladly take it off your hands..
Oh my goodness! How have you knotted all of those beautiful jumpers?! The detail and intricacy are amazing! You are so so talented! Gorgeous 🤍 I wish I could knit! Xxx
I once had a mother in law who would bless me with sweaters on birthdays and Christmas, so my my trick was to slather my skin in lotion - I mean butter it like a biscuit (American biscuit, not a cookie), scone or bread - liberally, and then it would coat the inside of the itchy sweater and then not bother me at all. I also added a little bottle of lotion to pack in my purse in case I needed to reapply it at the neck and wrists. I have also lain my sweaters and scarves in a hot bath with liquid fabric softener and it's not a problem, even for wool, as long as you do not agitate. Just press down in the bath and leave it alone to soak, Be sure to use a generous amount, and let it soak until the water gets cool and then and depending on how much you actually did use, you might want to rinse it once in cold water by patting it down into the water - no swishing or agitation if it's actual wool - unless it says washable - and lay flat to dry on towels or rust free safety/ plastic coated wire grid. Be sure to change out the towels along the drying process and turn yer sweater over for complete drying
Wow what an amazing collection. I’m a beginner crocheter and your work looks so intricate. I’ve bought some round knitting needles (if that’s what you call them). Will have to check out your other videos. Thanks for sharing
I started following your channel because of your photography tips. I didn’t know you also knit. Your sweaters and cardigans are beautiful! I have knit a few things, but I primarily crochet. I completely agree about getting ideas for the next project as you’re finishing one. I have a notebook just for those ideas.
Those are one of the most beautiful knits I have seen in my life.. 💜 I adore especially the fluffier ones in pastel colours.. 🤩I also really like your T-shirt designs - thinking about getting the one with the girl painting the 🌈..
I came across your video and part way through realized that I had knitted one of your patterns! It was the grey and white Lopi feather sweater and I’m so in love with it!
What a great video! I love the chunky grey pullover and would definitely buy this pattern if you were able to publish it! Thanks for the video! Inspirational!
Woooow! They're so pretty 😍. I love your knittings! For some time I wanted to knit a paterned pullover for winter, but I always feard the big project (not going to the end, not get what I wanted), but seeing your beautiful works I think I'll try over summer, so I have enough time to try 😊.
That's true, the colorful ones are very personal and I loooove to wear colors. I think if the fit would be a bit more contemporary on them I'd wear them still, at least some of them maybe not the most crazy ones 😅
Oh my goodness! As an avid knitter I absolutely loved this video! I have always admired your hand knits on here and on your Instagram and so this video was particularly interesting as I love how you wear your knits! Please can we have more knitting videos!
Envious of your knitting skills. Tried knitting several times, but ended up with half finished projects and rsi. So, I stuck to crochet projects instead. But seeing this now makes me want to unravel and start over. Happy Christmas 🎄to you Kika and congratulations on your upcoming wedding 😍 👰🏻
Juste discovered your channel and I'm in love with your knits, I also like your liveliness. Your Pink cable sweater is my Dream hand made masterpeace. I also like having new projects before finishing wips, this is so tempting !
The unfinished projects one is soo relatable I started knitting as a school project in grade 10 and haven't finished them yet Definitely gonna take some inspiration, hope you don't mind. Love 💓
All gorgeous!! My favourite is your hoodie with the diamond check sleeves. Please publish the pattern. Also love your crochet buttons. Love your style. ❤️
Your pieces are a work of art especially the bright colorful and lacy ones! Love them!!! By the way the nowadays length is equivalent to the hight of jeans. Everything comes back to be modern again :)
Love it! ALL are gorgeous even the first one with the crocheted flowers 😍😍😍 wish I was as productive as you! I agree about the alpaca quite possibly the softest and non itchy. What about angora rabbits?
So delightful. You are such a creative knitter. I had to decide, “Enjoy this rare young lady, but do not try to be like her.” Pick up your needles (mostly straight ones) and progress, satisfied with whatever level of craft talent you have… !” You are an Inspiration! Thank you❌🥢⭕️

pick smaller projects 😁.
I'm the exact opposite! Starting out I think I still have sooooo much to do, I lose motivation. But when it's almost finished I can't wait to see it done
Same for me. It's a struggle getting to weaving in to that very last end!
I feel this!!!
I also have ADHD and the same issues. I’m so tired of making hats and would like to make sweaters.
This video is so cozy! And also contagious - now I want to knit myself a puffy sweather! ha ha
It's the perfect hobby to start right now in the middle of this dark season :)

I had just decided that I wanted to learn knitting yesterday! What a great video for me to start off with! 😊
Beware, it's a deep, deep rabbit hole! But the bottom is cosy and warm!
All of your knits are wonderful, but the pink pocket cardigan is so beautiful! I crave to make one of my own.
